The wait time is long...every time. Terrible customer service and the recording will drive you crazy.

I had already purchased the flea and tick meds for my dog. They can't take it back because it is a prescription. I waited for 23 minutes (this time)

The absolute worst

The absolute worst. Tried autoship for 6 months. 3 of those months I never received the meds. Customer service does not reply to emails and when you get one of the reps on the phone its nothing but BS and lies.

Fraudulent company

Fraudulent company, I was overcharged. I had a 30% off coupon code that was not applied to the final order after they canceled part of my order.

On hold for half an hour!! Totally inexcusable.
Told the customer service rep that I was unhappy and I was told they were working on it. It's been this way for months.

Surprise - yet another horrible company!

Surprise, surprise. Another 1 star review, though it is really negative stars. Covetrus is the most infuriating company. I had an Auto-Ship prescription for my dog through my old vet, but tried to cancel four times after I moved far away. Yet each month, I get a notification that the auto-ship order has been placed. And then my old vet cancels it because they haven't seen my dog in a year and a half! I have called many times and no one answers. I sat on the line for 52 minutes once before a guy answered, sounding absolutely bewildered before I even described my problem. When I did, he had no clue what I was talking about. Very crappy company. Very few have good customer service anymore.

Unreliable

Covetrus is unreliable, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I went to management regarding errors made on there end and was promised it would be taken care of that is false. You would think management would be respectful and empathetic? That is not the case they are very disrespectful! I will never use Covetrus again.I would recommend COSTCO.

This company is horrible

This company is horrible. I really think no one truly works there. No matter when you call you can never get through and talk to someone. Instead, they push you to use their online communication and email - I received a response two weeks after multiple attempts to speak with someone.

My vet uses them as their source for food, supplies etc - I think the only way to impact them is to convince the veterinary providers to switch to another supplier. This company does not value individual customers at all!

They claim no fees and then charged $15 in fees.

They say on their website that there are no fees to use their autoship. They charged a $15 "handling" fee and a separate "fulfillment" fee.

If you sign up for autoship, you won't know about the fees until they've billed your card and email you a receipt.

They also charged me the wrong price for the meds - instead of billing me the discounted autoship price, I got the regular price, a difference of $9. For meds that should have cost $80, they charged me almost $120.

UPDATE: I reached out to Covetrus regarding the overcharging. Never got a response. My order finally arrived, and I counted the pills and was shorted 2 tablets. Paid for 90 and got 88. Overcharged and shorted in my dog's meds. Avoid this scammy company at all costs.

The worst pharmacy

The worst pharmacy , never order from them.I placed the order 13 days ago and still never got it , my dog has been out of her blood pressure medication for couple days which is frustrating, it’s impossible to get hold of them I was on a phone with 30 min and no one never answered!

Ordered a medication on auto ship for…

Ordered a medication on auto ship for every 4 weeks through my vet pharmacy. The medication started coming every 2 weeks and charging my bank account. I checked my account which still had the frequency as 4 weeks. In November 2023 I cancelled the order altogether. It continued to come and they continued to charge me. I then removed my bank account information. They still continued to send the med and charge my bank account somehow. I made several attempts to call and was on hold over an hour each time and eventually disconnected. I emailed them with my complaint and told them that I was not authorizing them to charge my account. Two days later I received another shipment and was charged again! Received an email yesterday saying they were forwarding my complaint to their QA department and someone would contact me. Nothing yet. How are they able to charge my account still when I have removed all of my bank account info? Sounds criminal to me.

My first and last order from Covetrus

This is my first and last purchase from Covetrus. They are horrible! I had to call 3 times about a confusing issue regarding the number of items in a box of meds - I got 2 different answers. An agent helped me cancel the incorrect order and place a new order. I later got a email that both orders had shipped - the new order and the cancelled order. Each time I tried to speak to a person had to hold for over 30 min. Oh - and the online chat doesn't work. It says all agents are busy and directs you back to the phone number. The final straw was when I was on hold for over 30 minutes - I opened the call by saying "This is my 3rd call to try and resolve this issue and I've been on hold for over 30 minutes" The person who answered the call pretended she couldn't hear me and hung up!! I WILL NEVER, EVER order from Covetrus and I will let my veterinarian know that from now on I will place my orders through Valley Vet. It's cheaper and less hassle. Seriously - don't order from them!!

Update - I got an agent named Danica on the phone. She was great - very professional and understanding. I still won't use Covetrus because of how difficult it has been to make the simplest of corrections to my order. That being said - I'm very grateful that Danica has taken ownership of my case and is working to make corrections.

