It's easy to set up and then to transfer money.
I have also used the card for purchases in Europe ,where it's readily acceptable..

Better banks out there
I have been with this bank 34yrs and to be honest its a relic compared to other banks I get no alerts on my phone of money going in or out. The savings rates are not great, the worst part is the mobile banking its always down, I dont know any other banks with this much disruption to their service! Very frustrating when I need to sort out transactions.

Banking app once again down
Banking app once again down. Have no access to my savings or accounts that i pay a service to use. No bank i know is this bad. Why im still banking with them i dont know but it wont be long since i go elsewhere

Poor customer service
Poor customer service - long wait on telephone to speak to a customer service representative. Disappointed with the service when did get through to speak with someone - felt staff not empathetic or willing to listen to complaints - little effort from COOP Bank customer service to resolve- called me twice within minutes as I couldn't answer at the time they didn't try again to help ir resolve in person then receive a letter stating their customer service representative was not rude initial complaint ‐ VERY DISAPPOINTING from a caring community declared financial service

The purpose of my visit to the bank was to transfer a large sum of money. I am unable to do this from my computer at home because the Co-op bank usually try to phone me to ensure that the transaction is genuine. I am deaf and unable to use a phone. The cashier put a note on my account for the bank to send me a text instead of a phone call.

I wanted to arrange a new account with Co-op & a telephone appointment was arranged by call centre.
My call back was exactly on time & I received first class service from the member of staff.
My new account details, debit card & pin number arrived within 3 working days.
First class service all round.

What made me pleased was that t he lady who dealt with it made every effort to understand what problem I had despite the fact that I was very hesitant in answering her questions, because of my hearing problems. I would be pleased if you could let me have my 4 figured code for this card if it is different from the code for my current account code, which I use regularly and know verry well

Scam
I was scammed on Thursday on contacting the bank on Friday I discovered that the bank had stopped the payment and my money was safe and it was put back into my account during the telephone call. I was so relieved and it’s good to know that they have ways of flagging up payments that might look ‘wrong’ to them and they can stop money leaving accounts.
