Where to start. I hired a car from Autohorn for a month whilst my car was in the garage. It wasn't cheap but it was cheaper to do short term hire than a daily rental elsewhere. You have to pay an admin fee to be able to hire from them, which isn't ideal, so after £550 I got a car delivered. The drop off was done quickly, the representative told me that there was some superficial damage to the bodywork that he had marked on the paperwork as existing. I didn't think anything more of that at this point. The car itself was great, I have no issues with the vehicle, just the company who rented it out. I called 1 week prior to the month rental being up to let them know that I no longer needed the car and the sale rep I spoke to agreed a date with me that was one day before my rental period finished, so that (his words) "We can ensure you won't be charged on the rolling contract for another month". The car gets picked up and the rep starts a brand new inspection form to assess the vehicle, they do not use the one I have that details the existing damage. I mentioned this and was told it was fine to start a new one and that they'll submit the paperwork together. He told me all damage matched that of the damage already identified at drop off. I signed. He took all paperwork with him and left me with nothing, which should have rung alarm bells at the time but I needed to get back on a work call so didn't question it. The following day, £420 is taken from my account for another months rental. I called them to query it and they told me that they always take that and that they will then deduct any costs of repair and send the remaining funds back to me. I told them there was no damage, I had that confirmed but that nobody left me with any paperwork to confirm this. The next email I receive is from the maintenance team with photos of damage to the car that they are charging me for!! I honestly think this is their business strategy - to charge extra post-rental like this. After a lot of calls and emails, weeks of battles and me having to get my bank involved, I eventually received my money back. Do not use this company unless you have a few days you'd like to waste on the phone and email! Never. Again.

Avoid! 100% a fraudulent company, you would be better off buying a second hand car for short term use.

They quoted me just over £1000 for repair work which wasn't even on the inspection report at hand over. £400 to replace a tiny chip on the window outside the driver view less than 4 mm in size! other charges for damage which I believe they have intentionally caused to justify charging the customer extortionate amounts! they was happy to drop £360 pound of the "repair work" if I just accept it. not to mention they refused to show any of this so called repair work. they forced me to change car as the previous car was leaving stock which ended up being £190 extra just for delivery.

On top of all that after I returned my second car after 4 weeks of renting it they decided to charge me a whole month extra £503... for having the car one extra day even though I offered for them to pick it up on the last day of the rental period, they agreed but changed their mind two days before saying they had no one available. £503 for having the car for one day.. beyond a joke and they thought this was acceptable. now they are ignoring my calls and emails I have given them untill Friday 14th or I will seek legal action.

Please avoid it's not worth the stress to have any dealings with this company

STOP!!! AVOID AT ALL COST. We hired a car for Business use at NO POINT did they discuss mileage. 15000 per year allowance. This is a disgusting way of getting more money out of you. now trying to charge Pro-rata. AVOID THE HIDDEN CHARGES. LOOK AT THE OTHER REVIEWS. NOT GOOD! NOT AN HONEST COMPANY.

THE CAR NO LONGER HAS DAMAGE ITS NOW AN OVER DUE SERVICE CHARGE, £500 TO SERVICE A FIAT 500. THIS COMPANY MAKES RESONS UP TO CHARGE YOU MORE MONEY.

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID. DO NOT USE. WHEN YOU CHALLENGE THEM THEY END THE CALL AND PUT IT DOWN.

We leased a car through this company because they had the most competitive rates, HOWEVER this soon turned out NOT to be the case after you add up all the hidden charges!!! If you accidentally incur a parking fine they charge you £35 as an admin fee JUST TO FORWARD THE EMAIL to you!!!! It also costs us £500 to have the car delivered and picked at the beginning + end of the lease!!! What an absolute scam SHAME ON YOU! AVOID AND SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE

They are a shame of a company who snare you with industry average prices and rip you off with bogus and disgusting repair costs.
They charged to have a whole rear bumper removed and and sprayed twice for a minor superficial mark next to the wheel arch.
I wouldn't even be surprised if they sent their people out to do it themselves so they can con them with the repair costs. They charge more than double the actual repair costs.
Do not use these people. You have been warned.

