Watch this lot of scammers! They're back to the old ways of 15 years & more ago. Only bought a few things from there in passing & back to their usual tricks one of the items was out of date, having been diligently looking at food stuff with many out of date & many more about to go out of date one of my item slipped through the net, this time was the last time.

Zero stars common as muck staff at Pudsey in Leeds store I'm not a "love" sexist, ageist,misogynistic and chauvinistic are the staff.
I went to browse but didn't have much in, female shop assistant went "sorry love" then went past the tills to get out as the exit was blocked. The so called male manager "would you like your recepit love" it's mandorty for any recepit especially due to any purchases regarding shoplifting, returns and proof of purchase. Talking down to any woman just shows that the staff at all levels at B&M's and in this store are ageist, sexist, misogynistic and chauvinistic.
If I was working woth these do called staff I would be going to an employment tribunal.
Would like to thank staff member Phil at the ashington, Northumberland branch. Who helped me throughout my two visits today (2nd May 2026) with heavy gardening items. Polite, friendly, and helped us find everything we needed, as well as lifting everything in to the car. He also assisted in helping us find a suitable solution to what we needed. Thanks Phil ☺️
I visited the meteor centre B&M where I have been shopping for years. I had a query with the assistant manager and she was rude and did not help in any way. I asked for the manager and she told me he had gone home. I shall now be going to the spondon one. Which is a shame because the meteor one is nearer for me.
My garden chair had a slight fault which wasn't apparent as the armrest was bubblewrapped. I (with no transport) had been fortunate enough to be taken to the Drakehouse shop. I live in Worksop and couldn't get back there. The Manager at Worksop not only arranged for another one to be delivered to the Worksop store but a work colleague there brought it for me (as the Worksop store did not stock that particular design)and I had it the following day. I now have four very comfortable 'rattan' chairs and a lovely round table with a glass top. As always, I find B & M goods excellent value from my new hacksaw to all my household items and my microwave.
Very helpful staff in store and online.

Was a little unhappy that local shop couldnt just replace faulty part without receipt. Lesson learnt keep receipt with goods purchased until opened and checked in full working order.

Big thank you to Jack in the garden centre at B&M Leckwith, Cardiff. This is the second time he has helped me - great customer service, friendly, on hand with advice and he offered assistance straight away with my large trolley of compost etc - even loaded my car. Great employee.

I visited the Wales CF31 3XX branch. While looking for some *CHEAP* plastic large boxes and I came across a big box of Ty-Phoo tea. They had 2 sizes on the shelf and 2 price tags. Both were £2 even though one box was much bigger than the other. The big box had a "50% extra free" sticker on it. So I picked up the bigger box and put in my cart. I added some boxes to my cart (not what I was after but ok for other stuff). When I got to the checkout I saw there was no way to verify the price of what went through the till so I added up the price in my head. Not hard, only three items. One set of boxes were £9, the other set was £8 and the tea should have been £2. A total of £19. The cashier asked for £20. I queried this and was tolds the tea was £3. I complained and the cashier shot off (warp 1), went to the shelf (easy to see from where I was standing) took 2 price tags of the shelf and brought them back to the till. One showed £2 and the other showed £2.50 (crossed out) reduced to £2. No other price tag. I was told the box I had was probably £3 and that was that. I left the box of tea. I would rather spend more elsewhere than get conned into buying it at B&M. So, no way to verify what you're paying per item and if you don't keep a clear head and work out what you should be paying before hand then odds are high you wont get the bargin you were let to belive you were getting... This is clearly BAIT and SWITCH!!! I feel bad for the staff as they are only doing what they are told. The people really to blame are those fiddling with the prices and telling the staff what to do. Send the managers and owners a message - boycott B&M

Great customer service. I had to return an item I purchased however I did not have the receipt but after speaking to Customer services they were able to find my receipt online & then send me this via my email so I could show the cashier. Thank you

