Wish I'd read here first. Paid £12.95 for postage via "Special Delivery by 1pm. Next working day (after dispatch), tracked and signed."
Turned up via DPD, not signed, after 1pm.
Customer services say they switched due to Royal Mail issues and are refusing to refund the delivery cost.
Clear misadvertising - I will avoid in future.

Waiting for a refund which, having read other reviews, will probably never come. Told twice by customer service that refund was processed on 16th September but nothing has shown on my credit card account.
I cancelled my order due to the 24 hour next day delivery not arriving. They hadn't even started preparing the order at this point.
Disgusting way to operate a business, avoid at all costs.

Absolutely awful communication from this company.
Phone lines repeatedly ring with no answer, live chats never connect with anyone despite saying an agent is online (I tried for a full day).
Unclear timelines for orders, borderline deceptive.

Wait time also reasonable. I think people forget you usually wait like 3-4 weeks for glasses at specsavers so I really did not see an issue with the wait.
Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

Paid for next day dispatch over a week ago, still no progress, no replies to emails, live chat, no one answers calls, absolute joke.

Ordered glasses on 26th of Sept. Was given delivery date, didn't come. Given another date, didn't come. Still waiting today 15 Oct. Looked on tracker, stating still in lab. Emailed, ignored. Contacting bank to get my money back

Absolutely shocking customer service from Direct Sight. I returned my glasses on 27 September for an exchange, and Royal Mail confirmed they were delivered back to the company on 29 September.

Since then, I have been constantly chasing them for updates, only to be repeatedly told that my replacement glasses would be dispatched the following day. Every single promised dispatch date has come and gone, with nothing being sent.

On 1 October, I was told my glasses were in production and would be dispatched within 24 hours. On 6 October, I was told they were already in dispatch. Then, on 13 October, I was informed that my order had actually made no progress whatsoever since 1 October!

Despite this, I was once again assured that my glasses would be dispatched that day. Unsurprisingly, nothing happened. Another member of staff then personally promised they would be dispatched the following morning. Once again, no dispatch confirmation, no tracking information and no update.

To make matters worse, I paid an additional £9.95 for same-day production, which I was told had been refunded on 1 October. Over two weeks later, I still haven’t received the money, and they’re now apparently investigating where the refund has gone.

I’ve sent numerous emails, some of which have been completely ignored, and have now had to make a formal complaint just to get any meaningful response.

It has now been over two weeks since they received my returned glasses, and I am still without my replacements or a clear explanation of what’s going on.

I understand that delays happen, but repeatedly promising customers that their orders will be dispatched, only to fail to follow through every single time, is completely unacceptable.

I’ve now reached the point of requesting my money back and am prepared to escalate the matter through my bank if necessary.

Save yourself the frustration and order your glasses elsewhere. I certainly won’t be using Direct Sight again.

Would give zero stars if I could, paid for next day delivery just for them not come a week later still. Try to phone them and you’ll get hung up on. Try chatting to them through a live chat and they won’t chat to you. Avoid at all costs it is awful!

Thought I’d try them, the website looked good and everything seemed straightforward. I didn’t have a long wait to receive them. They arrived in a bag within a box. I excitedly took them out and one of lenses fell to the floor. The frame also looked out, as if things were upside down, just not right, spacing between the eyes etc 🤣

They have agreed to a refund but you don’t get a full refund, around half back. I lose out, they don’t.

Whether I actually get that refund is another matter…

Took just under a month for glasses to arrive despite delivery estimate being just a few days.
Several emails to them regarding this just resulted in excuse after excuse.
Glasses arrived and are poor quality and lenses are loose in the frame.
Don’t give your money to this company, dodgy to say the least.

I’ve emailed multiple times to try to resolve an issue and you’re flat out ignoring calls and emails.

Shocking service, nearly 4 weeks still waiting for glasses to be despatched

I wish I’d clicked on the reviews before ordering. I paid for rapid delivery as I needed the glasses before a trip. They have not been delivered and I cannot get hold of customer service. Seems like a scam to me. Avoid avoid avoid,

Ordered from them six weeks ago and still no glasses. Every time I contact them they apologise and say they'll be dispatched in few days. Deadline passes and I contact them again. I feel like I'm in a never ending loop where I do all the chasing and they do all the fobbing me off. Tried to phone them and was cut off twice by them, once after being on hold for half an hour. AVOID!!!!

After emailing them yet again to request my money back, they have now fully refunded me!!

Dreadful service, took payment but order did not go through. Only 10 dwys but still in the lab, ignored emails and wish I had read the reviews. Will order via another reputable site but would recommend that NOBODY purchases from Direct Sight UK.

Ordered around 3 weeks ago.
Tracking says in lab.
Emailed them and was told 4 more days. That was 8 days ago.
Emailed again today to ask for a refund but have recieved no reply.
I would not recommend .

Ordered varifocal specs 18 September 26. End delivery date of October 2. Sent 3 enquiry emails. Apologies each time but to be sent out next few days never arriving. I have used this company before with no complaints so I was confident when ordering again.

Specs arrived 19 October '26. They are most satisfactory, pity I had to write this review. This has shaken my confidence in this company.
Don't know if I will use them again.

Unbelievably poor service from start to finish. Paid for express delivery, for reference I ordered from goggles4u at the same time and didn’t pay for their express delivery. My glasses were due to arrive on the Tuesday, my goggles4u glasses (that come from either Pakistan or Thailand) arrived before my Direct Sight ones did.

I was advised there was a problem with the left lens’s on the weds. I asked for them to automatically cancel the order of it wasn’t posted on Thursday, for arrival on the Friday. I was also told they would refund my express delivery charge. A week later, that still hasn’t arrived.

The glasses were posted on Friday, DPD had a problem so they were delivered on the Sunday not the Saturday.

The box arrived damaged, the glasses snapped across the nose. The glasses didn’t come in a case or any protection whilst in transit, just a box, a plastic bag and that’s it.

Sent a picture, and given the poor service and quality given, can I just have a refund?

Now they want to ‘investigate’

I’d rather just lose the money and never use them again.

Also, if you look at the top of this page, trust pilot advise that Direct Sight have been inappropriately using trust pilots rating system.

Don’t waste your money. Specsavers will be cheaper and faster.

Goggles4u were cheaper, came with a case and a cloth and arrived quicker, despite coming from abroad.

In closing, use goggles4u, you’ll get a better product, for less money with more care taken with packaging.
