The +'s: Boxes arrive with everything you need to build the project and are for the most part easy to follow.

The -'s: Communication from them is extremely slow. All of the videos on their website weren't accessible and when I sent an email through their website, I didn't not receive a response for days. When I re-emailed them indicating this, I was given the message that they're working on it. When my daughter had completed her first kit, we had issues with the programming aspect of the kit. I again emailed through their website and again days went by without a response. Finally, I received a response from them asking for a follow up on the help I received. When I explained that I hadn't received any help, I received an email from them telling me they couldn't help because they had never experienced that problem. No trouble-shooting, no follow-up, nothing. After all the hard work my daughter put into programming, to have no support was very disappointing.

The price: The charges for the box are in USD, which I find a bit odd, considering they are a Canadian company. Boxes cost over $50 (shipping included) if you're a Canadian. For what's included in the box (about $10-15 of components), the price just wasn't worth it and we cancelled after the third box.

Overall Experience: I wouldn't use this company again. If you're interested in programming using arduino (which is what this company offers), there are plenty of online tutorials and all of the components can be picked up at your local electronics shop for way less than what you'd spend on the box. I was disappointed with their lack of communication and support when issues did arise. I have two boxes sitting unopened in my home because after the first experience with the programming issue, my daughter has lost interest. A great idea, but the cost and execution from Creation Crate really fell flat.

This is a fantastic subscription box service for STEM education. Highly recommended!

We could not get our first creation crate working. We followed all of the instructions correctly but it didn't work. We were not able to contact anyone for help. I contacted them by e-mail and did not get a response for over a week. The very complicated instructions that were given to fix the problem did not work. My second e-mail also took over a week to get a response and the problem is still not fixed. I cancelled my subscription. A huge waste of money and time both for the child and two adults. Creation Crate needs to provide some form of customer service and and stand behind their products. Very disappointed.

J'ai pris cette box pour apprendre la programmation à ma fille de 10 ans et elle adore ! Vraiment je recommande, c'est génial et bien expliqué pas à pas avec non seulement les instructions mais aussi des explications sur pourquoi on fait comme ça.

The product is wonderful. My grandson is excited to get his subscription and has used each one. But there's no way to contact the company except by email which is a huge drawback for me. It takes several emails back and forth to get accomplished what could have been taken care of in one 5-minute phone call.

Good quality and very educational, but a little lacking in support. We struggle when there is something wrong that we can’t figure out there are no support or answers in place.

Ordering process was easy, and the gift recipient is very pleased with the first parcel. Only thing I am a bit uncomfortable about is having to sign up for a future direct debit when I paid upfront for a specified number of parcels .

Our 1st kit came with the wrong resisterr and required tech support back and forth.My sone was very discouraged. It really lacked expanations for programing the desired functions. After 6 kits (we were at first determined to make them work) and the last 2 left unopened, I cancelled our subscription.

Creation crate if fun and educational.

I have had nothing but bad experience with your company. One gift subscription never shipped and one never delivered to the address and I still had to pay for it. Customer service was sub par at best. Hate this site. Tell everyone I know not to use it. Worst ever.

The kit was missing parts. I had to manage to connect the power with the wrong connectors... I thought I bought 3 projects in one but it was actually a single project with different delays or timings.

Very heavy on the coding and no explanation about the circuit or it’s parts. Also very disappointed that even though it’s a Canadian company we get charged in US funds.

The shipment was package well and received on time without any damage. The instructions were simple to follow and the end result worked first time.

I purchased a 1 years subscription as a Christmas gift for my daughter.
We have completed 2 of the 7 delivered kits. The first kit went together with some minor difficulties in assembly. The first project worked, the second one does not. Some of the components could be of better quality. Connecting & component leads are often too flimsy to plug into the breadboards. Directions are too small to read accurately. The overall concept is good and the time being spent with my child is priceless.

Very well done, highly recommended. They do a really good job of letting you learn at a decent pace. The first kit, they give you all the code and all the instructions to set up the activity. But, as you progress, they give you less and less. I.e. you have to think your way through it, based on what you learnt in previous kits. The answers are available if you need them, but they do a great job and you should be fine!

The first kit crashed our computer time and again. When I emailed customer support multiple times, I never received any response. There is no phone number available.The crates keep coming, and we want to cancel the program. The box is just sit near the trash

High quality items in both of the two first boxes. Only problem I have is that the shipping is standard and extremely slow. Should be 2-3 day shipping for the cost of the boxes.

No "rude conduct", just a poor product. The website did the usual hatchet job on traditional education. (Teachers have to teach ALL students, not just the bright, motivated ones, guys!) When our kit arrived, it was a matter of put this wire here, and that wire there. There! Now you know electronics! Well, no, I don't; I know how to follow directions, nothing more. There was no explanation as to how or why anything worked. I guess that would be too boring and traditional for the cool kids at Creation Crate.

I really wanted to like this. It's a great idea, but very poorly executed. Won't be back.
