Stay away from this firm if you can. I had the heat pump and solar panels installed under the eco scheme. The quality of work is very average, if not below, there is no communication whatsoever. It’s now been 6 months since installation and I am still having problems with solar panels. They had to come out to heat pump several times as well. Broad oak installed a new vent on my roof which was leaking, lots of water came through a light fixture in my daughter’s bedroom putting her life at risk. It turned out that the vent was installed the wrong way round. It took 3 different teams to discover that as they just kept adding more silicone to the roof tiles instead of checking why the roof was leaking. The water pressure keeps dropping and switches the heat pump off. I’ve been trying to get the solar panels looked at for weeks now but not able to get a response from this company. Very disappointing experience.

Many many thanks to all the team for the excellent work carried out at my home … the service was exemplary from the very first call to Martin right through to the last guy leaving… I had solar panels, an air source heat pump, new radiators cavity wall insulation and internal wall insulation in three rooms .. all this work was carried out by the most amazing team their individual knowledge regarding their own aspects of the work was incredible… they explained every piece of work they were going to do … they were all thoroughly professional and polite cleaned up after themselves a really really fantastic gang of tradesmen an absolute credit to Broad Oak… if you are lucky enough to be able to take advantage of their service then I would suggest that you get the ball rolling asap you certainly won’t regret it … I know it’s going to make a huge difference to us… once again Broad Oak thank you very very much. I had a full boiler/ radiator system put in alongside solar panels and heat pump externally. Broad oak were great at telling me stages of installation etc. Issues I had were promptly discussed and fixed. Also the staff were all friendly and great to have in my home.

The job to be done was well explained. The service provided was efficient and very good. The two workmen left the property clean and tidy.

Broad Oak did a very professional job installing cavity wall insulation to my property. From the offset the team were professional and polite. The cavity wall insulation has made a huge difference in retaining the heat in my home. 5 🌟 would recommend! Thank you very much.

Had solar panels, an air source heat pump, insulation and boiler fitted by Broad Oak in early 2024 under the Eco scheme which meant our radiators and some pipework also had to be upgraded. The work was carried out quickly and efficiently by a number of different skilled trades to a very high standard. The lads were friendly, tidy and hard working, considerate of our property and worked over when needed to get the job completed. Would recommend.

Broad Oak liaised directly with myself via telephone. If I called them, I would always leave my number and someone would call back within the day.

Completion of the works to satisfaction. All waste was removed by them too.

Great service from a hard working bunch of guys. No issues whatsoever

We had a heat pump and solar panels fitted by Broadoak, we were very pleased with the work that they did and the people that installed the system were clean and tidy and did the work to a high standard. We have had the system for about 6 months now and it is running well, the house is constantly warm rather than cycling between hot and cold that we had with the old heating system and our bills are slightly below what we were previously paying.
The only area that could have been be done better was the hand over at the end of the installation where the operation of the system was explained and how to best set it up. I felt that this process was rushed and there was a lot of information given in a short period of time.
Some form of written quick start or simple operation guide would have been more useful to have, the manuals that were left are very complicated and more aimed at installers rather than end users.
Don’t let this put you off Broadoak though, my understanding is that this is a common complaint about almost all companies installing heat pumps.

All the lads were lovely, they worked hard. Had solar panels, full central heating and a air source heat pump fitted. They did the work in the time they said would. They communicated well and kept us informed and since the works been complete, we've been able to contact them about queries and worries and they've got straight back in touch to help us. Everyone including the workman have been lovely, especially knowing that I'd just lost my Husband. The whole are a credit to broadoak.

Broad oak group fitted me my solar panels, heat pump, and few other stuff. Am so happy with work they carry out. Very reliable, and friendly group of lads. We left them in my property and me and my family went out. While we were out they respected my home.

Arrived home to find Broad Oak had arranged scaffolding to be erected in my garden in order for them to work on a neighbour's property. No communication was received to say this was happening, no authority was given by me and I've now been left with restricted access to my own property while they dodge responsibility. The solar panel fitters left rubbish and boxed items in our garden and haven't returned to finish the job so I hope there was nothing expensive in the boxes as they've all since been rained on several times since they were left. We all make mistakes but a good company holds their hands up to things being wrong and work to put them right which doesn't include hanging up on phone calls and leaving messages unanswered.

We had a combination heat pump installed under the eco4 scheme by this company and the amount of damage caused was insane.

We expressed our concerns about the people that broadoak sent out on the first day after lots of damage was caused and they told us that we have to let them finish and they will rectify the damage afterwards...

Brand new carpets were ripped, floorboards damaged, water leaked through multiple new light fixtures and part of our living room cieling collapsed, multiple holes were drilled in the wrong place which we've just discovered has gone through our newly renovated bathroom tiles, bathroom spotlights came down and had been stuck back in so now we can't change the bulbs. The heatpump had to have the board replaced by the manufacturer who also replaced multiple parts in the boiler before it would work which we suspect was due to poor installation. We've had stuff go missing too. The list really does go on.

We went with this company originally as we were happy with their proposal and they offered to pay for our old asbestos boiler flue to be removed which another company wouldn't but I would strongly advise choosing another company to avoid the many months of stress that this company will likely cause. We were left without heating for a long time and had to accommodate so called repairs but we've got a lot of the damage fixed ourselves now to try to move on from this.
