Vorsicht mit Enterprise!

Die Öffnungszeiten der Filiale stimmten nicht mit den Angaben auf der Homepage überein, so dass die Fahrzeugübergabe verkürzt und ohne Begutachtung erfolgte. Mehr als drei Wochen später erhielt ich eine Schadenforderung von CHF 1’940.40. Mehrmalige Schreiben und das Einschalten der Rechtsschutzversicherung für genauere Bilder blieben über Monate unbeantwortet. Obwohl ich mir sicher bin, dass ich den Schaden nicht verursacht habe, konnte ich dies schlussendlich nicht beweisen. Die Firma Enterprise zeigte kein Entgegenkommen und bot nur schlechten Kundenservice.

Pre booked and paid for Focus Estate

Pre booked and paid for Focus Estate - arrived with none available and told it would be too small for the 5 of us. It’s an estate I thought!!
Initially offered larger vehicle for £900 more!!! I said no way! They then said they had a Berlingo - queue forming behind me, tired passenger and pressure so I accepted and had to sign document accordingly! Additional £230 on top of the £320 already paid.
Very annoyed but we’re we’re in the road at least. Got the receipt to see ‘upsell’ as the reason for the increase- unbelievable!! Wripped off - avoid this company, they make the most of seeing you under pressure and wanting to get out of the airport!

Go for Green motion - these will rip you off anyway

I rented a car for one day in Zurich. I dropped the car back and didn't wait for it to be checked (as I always do) and they later claimed I had stone chips on 3 windows. I had taken photos of all but not the windows. Of course we had never had any stone chips on the motorway. They charged €1500.
I chose them above the cheaper as I thought they were reputable but they are the fraudsters. i had external insurance. my advice is to get insurance and go for the cheapest - these are absolutely no better than the cheapest.

Avoid renting from this company

Avoid renting from this company — the experience felt like a scam. I was charged around CHF 3,400 for damage that was already present when I picked up the car — clearly marked on the official check-out form.

I submitted a full dispute with evidence and requested escalation to a senior claims specialist, but received no meaningful response — just silence. This level of disregard and lack of accountability basically equates fraud. They definitely prey on anyone who doesn't get full coverage. If you rent from them, be prepared to be charged for damage you didn’t cause and to be ignored when you try to contest it. There are far more honest and reliable rental companies out there — steer clear.

Very disappointing

Very disappointed that the customer service rep wouldn’t give us one hour grace to drop the car off, wanted to charge for a full extra day. Wanted to drop the car off at 12pm in a week, but as we were collecting at 11am they needed it back at that time -
no flexibility.

Had to sit in Geneva airport waiting for an hour until midday. Then when going back to ‘collect’ the car, we’re told our car isn’t available you can have a mini van instead, but we have to wait for someone to drive it around. It’s now been another 30mins.

1.5hrs waiting in total so far…

Lost a customer, Enterprise.

Absolutely disgusting service!

Absolutely disgusting service!! AVOID AVOID AVOID! On returning to the UK we have been charged £1300 with no explanation whatsoever the money has been taken from my credit card!!! Trying to contact them via telephone; advised to to complete an online form to which they haven’t replied. Heartbreaking when you work so hard to take your family on holiday and then get charged for something you know nothing about. Please avoid 😔

There appears to be significant…

There appears to be significant evidence of fraud at this branch. I have never hired a car that was in such bad condition as this was on collection. The car was dirty and had so many scratches, damage and marks you couldn’t realistically check them all. I pointed this out to the clerk and I was assured that I shouldn’t worry. I took a video anyway. Sure enough SIX weeks after returning the vehicle I get a bill for a ‘scratch’ on the wing mirror that I know 100% I did not cause. The branch appear to be charging multiple customers for the same damage and then not even repairing them. It is really shocking behaviour and I would never use them again in Geneva. I want to warn other possible customers that based on the numerous complaints on Google that there is a clear pattern of behaviour at this branch of Enterprise.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! This firm is clearly scamming its customers as much as possible. I have just been charged £1,300 for a new windscreen replacement for a very minor chip in the windscreen. A few things to note about that:
- I only drove the car to a resort and back; never heard a thing in terms of impact so I am really not sure it was me.
- The chip is small and right down near the scuttle panel, so no where near the sightline of the driver. So even if it is real, why not just do a chip repair, why replace the entire windscreen?!
- The photo they sent of the 'chip' looks like no windscreen chip I have ever seen in my life. It is just a white spot......oddly the same colour white as the pen they have ringed the 'damage' with for the benefit of the photo. What a coincidence.
- Even if it is true and the chip does exist and I was driving when it happened, how is a minor chip on the windscreen, not considered 'wear and tear' as per their t&c's?