Always had such great service at the B&M in Barnstaple that I had to write a review. I always seem to need help finding things or advice and today was no exception! Firstly I was looking for mats to go under a pool and I asked a busy shop assistant in the store. She didn’t hesitate to take me to the hot tub mats. When I told her they were a bit expensive she walked off… only to come back a couple of minutes later with an ideal solution to my problem! I was so touched that she taken the time to have a think about my needs and grab them for me that I had to ask her name… thank you Patsy!!
Then there’s Billy who is always so keen to help and put a positive spin on things! He just doesn’t take you to the item you asked for, he explains, ‘Toothbrushes are here and the soft brushes are here, firm here and at the top electric. I’ll just be over here if you need any more help!’ A complete diamond!!
I then had to ask someone else for help with something to help clean my gutter and Darren cane to my rescue and again we came up with a perfect solution! He even checked stores to see if he had any disposable bbq’s, which he got and put in my trolley! Any other store probably would say ‘if they’re not there, we haven’t got any!’
Then last but not least Oliver who served me on the tills saw that I had a disability and would have trouble loading car and offered to find help (without me having to cry or ask haha) You saved my back Oliver, thank you!
The staff here are just a delight! They seem to go over and above common standards of customer service and I wanted to say a big thank you to them (and all the people I haven’t mentioned as everyone I spoke to helped I just didn’t get all of their names!) You can tell the manager is great as friendliness, team work and great customer service seems paramount in this store! I hope the staff here are fully appreciated as they really do such a great job!!!

Only negative is with b&m, I would like to exchange the faulty item for a new one but no option to do this other than to wait for 2months for stock to come back into store.

The experience and customer service from Mel Tamworth 774 is exceptional she does her absolute hardest to help customer requirements I went in today with one of the school mums who required gas canisters for camping and Mel went above and beyond to get the product. What a wonderful lady.

Assistant manager at BM Govan store is an absolute star nothing to much trouble for her manner in dealing with customers in my experience is second to none .

I often visit B&M in Ormskirk because of the wide range of very useful 'products' that you would not usually find elsewhere. So, I called in yesterday to look for something that generally can only be found in large stores such as Tesco - Fine Bone China Mugs - from which is the best way to drink tea or coffee...!!.
However, from where I live in Maghull, Merseyside, that would be a monumental 'trek' due to the geographical and a logistically awkward distance from where I live.
Not surprisingly, as I looked in each aisle, I came across a selection of Mugs and Cups etc, and I saw two delightful Mugs 'decorated' with 'Bee' motifs,
I looked at the attached label which stated 'Fine China Mug', and I am aware that there is a subtle difference between Fine China and Fine Bone China, in that the latter contains bone ash making it stronger and more durable than the former, which contains clay and other materials.
However, on a smaller, self-adhesive label on the side of the Mug was the term 'Fine Bone China, so I took both Mugs to a couple of young members of B&M Staff who, very, very understandably, did not know the difference between the two labels - not many do.
I stress that this was absolutely no reflection on these young hardworking, helpful and very friendly staff members.
I thus decided to buy the Mugs, wrapped of course, and see if I could later establish which label was applicable.
So, using the information on the reverse of the attached label, I had sufficient information to find and contact B&M's Customer Service, so telephoned it.
Happily, and surprisingly, my call was answered swiftly by a delightful young lady named Jane, who totally understood my unusual question, and requested the Item Code of the Mug from the label. She immediately established the product I was talking about and said that she would contact the 'Product' section of B&M and get a response - saying (again understandably) that it could take up to 24 hours to search for the information, and would call or email me with that response whichever I preferred.
Guess what, Jane called me in just over, maybe an hour and a half with the confirmation that the Mugs where, indeed Fine Bone China - to my delight.
I must express my thanks and gratitude to Jane in B&M Customer Service for the efficiency she showed in getting this unusual request for Product information clarified for me.
Oh, that other major Companies' Customer Services were at the level that Jane exhibited.
As a Former Director of Knowsley Business Watch (Merseyside), I found that many customers were more likely to express a complaint than congratulate the opposite.
Personally, I do both...it can help Businesses maybe reshape their Customer Service.
B&M doesn't need to....great stuff and thanks, Jane.
