Scam
I was scammed on Thursday on contacting the bank on Friday I discovered that the bank had stopped the payment and my money was safe and it was put back into my account during the telephone call. I was so relieved and it’s good to know that they have ways of flagging up payments that might look ‘wrong’ to them and they can stop money leaving accounts.

I had a message flag up from the bank…
I had a message flag up from the bank of a suspected payment I was about to make I cancelled everything I had put in and phoned the bank who sorted it out for me very easily and quickly and unblocked my account which they had blocked after suspecting a fraudulent transaction. I would definitely recommend this bank to anyone

An excellent experience
My call was answered relatively quickly and the staff member was particularly helpful and friendly.
He rapidly put my mind at rest and the issue was quickly resolved.
We have had a Cooperative Bank account for more than 50 years and while this operative was exceptionally helpful, I have found over the years that most staff are approachable, professional and friendly.Well done Cooperative Bank!

Opening the account online was straightforward and simple also fast delivery on recieving my card and pin also online banking was amazing to open as they ask u security questions from your past to make sure it's in the right hands

Why we still need banks on the High Street
Although trying to resolve my issue on the phone, which was a disaster and after 27 minutes, the person that put me on hold never came back. I then however, went into the bank in Norwich on Gentlemans Walk and the staff in there were amazing and resolved my issue

When enquiring about a card issue, I had a series of interactions with reps who didn't read/listen fully. I then found the interaction on secure messaging had mysteriously vanished, even more helpful.

Easy to carry out ( on line money transfer ) S ever responsive and helpful bank - I particularly like their help programme where j can ask anything bank related with a proper person replying within 2 days ( sooner if scam worries )

Fraud Alert
I was at the airport, ready to fly on hols, went to buy a coffee..my card was refused...I had others payment options so it wasn't as issue..but I needed to know why.?
I'd had a text from coop bank, saying there was a hold on my card & to ring the number given. I rang..the bank had responded to an unusual payment request, blocked it & contacted me. The payment was wrong, they saved me from being abused by an inline tick box link nade unknowingly that would have redulted in a £20 per month direct debit! They sorted it all out, stopped the fraud and reinstated my card on the one call...Brilliant service, vigilant and helpful. Really feel confident and safe banking with coop bank. Every issue is quickly resolved. Great service.

I have banked with the Co-operative Bank for 20 years
I have banked with the. CO-operative Bank for almost 20 years and cannot rate it highly enough for accessibility, easy use with their mobile banking app and easily contactable by phone if necessary. Their Fairtrade policy simply adds a bonus!