Absolute rip off merchants... Do not at any costs consider these people, they are only interested in conning as part of their end game and making up bogus repair costs through an affiliate

Unauthorized direct debits, and unethical repairs process
Beware of Authorn taking unauthorized debits, even after your lease ends and the vehicle has been returned. They are quick to debit your account, but slow in refunding you.

Also, be thorough with your vehicle inspection when your vehicle is being delivered to you. I had my vehicle delivered, and the driver did not encourage or do an inspection with me. My key was issued, and tablet used to sign an electronic delivery receipt. This came back to haunt me, as Autohorn now claims there are new dents and scratches to the vehicle, and with no report to show the condition of the vehicle and supporting photos at the time of delivery, I have no choice but to pay for the repairs.

I have been left questioning the ethics and conduct of the company, and would warn you to think twice before using them.

This is the worst leasing company ever.They are a scam.Con artists at its finest.

They will rip you off with charges that aren’t explainable or excusable.
Charged for a subscription even though it was cancelled within notice.

They keep registering new company names to deter customers from the bad reviews on how badly they treat their customers therefore more likely to take a lease with them.
The history of how bad they treat customers is disgraceful.

All the company’s are registered to the same address Flex.co.uk,Easilease and Europcar are the other company names which is suspect.

I have been ripped off with a extortionate damage costs from “previous” damages to a car which was a year old with high mileage due to be auctioned.
It seems previous repairs aren’t getting done/vehicles are getting damaged during the delivery process. Customers are being charged/invoiced incorrectly and unfairly.
Damages aren’t logged correctly from previously.

They have admitted they invoiced incorrectly for a previous damage and brushed it off as “minor” mistake.It was 800 pound bill reduced to 600!!
When questioned several times about it they did not recollect or respond to the evidence required in order to justify the invoice.

Deceiving and not honest from the start when the car was delivered there was no record on the delivery note of the “previous” damage/es.
I was never shown around the car once delivered to the property what condition it was in.
The car they delivered was in reserve in petrol not a good start!!

I was just invoiced a bill after collection.

They don’t answer your enquiries just invoice you with charges and bills.They don’t care about their customers especially when your leaving their service.

They provided no evidence in regards to what was asked and avoided answering my questions to justify this bill.
They are only interested in taking money not the customers interest.

The complaint was escalated to BVLRA which are a waste of time they side them as they are a paid member.They don’t throughly investigate and look into the complaint or work for the customers interest.

The complaint has been escalated to Trading Standards, Financial Ombudson.
This complaint will represent how badly they treat there customers and scam people previous/current as there is noticeably a pattern tracking back years with similar experiences.

Do not sign up with them go with a well established professional company like Enterprise who are less likely to rip you off.
You will end up spending more money then the lease.
Cheap lease deals by the end of it you end up paying double/triple in costs.
There is a clear and negative pattern how they treat their customers with 2.1 ratings on Yell.com and some bad reviews on Google, Trust pilot and Facebook all with the same complaints.

If I had known how bad the reviews were I would of never took out a lease with them but you don’t find out the other names of the company’ which are all connected to one company till after you have signed a contract with them!!

Do not trust this company they are a con and a joke they will mistreat you and you will be charged unnecessarily.
Customer service is unprofessional and they don’t know how to treat customers fairly.

The complaint is pending and will be investigated with the necessary bodies.

Was wary after review, however service was excellent and they did what they promised.

Car subscription type lease (rolling 28 days) prices competitive for short term leases (no up front rental) and new car, basic model, no issues.

Collection was managed well, good comms and fair wear and tear, in line with other leasing companies.

Deposit and credit rental refunded promptly.

