Recently visited Thornley recycling site to dispose of a number of items.
The guys there were so helpful and ensured we placed them in the correct skips. Phil was particularly helpful and we enjoyed a laugh with him too.

Awful rebate process asks for on line upload of bank statement with no alternative. Why do they need access to all the information THAT would pass on? Why no alternative paper route for the less able computer uses? Try phoning - -"Wait 45 minutes" - - and even that poor prediction not met!
Poor planning .Poor performance. Awful service.

I confirmed my bin collection day and put my bins out. Their statement about Bank Holidays is service as normal. If rubbish is not collected put out on the next collection scheduled collection. So that will be 1 month between collections. Someone needs a reprimand.

I was on holiday with a coach company who were told that they could only drop off beside the Passport Office. Most of the people on the coach were aged over 75, some with sticks and walkers and most wanted to see Durham Cathedral and were extremely disappointed. Coach companies will probably not pull into Durham in the future. It was one of my ticks so I was one of the disappointed!

Just received an email today from Durham County Council - Council Tax, which read - "Log into your account on-line today to download your statement". Tried many many times without success. checked my log-in details which were correct. Tried a different browser. NO, All I was getting were errors from their server. So, I phoned. Lol, waited on hold for 15 mins and gave up. I am paying over £1600 a year for this rubbish service. London pay half as much for a much better service.

How does it take over a month to reply to a email? I’ve had to RESEND another email after I requested help multiple times and I get ignored. And it doesn’t help having anger problems and you lot ignoring my emails with something I NEED help with and sorting. This council is an absolute disgrace along with those who run the area.

I requested an extra green bin from this authority . I was refused .
We are a disabled family with 3 of us and our daughter is ok. ( not in wheelchairs ) . 2 of us are mentally ill and my wife had a liver transplant .
I have reported 1 neighbour accross the road from us twice . There's only her and her two kids , and she has 3 green bins out for rubbish collection every 2 weeks . 🙄.
I queried on how she's allowed 3 bins and yet we are refused 1 extra bin ???
All I was told is there will be an investigation . Yeh that was 2 month back .

Terrible management at the planning department, You can't get anyone to speak to and very late respondent to your emails, Who's running this clumsy establishment!!

Paid for a large item removal at £16 and cause I didn't block a public walk way forcing elderly and disabled people onto the road they did not pic my waste up stating regardless of people the items must be on the kerb side. no consideration for the health of its community. and they want me to pay again.
