Great restaurant and really enjoy the breakfast whichis available all day. Staff really helpful and hard working young people.. where do they find them?!
Some silly prices in the shop and lots of pretentious customers, but that's understandable given the Tesla charging points in the car park.

Placed an order in the region of £300 at Xmas 2023. Part of the order was 3 packets of their "world's best" smoked salmon. Now, last year I also ordered some of this salmon, but they sent trout instead. This year, despite a 'tick' on the attached receipt, they sent three tiny pots of smoked salmon pâté, which I did not want and do not like. After two emails enquiring about this, I am yet to receive a response 3 weeks later. Surely it's possible to keep track of pre-orders and hold back stock accordingly.

Also included in my order was a pound (1lb, i.e. 16 ounces) of sausage meat. After weighing out 8 oz, which was what I needed for my recipe, I looked at the remainder and thought it looked smaller than the portion I had weighed out. Lo and behold, after weighing the whole lot it came to 14.75 oz, a full 7.8% less than expected. That is more than a rounding error.

It would appear, judging from other reviews, that hubris has affected this business. It's a shame, but hopefully things can turn around, as Dart's are generally very good in my experience.

Darts has become very 'corporate' over time and no longer feels like a real farm shop. Smaller local producers are being squeezed out and the variety of goods available is suffering as a result. The prices have always been on the high side but are now astronomical, even when compared to other 'farm' shops.

Today ate at Darts Restaurant then picked up a whole Mud Pie to bring home. The price direct from Last Course Patisserie for a whole Mud Pie, or White Chocolate Mud Pie, as of 18-08-2023 is £25.50. Evidence available, if you Google; Last Course Patisserie.
Today we bought 2 pieces which amounted to one whole Mud Pie. We were charged £45 by Jenny on the deli. Who said the prices from the supplier have gone up. It's possible the prices have gone up, but Last Course Patisserie haven't updated their website. However, as of today, we've been charged £45 for a £25.50 cost Mud Pie (on the evidence from the website). That's a petty unfair profit for Darts to make, on us (especially as regular customers). I'm disappointed in Jenny, who previously handed me the wrong cheesecake for my Mum's birthday (wasn't her fault directly, another person forgot to make the order!). Nonetheless, to smooth the situation, I bought Jenny a piece of her favourite dessert. Despite, it being their fault. Surely that's deserving of human decency in return. Today, my Dad was angry, whereas I just walked away.......just disappointed in your empathy, Jenny. It's not a nice way to treat someone who's shown you decency and understanding.

I have 4 chronic illnesses, these desserts are compulsory to live on daily, for calories, not occasional treats. It's something that surely doesn't need to be an additional stress.

Still 3 stars. Can't stop me loving you :-)

I ordered a hamper as a birthday gift for a friend. When it arrived the gift label inside was to someone completely different and the cheese was missing. As the hamper including delivery charge was £42 I am very disappointed with this sub standard service. I will not be ordering hampers from Darts Farm again and I would not recommend them to anyone else.

What a lovely farm shop and how pleasant the younger staff are particularly on a Saturday afternoon, a real credit to Darts Farm.

We have been coming to Darts for years and have loved it but this year very disappointed .went for lunch in the restaurant we had the steak poor steak not a lot of veg and overpriced for what it was .on our return journey ,we decided to just have the breakfast again poor quality of bacon wasn’t up to scratch could have been eating anything not a top quality bacon . We shall certainly think twice about coming back next year .even the coffee shop is queuing out the door people don’t want to have to wait ages for a coffee . The thrill of stopping at Darts has gone.

Horrible place! Staff on the shop floor unprofessionally bickering and young girls on the shop floor talking about sleeping with other staff members while customers are all around!!! To make it worse the brunette girl didn’t look any older than 17/18/19. Served by the same girl on the tills who was miserable a simple hello was not even given when going to pay. Everything in the shop is overpriced to say the least. The staff are paid minimum wage according to a blonde young girl on the shop floor even the chefs are paid minimum wage. I was horrified to over hear two staff members stating their animals on site have had no food no water no bedding for over 2 days! The whole experience wasn’t pleasant and to top it all off the food I purchased from the shop was out of date!

