They harvest your biometric data. They hid their dodgy data harvesting practice in their small prints until you want to withdraw. they steal and claim to keep your biometric information for 3 years. There is zero reason to collect biometric data for this type of services. There are loads of services out there do not collect this level of sensitive data. DO NOT USE THEM.

EDIT: After my disappointing experience, I was hopeful that a sparkling customer service interaction would change my overall perception of this app.

Instead, I was exposed to an officious customer service representative who seemed more keen to "mansplain" to me the workings of the Collectiv interface and which "toggle" I had failed to switch off, than to actually manage my concerns about the service.

There are plenty of similar 1 star reviews on here also critiquing the lack of transparency and sneaky fees.

I was hoping to find a favourable outcome but was left feeling further frustrated.

They don't tell you up front, but they have intrusive requirements to verify your ID, including a face scan

Very good service

A friend at work was leaving so wanted to organise a farewell gift for her from our team members. It was a synch setting up the Collctiv money pot link and tracking group contributions in a clear & stress free way. Recommend to anyone needing to pool money quickly in a group whatever the occasion.

Had a slight issue with my account (not Collectiv’s fault) and the customer service team were great! Helped me fix the problem really quickly (got back to me within the hour) so that I could then withdraw funds. Overall the collection was an really easy process, saved me chasing lots of people for money. Will use again!

Customer service was really good at solving my issue in a quick and polite way.

I first heard of this app last year when another parent set up a group collection for end of year teacher gifts. I decided to try it this year myself and it made the collection so very easy, no one had an issue making a payment and I like how you can personalise the pot. Will use again.

You guys suck! I tried to withdraw the money to my bank account and it kept saying my name was incorrect! Like I dont know what my own name on my own bank account is.. tried to withdraw it to another bank account and had it rejected cause it has to be an account under my name.. not the balance is 0 whilst a wait for it to be available but won’t be able to withdraw because you guys keep saying my name is wrong! What the hell!!

What a brilliant platform, easy to use

It was so simple for everyone to contribute to one target and withdrawal was very straightforward. I will definitely use this app/service again. Best wishes.

I use collectiv regularly for collections for teachers, either for Christmas or end of year collections. It's very easy to set up and use. You send a link out for others to pay into it. The only thing I had a small issue with is that the withdrawal is not instant you have to give it a day or two to arrive in your bank, but once you know that you can account for it 😊

Extremely easy to set up and nice to send out collection links without sending out bank details to over 60 people. Only thing to remember is the 3 days needed to withdraw the funds so allow enough time to close and purchase the presents!

Quick support received. Have recommended Collectiv even before using it directly, but will definitely continue to recommend having used it myself. Considered product design with a good user experience.