Would use again, easy to work with and quick delivery of vehicle helped me out during a period of no car.

Generally they were ok. Prices were relatively competitive considering short lease time, which is why I went with them. But they then put the price up mid-way through the lease, and they also charged me for the admin of forwarding a couple of letters for traffic violations. But they were so late in forwarding these that the price of the fine had already gone up. Pre-sales service was good. After sales service was very bad. Unless you have to, I'd use someone else next time.

After researching makes and models of cars for hire, I decided on short term lease rather than hire as it was cheaper.
I have short term leased 2 cars from Autohorn in the past, and have just ordered a 3rd short term lease.
The service from beginning to end has been flawless.

I hope people read my review before they rent I have all documents against this company don’t think you are saving when you see good deal here this guys will charge you for fake things take your money!!

255 pound for this attached photos issue what I didn’t do

I rented Skoda from them from start it was awful I got used car no problem with this , but the issue the car is basic and it has problem that Engin stop while car driving with this stupid on off Engin option, it was bad because they are in York and I am in London , I decided to return the car in one month , when they come to collect the car they inspected it like they give me new car when he get car the guy say nothing , in 3 days they reported not scratched something like door touch something it’s only 3mm something hardly you can see from door side I am not sure if I got the car like this or they did it , also they reported car paint issue , like paint for 3cm had issue ( it’s 2021 car must be under warranty if car had paint issue )

They charge me 420 pound , after many emails and calls to sales girl Ms Holly and other guys in company, of-curse one throw me to other , they said Manager agree to remove 165 pound still 255 pound they took from me extra,

Not only this after I return the car they try to take extra rent from my bank account 2 times

1- How on earth I can be responsible for quality of car paint !!!! If this issue not they did it to car car manufacturer responsible about this bad quality.

2- the guy who took the car he drove it so maybe he hit something how inspection can’t be infornt of me.

3- the guy bring the car to me only show me around and tolls and petrol level he didn’t ask me to check the car the way they did after collect,

It’s not about money but I don’t think this will go away , I am filling compline and I will take legal action

I even offer them to waive all charge and keep my money and later I take car from them , they decline they just want to take my money for fake reasons

Worst company I have ever leased a car with. Do not use this company - I cannot stress this enough. They make their money by carrying out a check for damage before you give it back. You then sign to say you agree with the damage only to then get a email after they’ve taken it back saying you owe more money ‘cos they’ve found more damage’. They also take money out your bank without your permission even after you’ve finished your contract an cancelled time the direct debit using the card details you have to gave when you first signed. Absolute scam DO NOT use this company.
They also took an extra months money despite the fact my contract had ended !!!

I used Autohorn for a short term rental whilst waiting for a delayed company car. I looked after the car and Autohorn looked after me. The service was great, there were no surprizing costs .... I strongly recommend based on my personal experience.

Following my first negative review I have to say that I received a quick response from the Fleet Manager at Autohorn who dealt with my complaint promptly, and in a professional manner immediately arranging the refund whilst a review of their process is carried out.
Whilst my initial experience was very poor I have to give the company credit for quickly dealing with it once it had come to the attention of senior management.

PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Shocking service and purely taking advantage of customers for no reason!! I was told to come before 6pm to collect my car so I did.. to then be told it was not ready (as the previous customer extended the hire) I the. asked for them to call me, (which they failed to do so and rather sent an email at 5.45pm to say the car was ready and to make my way. (Excuse being they never had a number to call me on). I got there being few mins late.. and on top of already being there earlier and calling a number of times they still had the cheek to charge me £60 extra for collecting after hours (talking minutes). On top of that giving my ID which has my details and name.. they book the car in my brothers name :/ (because they are clever like that) then you expect to pay out of hours service for what?? Booking the wrong driver 👏🏽... only had one job!

Furious and no response or reaction from the branch manager Clair Bruce.. clearly unapproachable and was only backing her colleague up Georgina to make out they run a great branch!