Ordered 3 salmon leek and potato brunch dish very small and had no salmon, just a very small dry omelet, very disappointed

Amazing place with lots of high quality products that are advertised country wide on their own websites. What you get here is a collection of high quality products from different resellers without paying for the individual delivery costs.

A member of my family received the gift of a hamper a couple of months ago for services given to a charity. Chose not to leave a review at the time as we did not want the giver to think we were ungrateful.
The Georgie Porgie pudding was already ten days out of date. The locally ground coffee from Exe Coffee Roasters had been roasted several months ago, so not as fresh as you would expect from a local supplier who roast the beans weekly and a bottle of Pebblebed white wine which was harvested in 2018, FIVE years old. This was not a ‘reserve’ wine for keeping, a bottle which should be drunk within two years approx.
I think Darts Farm must have been clearing out what did not sell as easily over the Christmas period.
Certainly would not think of giving a hamper from us to family or friends.
The items are hand picked and therefore the dates on the goods should be checked. Very disappointing!

We visited Darts Farm restaurant approx 6 weeks ago as a couple and ordered breakfast mid morning with drinks. We waited and waited after placing our order and then noticed people who came in after us had their meals. So we asked a waitress where ours was and apparently our order hadn’t gone through to the kitchen. We then had our drinks brought to us and waited again for our meal. We decided to leave just as the food came out, having waited in total 35 mins. We explained and decided we didn’t want our meal now and the waitress took off the drinks and apologised for the mix up. We decided to give them another chance today, and took our Grandson for lunch. Big mistake. Our Grandsons meal of mashed potatoes, children sausage and beans with toast was sent out first with chips and sausage, so returned, then the piece of toast came out, then our meals came out, then eventually his one sausage big enough for an adult and mash came out. We had to ask again for the baked beans. !!!. My husbands breakfast wasn’t brilliant and he appeared to have the two small sausages which were returned from our Grandsons first attempt at his meal. My egg mayonnaise sandwich was dry and the crust almost stale. The salad hardly existed , half a small tomatoe, bits of string which I think was lettuce and the smallest cubes of cucumber.
Needless to say again it was a disgrace. We told the waitress who asked if we wanted to see the Manager. There was no point, it cost us £32.00 for three poor quality meals. We also noticed someone else send their meal back too. Needless to say we will not be returning to this over stated place again. So disappointing.

Very expensive produce and lacking in attention to sell by dates on some products, beware.

Very disappointed with my 'gourmet' chicken sandwich. Bread hacked off in various sizes, no butter or any other spread on it. Couple of pieces of wet lettuce, small piece of tomato, small piece of chicken. About the most unloved and unappetizing sandwich I've ever had. Absolutely not worth the title (gourmet) or the price.

Very poor and deeply saddened by staff attitude. Having a child with coeliac, and visiting a county show. I was delighted to see a place selling straight steak Burger. Being use to carrying rolls, we asked if they could cook her a steak. They also told us they had gluten-free buns. This was agreed and a family order was placed. We stressed that crossed contamination was a something that had to be taken into consideration. To which they then decided was too much risk😏. It would of taken just an extra second a little more time to be considerate. It would of made the world of difference to a child who already feels excluded. We were offered a refund for her steak, slightly shocked when we requested a full refund for the whole family. (Who would eat, when there child can’t). We found Exmoor catering just around the corner, who couldn’t of been more helpful. Equally as busy. Shame on you Darts farm!!

Fish and chips absolutely delicious as good as rick steins in Padstow .the cooks work hard and good as a team . disappointed the seating area has gone.but never disappointed with the food.it would nice to have the kids area back.

The place is like a piece of magic. Amazing products, good value and awesome customer service!! Beautiful hampers, presents and etc, you can find everything you need there really.

The order was delivered on time and well packed.
The middle cut bacon weighed in at 40% fat, I estimate the sirloin joint was in excess of that. Lamb shoulder is a fatty joint but this one had more than average. The sausage casings looked suspiciously plastic but were at least fairly easy to remove before cooking.
The good news, - the chicken breasts were OK.

High quality hampers and food selections delivered rapidly to the recipient. The hamper contents are good quality, though a little bit expensive and could be more recyclable .