Second Update - I just received my order. I'm very happy with the quick shipping. Susan from Covetrus is sending a return label to send back the order that was never cancelled. So, aside from excessively long wait times, no online chat agents, and dropped calls, I received my meds in a very short time. When I finally did speak to an agent, they were friendly and professional. On my last call I was given the option to receive a call back and not wait on hold. (I don't know why I wasn't given that option on every call)

Overall, dealing with Covetrus has been frustrating, but ultimately I found friendly agents to help find solutions. I'm upgrading my review to 3 stars. Thanks Danica and Susan!

I needed a prescription refill

I called to refill a prescription of a compound med for my cat. After 25 min before anyone answered, I was told that they could not refill the med because the pen used for application was now a "click" dispenser, not the "rotatation" dispenser. The medication had not changed, just the way it was to be administered,
A new Rx was needed to be written by the vet. This was done while on the phone with Convetrus while I was standing in the vet office. I told them the med was needed ASAP. When I called 10 days to check the status, I was told the order was never filled. They said it would be filled and arrive within a week. Still no refill. Another call, a later arrival date and still no refill. There is no way to contact Convetrus or their pharmacy by phone or online in the evening or on the weekend. My cat has now gone 3 weeks without anti-anxiety meds because of their inability to do their job in a timely matter. I would not recommend their services to anyone!

First time order

First time order. LAST time order! OMG. After I order online on a Tuesday, I get a email message Friday after business hours that they are out of stock. And the wording pretty much says the drug "may" be in the following week. Then add another 3-5 days for the order so were looking at two weeks. BUT I ordered TWO drugs for my dog. So one is out of stock. Do they send the other drug that is not out of stock? NOPE! Lucky for me the vet office was open Saturday. She got me a prescription at Wallgreen's. So I pick that up. I call on Monday to cancel the order for the one drug since its out of stock. Not once do they tell me they are cancelling the second drug that supposably was in stock but who knows. Here is the bigger issue. This is a First time prescription for my 8.5 yr old Great Dane with a heart problem. Dan's only live 7-9 yrs. Gee lets just wait on the medicine for 2 weeks or so and not give a Sh**. Find out from your VET if the drug for your dog is also something used for humans. If so you can go to a regular pharmacy and NOT have to do business with a place like this. This business is ridiculous! This place should be shut down.

One out of three isn't good enough

My dog needs several things - an anti-inflammatory, a SAM-e supplement, and prescription dog food. I ordered the anti-inflammatory first. It was three days before they even registered the order. Eleven days later, it finally arrived, after a 3-day layover for UPS to hand off the package to USPS. Why? No explanation.

Ordered the dog food and the SAM-e supplement about a week later. The food and supplement arrived at the same time as the anti-inflammatory, which was OK. Problem was, the dog food box wasn't taped closed; it arrived wide open. It's only blind luck that the bag arrived undamaged. No problems with the SAM-e supplement.

These things define expensive; that it's obvious that no care is taken with their shipments has me looking for somewhere else to get these. Sorry, vet, I want you to get something out of this, but not at this cost.

I'd give zero stars if I could

I'd give zero stars if I could. I ordered my cat's food two weeks ago now and the website states 3-5 day turnaround which is clearly a lie. My cat has been without his prescription food for weeks now. I called and waiting on hold for 45+ mins to still not get ahold of anyone and tried the live chat feature and was basically told to go pound sand by the bot. I'm infuriated because they have $150 of my money and my cat is without his food per his skin condition. I can't even get ahold of anyone to cancel my order. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

It's been over a week since I ordered a…

It's been over a week since I ordered a prescription and so far it has not arrived. It took them 3-days to even process the prescription and so far it seems to be stuck in shipping. The tracking number says that a delivery date will be sent when their "shipping partner" picks up the order. I can't be waiting for 1+weeks to start my cats meds, she has ringworm so I resorted to getting some OTC ringworm ointment. So much for 3-5 day delivery.

Sends drugs that expire soon

This company is so incompetent they send you drugs that expire before you can use them. Ex, if you order a 6 month supply of something they send you a box that expires in 2 months but charge you for the full amount of course.

Take an extra strength aleve before dealing with them

They are a company sent from hell to destroy your last shred of patience. God forbid there's an issue with your order, you're not receiving it any time soon and their "shipping days" are off by at least 10 BUSINESS days. They collect money from you, do not care about you or your dog, pretty much a $h*t in one hand and wish in the other type scenario with them. The least helpful organization I actually feel bad for their employees because the ONE time I got through to them, the poor girl was struggling to help me but her "manager" was limiting her on options and I could hear the stress in her voice. Their online assistance is just as poorly assembled as the rest of the company
