Extremely disappointed
Extremely disappointed. Ongoing billing without service being provided.
Ranking tanked after being with them the 1st month then they dissapeared for help...
I am documenting this publicly because repeated private attempts to resolve it have gone nowhere.
After onboarding, communication dropped off completely. My assigned account manager left the company without notice. No replacement was assigned. No proactive outreach occurred. I had to initiate contact myself just to find out what happened.
More importantly, the service itself is not being delivered:
The company does not have access to my website.
The company does not have access to my Google Business Profile.
No one has requested access or performed work.
No updates, optimizations, reporting, or strategy discussions have taken place.
Despite this, billing continues.
When I requested cancellation due to lack of service, the only response was a generic reference to the contract. That response ignores the core issue: a contract requires performance on both sides. Billing without providing the service is not honoring the agreement.
During this period of inactivity and absence of management, my rankings declined.
I am asking for a clean separation and an end to billing. If this is resolved promptly, I am happy to update or remove this review to reflect the outcome.
If not, I will continue to document the experience accurately for others to see.
Please explain how Hibu can lawfully bill for services that cannot be performed because Hibu does not have access to the accounts required to deliver them. They do not have access to my website.
They do not have access to my Google Business Profile.
No campaign work, optimizations, reporting, or management can occur without that access.
My assigned rep left. No continuity. No replacement managing delivery.
That is a material failure to perform.Hibu keeps referencing the contract, but the contract presumes service delivery. At this point, Hibu does not have access to my website, my Google Business Profile, or my accounts, and has not been performing the services outlined in the agreement.
Billing without the ability or intent to deliver the contracted services constitutes a failure to perform and a material breach. Continuing to invoice under these circumstances is not enforceable, regardless of contract term length.
I am requesting immediate termination with no further billing and written confirmation that my accounts and listings are released. If this is not resolved, I will proceed with formal disputes and public documentation of the failure to provide services.
Proceed accordingly.
Would not cancel my subscription and kept billing me for a year.
I'm very frustrated because I tried to cancel a year ago because I was not getting any new business from the Website that they created for my Etsy business, but they play tricks with you and never actually cancel your subscription. I thought it was cancelled until my ex-partner said he was still getting billed all these months but thought he was paying for something else. The Website primarily attracts solicitors trying to sell me their services. It has been a total waste of money and time. $603 per month is a total ripoff !!!
Hibu won't compromise and refund back some of the months to me.

I have been a customer for years and never had an issue of Customer Service and responding to any problem I had. My rep Patrick Hebert was always helpful and wanted me to get the most of what Hibu offered. He was attentive and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again

It has been a pleasure working with Kimberly and Hibu. They were very helpful in setting up my website. Listened to every detail I wanted and needed and made sure it was exactly the way I wanted before it went live. Kimberly is very responsive and makes you feel important and like you are her only client. I would definitely recommend Kimberly and Hibu for all your digital marketing needs!

HIBU in my opinion was completely incompetent. I paid them $15,000 for SEO services and got 2 calls that might be considered legitimate and around 400 SPAM calls that were a waste of time and money. SPAM calls were computer generated and nobody was on the line when we answered the call and when I called the number back it was a disconnected number or a recording saying it was a nonworking number.

Has helped us acquire lots of reviews from long time customers. The dashboard is easier to use than other services we've used in the past. The website they built looks nice, the process wasn't super intuitive for us but it worked out in the end. Our rep, Jeremy, is very helpful and has useful information and useful guidance.

Working with Aubrey Anderson, our new digital marketing account executive from Hibu, has been one of the best business decisions we’ve made. My business partner and I weren’t actively looking for marketing help when she walked into our office—but we’re sure glad she did.

Total Waste
Was sold on a package that was slightly higher than I was prepared to pay, but I trusted (mistakenly) the sales rep, we’ll call him “Jam E.”, because he was referred to me by someone I know. Signed up for 6 months (their minimum). Website was designed and marketing campaign launched. Nearly 5 months and I get only 1 lead!! The only “input” I got from my sales rep was “spend more money”, I said “why would I do that when you’re not performing”. They “allowed” me to terminate my plan early and removed the website that I paid for! So, now, after 5 months, I’m left with literally NOTHING but losses nearing $7k and not including my time! The worst experience I have EVER had! Paying more money does not showcase any skill, or ability. I can throw money at anything and make it work better. I signed up with the budget they proposed and they produced absolutely no result and did not do any work unless I asked them to. TERRIBLE experience. Save your money. These people are con artists and do not have the skills necessary to do a good job with your money. You’re better off flushing it down the toilet if it’s not that important to you.

Warning! Check the reviews. The same thing that went wrong with numerous others happened to us as well. A waste of your money and when you try to cancel the contract they keep charging you.
Worth every penny
I was skeptical to hire a firm to take care of my online presence after a failed attempt with another firm. But thankfully Amber sold me on all the analytics and convinced me to make the jump. Since signing on I've been incredibly impressed at how Hibu has pushed my company to the forefront on the internet. Anytime I talk to fellow business owners I make a point to discuss Hibu and how it has transformed my company. If you're on the fence about this, call Amber so she can show you the numbers- it's an easy win

HIBU can’t tell the truth!!
I have been trying to get my company back from these inept and incompetent marketers for months. Finally cs.whatever said if I pay for February (the last month of my contract with this useless marketer) I could have my company back immediately. Guess what it’s been 5 days and nothing has happened. These people will do whatever it takes to get your money and then screw you as hard as possible. RUN! RUN!!

I gave Hibu a second chance after some major issues getting PCP campaign started. Hibu could not get Google to approve any ads, they blamed the website designer, website desinger blamed Hibu. Had a great sales rep so gave it a go a year later on an SEO campaign. Failed again. Rep left company and no notice was given to me, no new rep was assigned. So my emails for updates went to no one.. Finally a new rep was assigned, not even the one they said was taking over. All the promises make by my previous rep were unknown. So I cancelled on the date Hibu told me verbally to cancel on. Well sir you missed your cancellation date so we are billing you month 7 on a 6 month contract. This company is a complete joke. Do yourself a favor and just look elsewhere. Better, less expensive options are out there.
After posting this review a Hibu rep called me and asked if they could remedy the situation. I asked the rep straight out if she had the power to cancel my bill or refund me money, answer "no". She wanted me to send her my emails with my previous rep, he used the company email.. So you want me to do extra work that is of no benefit to me, so you can see where the rep you let go messed up... Unbelievable

Would have given zero stars if that was an option. Terrible service, no leads and they just take the funds each month. Can't wait for my 6-months to terminate with them so I can get rid of them. DO NOT USE!!

Spoke with Hibu's customer experience department. They hid behind the boilerplate agreement about they are generating "impressions" and "clicks", which anyone knows means nothing, and they said that they aren't in the business of producing leads.
My suggestion (unless your my competition) is to hang up, delete cold-call emails from Hibu unless you want them to simply steal your money (they stole over 12K from me over the 6-months I was locked in with them). And they had the gall to ask me to remove my initial post.

Wonderful Results
I started using Hibu July 2023. My goal was to boost my SEO ranking. It exceeded my expectations. Since working with my account manager, Susanna Kelland, things have only gotten better with Bella Grace Home Spa.
She actively and consistently stays on top of my key words and sends me reports so we can make adjustments. Just in the last 2 months, my ranking for Cryo treatments has gone up a lot and we’re now on the front page and continue to climb! No other company has ever invested this much into me or my business! Very much worth it!!
