Having recently had a cataract operation I needed to get a possible issue checked out. Hermilinda at Boots Opticians in the Glades, Bromley went out of her way to resolve the issue and was able to offer an appointment the same day. Thereby I was able to get the reassurance I needed. All round excellent service.

Trying to order some extra lenses - these are fragile and prone to accidents so spares are imperative for me. After being unable to get any contact with Adaro - the company who administer the scheme, emails and phone calls ignored - finally called my local branch - apparentlyI have to go into the store as they can't take payment over the phone - really? Euurgh!

I was away in Paignton and bent my only pair of glasses. I went to the local store and received five star support from Kim and left within five minutes with a working pair of glasses.

Attentive and explained everything thoroughly. Glasses were checked for fit.

James the optician is fabulous and always has been.
I find on entering the shop it’s not clear where to go and staff congregating chatting, I always have to ask for help. Never seems to be the same staff a very high turn over. I had 3 staff help me choose glasses the first one kept yawning and then disappeared, 2nd one went to help someone else and the 3rd one was ok(ish) but I had already chosen my 3 pairs of glasses. She initially put the order in incorrectly and then couldn’t work out the discount properly so I was given a few prices and still don’t know what I’ve paid as no breakdown was given (will have to wait for credit card statement or when I pick up glasses)

Excellent service provided by Mr. Adeel at Epsom branch..... Definitely recommended..

I called in today to collect my new glasses, I was very impressed with how helpful every member of staff was, but two members in particular stood out.
Zai Aab (I hope I spelt that correctly) was really helpful when I attended initially for my eye sight test. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she had a lovely smile on her face throughout.
Kim fitted my New Glasses today, she too was lovely and so helpful in explaining everything to me.

I’m very impressed at the excellent service I received during my contact lens checks with Wendy at Hove Boots Opticians. I have a complicated prescription with scars in my corneas from RK surgery and have previously only visited specialist opticians who never managed to provide contact lenses that were quite right for me. But Wendy has recommended the perfect lenses and I’m delighted to say that thanks to her expertise I can now see more clearly than I have in years.

Got my new glasses .good offer .3 pairs for £75.the lady was so kind as l wasn't feeling good.but we tried each pair on.adusted the frames.

Excellent service had a great experience with this optician. The staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. The eye examination was thorough, and everything was explained clearly and patiently.

Went to my regular opticians to simply buy some replacement frames. I have varifocal lenses and simply wanted to put them in exactly the same Superdry frames. (£130)

Was told “you can’t just buy the frames like that” [what does that even mean?!] I would need to join the other people waiting and then see a “specialist” - current waiting time was about 20 minutes.

Went round the corner to boots opticians and George couldn’t have been more helpful.

Left the glasses with him and arrange to collect later, when he’d be able to show me the frame, although it wouldn’t be superdry, which was fine.

Everything sorted, and the staff even transferred the lenses for just £80, which was the cost of the replacement frames.

Thanks so much to George and staff for great service. Will be back in November for my eye test as a new Boots customer.

I attended Boots Opticians Romsey for assessment of a new eye floater and had been asked to arrive 30 minutes early for dilating drops. Only after I arrived was I told that the optometrist had called in sick and nobody else could see me.

I understand staff illness happens, but I was disappointed not to have been contacted beforehand. I was even more disappointed when the practice manager refused to help contact another Boots branch and simply handed me Primary Eye Care details to arrange alternatives myself.

I have now moved my eye care elsewhere, and so have my husband and mother.

My glasses broke on a Monday three weeks before a booked holiday so there was some urgency in getting new glasses. I booked for the earliest available eye test, for Wednesday. On Tuesday afternoon I received a phone call informing me the optician would not be in on Wednesday and was asked to rebook - the earliest appointment was now on Saturday. On the day itself, the lady who helped me choose my glasses rushed me and seemed bored and uninterested. I ended up with glasses that I wasn't sure about, and only noticed some features of them once I had already paid. The appointment to collect them was made for Thursday the week after - 5 days before the start of my holiday. This appointment was rebooked for Saturday at short notice as the glasses had not yet arrived. The same happened to the Saturday appointment. I had to postpone my holiday by a day for other reasons and was able to collect my new glasses on the Monday, otherwise I would have had to spend my entire holiday with glasses held together with tape. The glasses pinched even after fitting and also very askew, and I really didn't like the glasses. After my holiday I returned them (positive point: I didn't have to pay for the replacement). The collection appointment for the second pair was also postponed at short notice. I don't feel I can rely on this branch of the shop (Darlington; I had a better experience previously at another branch).

As always, staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble to help with.

Absolutely disgusting the way we have been treated by Boots optician Brentcross we have been using them for last 35 years. My wife and I had thee consecutive appoints cancelled. I think it is time to try their competitors spec savers.
