I have had the BEST experience with Butter Insurance . The Bali ash cloud had me cancel our trip . Getting the runaround from actual accommodation and the booking source was soooooo frustrating . Butter listened , heard my issue and understood . They were amazing to deal with , I wasn’t a number . My claim was assessed so quickly and paid out in just a few days . This is the most reasonable and understanding insurance claim I’ve made . Helping out in more ways than one ! If you need insurance GO BUTTER !! If you want to be treated fairly and feel you are being heard by an actual person not a generated system please use Butter . Highly recommended five star service ,

Extremely disappointed with the outcome of my claim and the prolonged period of time it has taken to still not have obtained a resolution. Adequate documentation and evidence had been provided only for further information to be requested and ultimately lead to the withdrawal of my claim. Should have stuck with my original insurer. Staff were helpful and it was a user-friendly process to begin with.

I never discredited your request for further information. I critiqued your inability to resolve the matter in a reasonable time. I provided sufficient evidence at the beginning of the claim (which would have been suffice to another insurer) and you are currently at week 5 of attempting to obtain “further information” with no end date in sight. Your inability to obtain information should not impact my ability to be reimbursed. That’s the equivalent of advising that I won’t pay your premium until I have the need for a claim. I don’t appreciate your attempt to patronise a paying client who withdrew their claim as a result of your failed procedure and due diligence.

Easy enough to organise but I don't see why I'm asked to write a review before the start of the insurance. How can I answer the question: How did we do? if nothing has been done yet? So three stars for now, due to unnecessary emails.

I bought Butter cover for my son and I for a trip to New Zealand in September. The user experience in the purchasing process is unbelievably good - it was absolutely seamless and very quick and easy.
Fortunately I haven't had to claim on the policy.
I will definitely purchase Butter cover again in the future.

I got in touch with Butter Insurance, to see what my options were,Sophie was most honest and helpful, told me what I was covered for and how to make a claim. I decided to get in touch with the Airline and they agreed I was due compensation, so in the end I did not make a claim with Butter Insurance, but knowing that they were only to happy to help, was pleasing to know.
I will use Butter Insurance again without hesitation on my next adventure, highly recommended.

I tried to book online and there was a little bug in the app but maybe because my phone it’s an iPhone X