Do yourself a favour, shop else where and put these scammers out of business.

Hidden charges - beware!

Long wait at Geneva Airport despite having already pre-registered all my details. They could not provide the advertised car and so I had to pay for a larger one. On top of this they charged me a CHF23 'Airport Charge' (which I had already paid as part of the original booking and for which there was no explanation). Upon returning the car I discovered that I then had to pay an additional CHF 30 for the snow chains which I had been informed were already included in the original prepayment. I cannot be sure whether this was all disclosed in their extremely small font T&Cs because the Enterprise employee put pressure on me to sign given the huge queues at their desk.

Absolutely disgusting service

Absolutely disgusting service. Avoid avoid avoid. I rented a car from them, they are most unhelpful and tell you nothing when you arrive. They simply give you the keys after charging a £1000 surcharge. Then after paying for the car for 3 days (180 gbp) they then decide to charge my card with £400 a week after giving the car back. There is no explanation as to what this charge is for and Alamo (enterprise) are not even able to answer the phone and tell you. Absolutely disgusting service please avoid using them as I'm fairly certain they are one big scam!

Extremely Poor Customer Service and Disrespectful Response

I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with this company. Their verification system failed repeatedly, and despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I received zero support. I tried contacting their Geneva airport office numerous times, but no one answered. I also called their central office in Madrid, but that was equally useless.

The response I finally received felt *unbelievably condescending*. Instead of acknowledging their failure to provide assistance, they spoke to me as if I didn’t understand the process, comparing it to a flight booking! This is utterly disrespectful and unacceptable, as I had already stated in my email that I needed help, not patronizing explanations about how I uploaded my documents.

As an international official living in Switzerland, I understand that some of my documents might not match perfectly with my Swiss address. However, other companies that offer similar services have treated me professionally and with respect, which is something this company clearly lacks.

I will make sure to share this poor experience on multiple platforms, including this review, Twitter, and Trustpilot, to warn other potential customers. The lack of proper service and rude responses to client issues speak volumes about how this company treats its customers.

Ich hatte kürzlich eine äußerst frustrierende Erfahrung mit dieser Firma. Das Verifizierungssystem funktionierte mehrfach nicht und trotz wiederholter Versuche, das Problem zu lösen, habe ich KEINE Unterstützung erhalten. Ich habe versucht die Niederlassung am Flughafen Genf mehrmals zu kontaktieren, aber niemand hat geantwortet. Ebenso nutzlos war ein Anruf bei der Zentrale in Madrid.

Die Antwort, die ich schließlich erhalten habe, war *unglaublich herablassend*. Anstatt ihr Versäumnis, Unterstützung zu leisten, einzugestehen, wurde mir erklärt, dass ich den Prozess offensichtlich nicht verstehen würde und meine Situation wurde mit einer Flugbuchung verglichen! Das ist völlig respektlos und inakzeptabel, da ich in meiner E-Mail bereits gesagt hatte, dass ich HILFE brauche, nicht herablassende Erklärungen, wie man Dokumente hochlädt.

Als internationaler Beamter, der in der Schweiz lebt, verstehe ich sehr wohl, dass einige meiner Dokumente möglicherweise nicht perfekt zu meiner Adresse in der Schweiz passen. Andere Firmen mit ähnlichen Dienstleistungen behandeln mich jedoch stets professionell und respektvoll, etwas, das dieser Anbieter offenbar nicht beherrscht.

