Unless you want your house torn apart by professionals, then out back together by absolute jokers, give them a miss. 8 weeks in, initially told they only needed the house for 2 days!!!! Every person they send to "fix" the problems makes an even bigger mess.
Solid oak floor - ruined
Bathroom tiles - ruined
Rendering - ruined
Entire top floor of the house -ruined
Bosses love photographing the problems, but can't actually do anything to sort them out.
Please, please please find another company to use, they will be the single biggest mistake of your life

After weeks of getting nowhere, we managed to get through to a manager called Colin Lightfoot, he addressed all the issues, put all our fears and concerns to rest, and most importantly ensured our house was put back the the same high standard it was prior to the work starting.
Yes, mistakes were made, however, each and every issue was rectified. We are very grateful for all the work to put the house right.
Broadoak, you are very lucky to have such a respectable and honourable member of staff.

Really good communication all the way through. The solar panel fitters and electricians worked efficiently and kept us informed of what they were doing.
Really helpful planning ppt before the work started so there were no surprises.

We are very pleased with the experience we had with Broad Oak Group when they installed our air source pump. We had a thorough explanation of the work being done and how long it will take. They took their time to answer any queries we had about this new system. The engineers were very courteous and helpful and they made sure that we were happy with everything. Since they left, I discovered that one of the radiators had some knocks top & bottom and on mentioning it, they said that they will sort it out. We can only recommend them. Thank you.

Broad Oak carried out the following work for us ;

The work carried out was started with the in roof room insulation which was carried out by a father and son team , they worked diligently every day ,were friendly and respectful at all times, they did a fantastic job of installing and plastering the room which drew compliments from the painter who decorated the room once it was finished.
The plumbers had a massive job to do and carried out the work in a very professional manner and were great with communication keeping us informed every step of the way,they planned the job in such a way that they left the kitchen to last so the upheaval was minimised as much as possible.
The guys that did the cavity wall insulation were polite and very efficient,again explaining everything along the way .
The electricians were great and worked with us as to minimise the amount of trunking needed and helped with explaining the workings of the solar panel system along with the app .
The scaffolding guys did a quick and excellent job as did the solar panel installation team .
Since the work has been done we’ve really noticed the difference in our house,the bedroom in the lift is so cozy it’s surprising and with the app for the solar panels we have noticed big savings on electricity, our water is even hotter than when we had a boiler.
Every tradesman was excellent and left the rooms very clean , I’m ashamed to say I can’t remember everyone name because if I could I would list all of them and give them all a 5 star rating .
So this might seem like an overly enthusiastic review but it’s my honest opinion on what was a very positive experience. We have found that it’s been worthwhile getting this work done.

Things started well with Broad Oak but ended badly.The application process took four months, which the Council tells us is much longer than it should take.After we got the grant, an install date was initially agreed for after we had been on our imminent holiday, only to be advised by the company that the grant could not be guaranteed if we waited till then. So we cancelled our holiday.The day before the install was scheduled to start, I rang up to speak to the Job Manager, and found for the first time that the Company was going to install the Air Source heat Pump and Solar Panels but not fully insulate the house, only two ceilings and the loft.Time and again we have been told by everyone including the County Council and Broad Oak that it is essential to have full internal insulation of external walls or else the Air Source Heat Pump will be too expensive to run at the temperature necessary.I remonstrated with them about the importance of doing the job fully, but I was told if we wanted proper insulation we would have to pay for it ourselves at the cost of £28,000. As this was not within our means, regretfully I have had to cancel the work with Broad Oak.
Broad Oak has behaved very shoddily, they did not keep us promptly informed about the changes in what they told us they were going to install, and if I hadn't asked myself,I wouldn't have known, until the job had started and it was too late, that they were not going to do the sound and affordable eco-alterations to our home that they had told us should, and would be installed
A narrow escape, that has left us minus our holiday and with a cold winter ahead unless we start the whole process of application again with a more trustworthy agent.
Sadly I would not recommend Broad Oak to anyone -do not trust them.

