Daniela, la padrona di casa, ha saputo accogliermi come un'amica di famiglia e mi ha fatto riscoprire piccoli segreti della nostra splendida arte culinaria. Rilassante il tempo trascorso insieme e ottimo il cibo gustato.

This tour was one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Lecce. Wandering through the local food market with a knowledgeable guide felt like being let in on a delicious secret—stalls overflowing with just-picked vegetables, fragrant herbs, fresh cheeses, and seafood that clearly hadn’t traveled far. Along the way, we learned not just what to eat, but why it matters in Salento cuisine, with stories about family traditions, seasonal rituals, and the rhythms of daily life in southern Italy.

The highlight came afterward: lunch at a local’s home. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed like old friends. The meal was simple, generous, and deeply flavorful—homemade dishes prepared with ingredients we’d just seen at the market, paired with excellent local wine that kept flowing as the conversation unfolded. It didn’t feel like a “tour” at all, but rather a shared afternoon around a family table. If you want to understand Lecce beyond its beautiful baroque streets—and taste its heart—this experience is not to be missed.

We had a lovely time with Paola in her home. We tasted many things and made 3 kinds of delicious pasta with various fillings and sauces. Everything was delicious and I left being confident I could make some of the food at home.

On a practical note, we had someone in our party who could not attend due to illness and the reservation was adjusted and the cost refunded with no hassle.

A great experience overall.

Ho fatto un regalo per Natale per un'esperienza con le Cesarine di Reggio Calabria(Antonella Salvago)per giorno 31/01/26 .. giorno 29/01 vengo contattata e comunico il contatto della persona interessata all'esperienza che le conferma la sua presenza al 31/01 ...oggi mi arriva un'email con l'annullo e il rimborso....contattata dall interessata non risponde al cellulare,le viene inviata un sms per chiedere conferma e scrive che l'incontro è annullato per la febbre.... capisco l'imprevisto...ma si poteva rinviare e non rimborsare.... questo denota mancanza di serietà e professionalità... complimenti...si sono giustificato che hanno fatto il rimborso per non causare disagi..premetto che c'era scritto che si poteva cambiare data ... quindi rimango sempre della mia opinione e confermo la mancanza di professionalità e serietà da non ripetere l'esperienza....

The guide arrived late with her husband, for some reason, and began showing us around the immediate streets.

When I asked about Naples pizza, she got us €6 worth of pizza and bottles of water from a supermarket home brand.

She walked us around aimlessly while she and her husband shopped for Christmas ornaments and this took 2 hours and was our “Naples tour”.

It was only after I pointed out that this was a food tour that they argued amongst themselves in Italian and took us to a deli for a few slices of salami and cheese. Then more arguing and we got a fried pasta fritter.

This whole tour was a colossal waste of our time and money. There was no food focus whatsoever and we only got food when we asked. There was no planning of this tour at all from her as she just wandered around with us following.

It was an absolute waste of our time and money. We could have had a much better experience with both financial and food focus on our own exploring Naples.

Location strepitosa curata in ogni minimo dettaglio, luci, musica, mise en place, cibo buonissimo e abbondante e chiacchere super simpatiche! Cosa chiedere di più!

We had a wonderful experience in Marilena’s family home! We signed up for a group class up ended up being a private class with just my boyfriend and I. We made the best pasta we’ve both had, caprese ravioli, and tagliatelle along with delish tiramisu. She was kind enough to provide all the recipes too! At the end we ate together as if part of the family, a truly special experience.

Tuvimos una excelente experiencia. Marilú no solo es una gran cocinera, que sabe trasmitir la pasión por lo que hace, sino que también pudimos disfrutar una hermosa cena en su compañía y la de su esposo. Tuvieron la amabilidad de llevarnos hasta el hotel una vez terminada la clase y la cena, y se mostraron predispuestos por si necesitábamos cualquier cosa durante nuestra estadía en la ciudad. Realmente lo recomiendo! Gracias Marilú!

personalmente non conoscevo Cesarine come servizio. Ho trovato una proprietaria di casa simpatica, gentile e preparata. Abbiamo lavorato assieme e passato un bel momento conviviale a tavola. Super consigliato!

Avevo già fatto una Seratina a Modena ed era stata magica. Questa volta, è stato il regalo di compleanno ad un’amica. Abbiamo scelto i cavatelli con pesto di basilico. L’esperienza è stata divertente e piacevole, ideale per passare una serata diversa dal solito. Super consigliata Simona, la cesarina di Milano che ci ha ospitato assieme alla sua famiglia creando un clima conviviale. Unica nota dolente: il prezzo, che ci è sembrato un po’ eccessivo rispetto all’esperienza complessiva. In ogni caso ne vale la pena!

Le persone che ho incontrato sono state molto gentili e ospitali è stata una serata molto piacevole e divertente. GRAZIE

My daughter and a friend were traveling to Bari for the New Year and I decided to treat them to a cooking class. I hesitate to organize any travel activities for them as it isn't always appreciated but their experience from the pizza-making class was exceptional. Her friend messaged me thanks and said "it was an experience we'll never forget." My daughter wrote "we love our Nonna!" and what a "wonderful experience" it was. Home Run for Mom!! and thanks to Cesarine and Nonna Valentina. Grazi!

Excellent! Great / easy to book through. Stayed in contact and responded as soon as a question arose. Made adjustments as we needed and made the process of this wonderful experience easy! I would definitely use Cesarine again.

La nostra Cesarina Giuluana, assieme a suo figlio, sono stati fantastici. Ci hanno insegnato a fare le tagliatelle, hanno preparato un sugo di pomodoro delizioso e per finire uno tra i migliori tiramisù di sempre. Tutto perfetto, compresa l'attenzione per allergie e intolleranze. Location stupenda a pochi passi dal centro di Milano... Grazie grazie grazie!!!

The host (our chef) was what made this experience so unique and memorable. Great instructor, warm, engaging, and welcoming to his home. The location, an Italian home, rather than a restaurant, for example, also made the experience very unique.
