They are scammers and their claim is handled by third party who would make every possible way to not pay. Select some reputed company please avoid them. I gave then CCTV for car stolen but still they refuse to pay without valid reason.

I’ve used Direct Gap for years, on various new perches cars, it’s so easy to use online and very helpful if you need to contact them directly. I would strongly recommend them rather then using a main dealer.

Helpful, pleasant English lady who knew her stuff and could explain to me what I did not understand. Happy to arrange over the phone which I prefer, followed by email. Easy process, recommended by friends and now me.

Gap insurance is good however I have changed the car on the policy which has resulted in me taking out a brand new policy and having to pay again, so i have lost 2 years worth of my previous policy which I paid for

Oh my! Just spoke to a lovely lady called "Tracy W" 22 June 2026.

I was a bit worried that I had made a mistake when taking out Gap Insurance for my new car. I just wanted to clarify that I had done it correctly and the figures etc were correct.

I went on to tell Tracy about the bad customer service experience I received when purchasing my new Dacia from a dealership in Tamworth, Staffordshire. She listened and didnt judge me and was fully on board with my concerns. What an extremely helpful and lovely lady.

Tracy obviously listens well because I mentioned private number plates and she guided me through the process of what to do with the retention certificate and new logbook when it arrives. This is something the dealership should have done when I purchased the car. I just felt the whole experience at Dacia was not geared to looking after customers in the way I would have expected. But Tracy soon put me right.

A great big thankyou to Tracy and Direct Gap. Not only the cheapest for my insurance but you have the best customer service agent that I have come across in such a long time. I am now very much a happy bunny. :)