Broad Oak Group were well organised in expediting the broad range of activities involved in this project.
During the first meeting each step was explained in detail with a clear indication of the impact the work would have on our normal domestic routine (and there will be impacts). We were given every opportunity to ask questions before agreeing to the commencement of the work.
The work entailed:
- erection of 10 solar panels on the roof,
- connecting same to the domestic electrical system
- install cavity wall insulation
- install Air Source Heat Pump
- install new hot water cylinder
- install new radiators and associated pipework
- test and commission all systems.
With a project of this magnitude there were bound to be issues but Broad Oak team attended each one promptly and efficiently entirely to our satisfaction.
Throughout the duration of the work the staff had been courteous, diligent and helpful.

Had broad oak install my cavity wall insulation and can't compliment them enough. From start to finish took just over 3 weeks. The workmen that came round was professional and very good making sure I was happy with the work and cleaned up after themselves.

Would highly recommend broadoak for any work done.

I recently had a full central heating system installed which included a new boiler and complete new pipe work along side new loft insulation.
Everyone I dealt with along the process was friendly and professional, they communicated every detail thoroughly and were happy to answer any questions along the way - there were quite a few as I'm not very practical! All the workmen were great, they put sheets down to cover all the floors and took great care to make sure there was minimal mess - they also worked full days to make sure everything got done properly which I was really pleased about. Overall they did a great job from start to finish - its always nervy getting something like this done in your house and they made it as easy as they possibly could. I would definitely recommend and use them again in the future. Thanks to everyone involved!

10/10 from me, we got the full works from solar panels to new pipe’s throughout the house! From the office staff to the workman they were all amazing, friendly and kept me updated with everything that was going on and who was coming and going on what dates. They also cleaned up the best they could which was a bonus haha.

Unless you want thousands of pounds of damage doing to your house in the process of a new boiler then avoid this company. Subcontracted to a separate company to do the work on our house and they caused more damage than they did work. Ruined all our new carpets, broke new tiles in the bathroom, put un-necessary holes in our walls when fitting pipes, caused a leak in the living room and then the ceiling caved in. Floor boards all carelessly ripped up so now they all creek. The list goes on. And still finding issues now. Both boiler and heat pump fitted incorrectly and had to be fixed several times. They sent someone to fix the damages but the job was done poorly and left us with damages we can’t fix.
The scheme is great but sadly not carried out well by this company. Was told the work would take up to a week and took over three - leaving us in December with no heating and no hot water with a child in the house.

We had a Heat Pump and Solar Panels fitted and the Central Heating updated, the people that did the work were brilliant, polite and cleaned up after, and they explained everything.
We would highly recommend Broad Oak they are very professional in every type of work, best thing we ever did, glad we chose Broad Oak

Began well, surveys, wall insulation, plumbing, heat pump installation no problem.
Unfortunately the supervisor had to take leave and no provision for taking over his caseload. This lead to the solar installation not being operational for 2 months after the panels were fitted, with repeated calls to get sorted, but office kept saying the installation complete. Different electricians came and went unable to resolve why the system was not generating. Eventually all panels removed and rewired as original electrician wired the array up incorrectly.

The company alleged to have completed the job end of March, but solar only worked beginning of May. Now I continue to tear my hair out trying to get the scaffolding removed. 23rd June, 3 months after the panels were fitted and still standing. Security risk and blocking out the light, nevermind being in the way. Again, they just wont call back.

From a good start, and no issues with the heat pump and insulation, let down by, terrible communication, dismal customer care, but general lack of information, poor handover, I still don't know how the controller works, confusing information on who is responsible for servicing and guarantees, and no idea whether my battery is actually working as it should, the Tigo app doesn't tell you anything about it.

Misinformation such as Broadoak only use their own contractors, won't be signed off until I am happy with the installation, ( a truly hilarious fantasy, I was pressured into signing it off to meet billing deadline) and no plausible explanation why I had to pay for additional solar panels when the installers mounted them differently leaving space for more under the grant.

I think once Broadoak got their grant invoice in, they just forgot that the installation was not actually completed and forgot about the job with the pressure to move to the next one.

Excellent communication throughout. Left NO mess. Made me feel safe. Made my experience a very positive one. Have had good dealings with this company in the past. Highly recommend.
