This Widex pair of hearing aids are a musician friends
This Widex pair of hearing aids are fantastic! I play piano in a band and needed hearing aids that didn’t distort when rehearsing and playing out. These do the job!
Poor effort on getting a hearing aid repair!
I started the process of sending in a hearing aid for repair in December 2025. Now in mid-March 2026, I still don't have it back. I was told it was lost and they would be sending a new one but this has been going on for 3 weeks. Direct Hearing doesn't appear to follow up on their process.

I was able to save several hundred dollars by purchasing from Direct Hearing. Sent them my hearing test, that I had done locally and they programmed them. I had a local Audiologlist adjust them, as their over the phone Audiologist
wasn't much help.

I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. Nathan was very patient when I was not prepared for our call. He did a great job of walking me through what I needed to do.

I have been completely disappointed with directhearing.com. The customer service has been extremely poor.
1) From the hearing aid shipment being delayed by at least three weeks (they later claimed the problem was that i didn't send my hearing exam - I later showed email proof it was sent the same day I paid),
2) canceling initial adjustment appointments, and no follow up,
3) refusing to honor the hearing aid return due to the time delay that was their fault,
4) sending a hearing aid product that needed a new receiver,
5) not sending enough tips to determine what I needed to buy going forward (nor labeling the ones sent), and
6) not being up front about the type of hearing loss I have before purchase that I may need a molded ear piece if the aids don't work as designed.
As other reviews, I feel like this company may be run by a couple guys or gals working out of their basement who haven't gotten their customer service figured out. They are constantly calling and reaching out to you to buy the product, and then after you purchase, they scatter. The concept is great and others may be happy, but my experience has been terrible. My biggest worry is that they won't stand behind a future problem based on my experience.

Don’t get ripped off by your audiologist. Save thousands on top of the line hearing aids. I got the phonak I90 for under $4K where my doc wanted over $6K. Easy on line purchase with telephone counseling on setting them up

After a number of emails and a phone call I did finally receive my hearing aids and am wearing them, but it looks like it may take another email or call to get any follow up.
Easy to Work With!
Easy to talk to and do business with. I ordered a pair of Widex Allure 440 devices and had them in my ears less than a week later. Will definitely buy my next pair from them and will recommend them to everyone.

Have been patiently waiting for my hearing aid which was paid for almost 3-months ago to arrive. Emails and voicemails no longer are being answered. Do not use this company. I’m filing a claim with my credit card to get my $1,700 back

Service was good with exception that left ear mold does not stay fully seated
Poor communication, out of stock on many items.
When I ordered them I specifically requested the largest domes available for one side due to previous ear surgeries that left my Dad with a large ear canal. I was told that was no problem and they'd arrive with the hearing aids. Well, they did not. I immediately called, waited on hold for service, told them the problem and asked them to ship large domes, especially the power dome, as fast as possible. No problem they said, even sent it two day shipping. Guess what, no power domes in the box. Called again, waited on hold, left a message, called again hours later. Told them the problem. They said, oh, those are our of stock. I said why didn't someone tell me that 2 weeks ago? It was suggested I go buy my own on eBay or Amazon, so that is what I did. So much for a "lifetime supply" of domes. Had to spend $20 right away on some Chinese knock offs on Amazon to get the right fit. Also asked what length wire they send new Vivia 9s with and was told they don't know, it depends on what they have on hand at the time. Had to ask my 80 year old Dad to pull off the dome and get his magnifying glass out to see what size he had. Once I knew he had the shortest size I requested the longest size as his were pretty tight. Once again, out of stock on the long ones. Mid length was sent and they'd send the long ones once back in stock. Was told today the long wires are being shipped and will have them in a week. I'm hoping that after almost 4 weeks of having them my Dad will finally get the right fit so he can actually evaluate if he wants to keep them or not. The 45 day trial period goes by fast when they are conveniently out of stock on everything you need to make the determination.