Ich werde sicherstellen, dass ich diese schlechte Erfahrung auf mehreren Plattformen teile, einschließlich dieser Bewertung, Twitter und Trustpilot, um andere potentielle Kunden zu warnen. Der Mangel an ordentlichem Service und respektlosen Antworten auf Kundenprobleme sagt alles darüber aus, wie dieses Unternehmen seine Kunden behandelt.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY (Enteprise, Alamo, National)

SCAMMING THEIR CUSTOMERS

I rented a car in Zurich recently, the car had multiple damages already and I took photos of the exterior upon pickup. Had no issues throughout my rental.

After I returned the car, I received a ridiculous claim for a missing luggage compartment cover (parcel shelf), charging 800 CHF (!!!) to my credit card.

There was simply no luggage compartment cover installed on the car when I rented it - it was given to me without this.

Their customer support is completely unresponsive and now I'm sitting here with an absurd 800 franc loss for a part that wasn't even in the car in the first place.

All other reviews show that they are systemically doing this to their customers. Stay away from these scammers!

Complete scam

If I could give this scam of a rental car a zero, I would. Do not use! We rented a car for three days in January and made sure to drive carefully and safely in snowy conditions given we have young children, always parking in secure spaces. When we returned the car at the airport, there was no one there to receive it and even though we waited a good amount of time no one arrived so we dropped the keys in the dropbox and thought that was that. A few minutes later we receive an email saying we had damaged the tires, so of course we went to their office to contest this as there was clearly no damage, however again no one was there. My husband waited a long time but no one turned up and unfortunately we had to leave so unable to dispute in person or even check the car again. Surprise suprise after two weeks we get a bill for 427cfh for these so called damages. It is not even possible to dispute the claim as they don't reply to emails, and on trawling the internet apparently this has been a form of scam they have been operating for many years to hapless tourists like us. If you did not pay for the premium insurance, be prepared to get charged for made up damages. (Update: it seems even if you do pay for premium insurance they will still find a way to charge you as seen from other people's experiences!)

Hired a vehicle from Geneva airport and returned a week later in the same condition, was then charged nearly £3000 for ‘damage’. I submitted photographic evidence that clearly showed this was incorrect, no reply from the company. Absolutely shocking, a complete scam.

Dishonest communications

They charged me for an extra day, failed to communicate with me (by email) and then sent the charge to a collection agency (debtist). If you have any other options, I recommend not dealing with Helvetic Mobility (aka Enterprise.ch).

Enterprise, National & Alamo

This is the desk for Enterprise, Alamo and National. I made the effort to complete all the information including driving licence, passport and credit card prior to arriving and checked in using the self service checkin. This however made no difference and we still queued for ages. Each checking took about 20 minutes with only 2 agents to serve customers. Europcar on the other hand had 3 agents, no queue and a considerably quicker checkin service. I clearly chose the wrong company here and won’t make that mistake again.

Shocking treatment

Shocking treatment. My flight was delayed. Told me my booking had "expired." No refund. If l wanted a car l had to re book. Cost me twice as much (£650 for 6 days) for an inferior car. They are scammers. Avoid at all cost.

Honestly worst service I’ve ever…

Honestly worst service I’ve ever experienced. Rude staff who were very unhelpful. Told us the car would be ready in 5 minutes, 1.5 hours later we are still waiting. Don’t use them. This refers to the French side of the Geneva airport Enterprise rental.

Enterprsie Car Rental Basel Airport

Reading the reviews below, there's a theme here. A really, really awful experience. No-one there to collect the car from, no-one there to drop the car off with, (then got accused of returning it late!), maximum charge for a small scuff, fines for not having a vignette (when we did), which were appallingly communicated meaning we missed it, so couldn't appeal then got a further 'admin charge'. Unfortunately for the Enterprise / Alamo / National Group, they have lost my private and corporate business for good, due to this one rogue branch.
