We had a successful DST meeting and…
We had a successful DST meeting and with Amin's help have been able to secure funding for my Father-in Law. The initial contact with Compass was to see if we could be funded for his 1 to 1 care and we had no idea this Funding was available for all the Care fees. The whole process was straight forward and I would highly recommend people using this company to navigate CHC Funding.

Checklist Assessment
I had a good discussion with CHC prior to the assessment meeting so I was fully briefed. I found that CHC had done all the research prior to the assessment meeting and had been very thorough. During the meeting they discussed their rationale as to why they had chosen a certain letter compared to the Nurse. This at times was a lengthy discussion and CHC had all the documentation to back up what they were saying.

Compass have been excellent throughout…
Compass have been excellent throughout and helped the family to navigate the complex process of making a NHS CHC application. Beyond the initial stage of information gathering from the various parties and initial report writing we also secured Compasses advocacy service in the form of Madison who has been first class. Fantastic service
The process of assessment for CHC funding I found really challenging on my own, so I searched some support. My husband sent me a link for Compass, and they have been brilliant! Every member of staff I had contact with was professional, and well informed. I never felt that I had to explain the situation to each person which was very refreshing. They never promised a positive outcome, they simply collected and collated all the evidence required to produce the best case. They weren’t pushy either, they allowed me time to make a decision but also kept in touch. Unfortunately, we did have to take our appeal all the way to NHS England but Compass supported me throughout this, and the outcome was the best we could’ve hoped for. They made a difficult process manageable and that’s down to the thorough hard work of their team. Overall a positive experience (regardless of the outcome). I can’t thank them enough, and I would definitely recommend them!!

Excellent Support and Outstanding Advocacy
After my mum suffered a severe stroke and developed vascular dementia, I contacted Compass CHC for advice on NHS Continuing Healthcare funding. Their guidance and documentation were invaluable throughout the process.
Although my mum was initially declined funding, Compass identified issues with the decision and supported me through a lengthy appeal. During a very difficult time, they took away much of the stress by gathering and presenting the evidence professionally and objectively.
A special thank you to my advocate, Madison Turner, who was exceptional throughout. Her support, knowledge, and compassion helped us secure a successful appeal outcome.

I am so pleased I asked Compass CHC to help with my wife's initial assessment meeting. She was awarded NHS funding as a result of the meeting so it couldn't have gone better. Having Noah supporting me at the meeting was massive - I was very apprehensive beforehand and his timely and knowledgeable interventions during the meeting were well made and to the point. It was my impression that having Compass to support my wife's application, with Noah's knowledge and understanding of the rules and procedures, gave our application greater impact (though this may be unfair to the assessors who were vary helpful and understanding). I plan to ask Compass to support me at the review meetings when they come along. Thank you so much, Compass, for all your help and support.

Evidence good, checklist etc Absolutely not
They did a very good job of putting the evidence together but then the followup process was absolutely useless. 8 months and they still hadn't got passed the checklist stage and mom died. I can not recommend this company because although they promised to get the checklist actioned and chased they only seemed to go through the motions and pay lip service with no real effort made on their behalf. Go somewhere else

Your mother's case remained important to us throughout, and our team continued to actively engage with the NHS, seek updates, and pursue progression through the Continuing Healthcare process on your behalf.
We recognise that much of this work takes place behind the scenes and is not always visible to families who are understandably waiting for progress and answers. Whilst this does not lessen the frustration of delays, it may explain why the level of activity being undertaken was not always apparent.
We fully appreciate how difficult and upsetting prolonged delays can be, particularly when families are already navigating challenging and emotional circumstances. Although we remained engaged and continued to follow matters up on your behalf, progression ultimately depended on actions being taken within the wider NHS pathway, which was outside of our direct control.
We are sorry that your experience left you feeling that more could have been done and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns further. We remain keen to speak with you so that we can better understand your experience and any lessons we can take from it.

A huge relief
Compass takes the time to find out what the issues are. They related them to the law, and use the type of language and critera that accessors use - something which most families do not (us included) . All information sent is acknowleged and acted on. Our own case is ongoing, but has been made so much more positive thanks to Compass.

I emailed 3 times asking for fees as I didn't want to give my phone number.
Reply was: "As a guide, our investigation and reporting service for full CHC eligibility is £6,995. However, we also assist with advocacy at assessments, appeals, retrospective claims, and a range of other services, all of which are priced differently."
This is FREE from your GP. This company is ripping off vulnerable people and their relatives.
They challenged my review here, only because it's true.

I cannot speak more highly of the service
I cannot speak more highly of the service I have received from Compass so far. From the initial fact finding call to the extensive report and the regular updates, the communication has been excellent.
Our advocate Christina has been excellent. She called prior to the assessment and was knowledgeable and reassuring and in turn directed and contributed throughout the meeting.
We don't have a final decision as yet but I can truly say that we have a far greater chance of being successful with the services of Compass.

Archie was fantastic. So kind and professional. Very understanding and sympathetic. Listened very carefully to everything I said. Offered calming words of sympathetic advice. Asked all the right questions and ironed out all the questions I had. He signposted me to my Local Authority for Social Services, and backed this up with emails too. So professional.
