We have rented a car at Autohorn in August. The car was perfect, everything went well. I was very impressed with the service provided, very friendly and professional, I highly recommend Autohorn and will definitely use them again! Thank you!

Its easy to book a car online. I've hired twice from Autohorn and both times it was so easy. The last time I needed to extend for a day and it wasn't a problem at all. Friendly service. Cars always clean inside and out. Definitely will hire again next time I come home to York

Very good communication considering I am in Canada. Great location at York Train Station for us. All went as planned. I would give 5 stars but the final bit of assistance from counter attendant wasn’t great. He was hungry and wouldn’t wait for me to confirm the car was proper.

Sarah was very helpful, guiding us through all the required steps. It helped to speed the process up. We switched from another hire co because she could get a car to us quicker

Honestly had such a great experience with Autohorn! I needed a car pretty urgently for work and Sarah was an absolute star – super helpful from the get-go and really looked after my account. She quickly sent over a bunch of options that matched exactly what I needed and had something ready for me in no time.

The car is fab, the handover was smooth, and the whole thing just felt really easy. Their depot is really accessible, loads of space, easy to find, and the whole team are just lovely – really friendly and always quick to help. Every time I’ve had a question or needed something, someone’s been straight on it.

Autohorn had exactly the right vehicle for my needs and made it available at a reasonable price out of office hours. The vehicle was nearly new and spotlessly clean. Service was friendly and professional. Highly recommended!

I was honestly surprised to see a few negative reviews, as my experience with Autohorn was excellent from start to finish. My brand-new BYD was delivered free to my London address — right on time and in pristine condition. The car itself was fantastic, and the service matched.

Jon was responsive and helpful with all my questions, and the accounts team were a pleasure to deal with — efficient and friendly.

If I had one small suggestion, it would be for the delivery driver to give a quick walkthrough of the car’s features before handing over the keys, especially for those of us new to electric vehicles.

That aside, I’m a pretty detail-focused (some might say picky!) customer — and I’m happy to give Autohorn a full five stars.

This company are a bunch of charlatans
They sent the car filthy dirty and then even though I put in the vehicle condition report the car arrived dirty and unable to identify any damage they still charged 100's of pounds for what was a tiny 3mm chip when they sent they sent through the report turned into a dent
You have the right to report to the FCA and FOS this type of behaviour. They charged £50 for delivery and then nearly double on return. They will conjure up anything ton try and charge -PLEASE BE AWARE DON'T TOUCH THEM AND TAKE NOTE OF THE OTHER 1 STAR REVIEWS

She guided me through the entire process with great clarity and efficiency — from discussing available options, arranging the BMW iX2 for me, handling the finance application, to coordinating all necessary checks and documentation.

Her communication was consistent and clear at every stage, which made what could have been a stressful experience entirely smooth and stress-free.

Despite some tight deadlines, Sarah ensured everything was ready in time and even managed to schedule delivery exactly when I needed it. She went above and beyond to support me, including helping with insurance guidance and providing vehicle images on request — all done with warmth, efficiency, and genuine care.

Absolutely the Worst Car Subscription Service I’ve Ever Used – Avoid at All Costs

After eight years of using car subscription services – including Pivotal, Europcar, Sixt, and Onto – I can say without hesitation that Flexed (Autohorn) is by far the worst I’ve ever dealt with.

From the moment I subscribed, it was a battle. Their approach is riddled with hidden charges, fabricated invoices, and appalling customer service. You’ll spend more time fighting off unjustified bills than actually enjoying the car. Every minor detail becomes a chargeable offense, and unless you comb through each invoice with a fine-tooth comb, you’ll get stung.

Jon from their finance department deserves a special mention – and not in a good way. His tactics are both unprofessional and dishonest. On multiple occasions, I was told that he had sent emails and made calls which he clearly hadn’t. When asked to provide proof, there was none. I even have emails from him admitting billing mistakes – “Sorry, that was an error, thanks for pointing it out” – as if that’s acceptable after the fact.

If you’re not double-checking every penny, you’ll be paying for things that were never agreed upon. It’s exhausting, and frankly, unacceptable in 2025. I handed the car back after just over a month – despite being someone who regularly spends £1,000 to £1,500 per month on car subscriptions. That should say everything.

This is not a one-off bad experience. This is systematic incompetence at best and intentional profiteering at worst.

You’ve been warned. Steer well clear. There are far better, more transparent services out there.

Outstanding service from both Mark and Howard. Despite me booking the wrong date and turning up unannounced on a Saturday morning I was treated with courtesy and prompt efficiency and more importantly my booking was honoured and I was able to take a van to complete a job that I had scheduled in.

Effortless process and the best price for a superior car when compared with all rental companies in York. Charming staff.

Organising the booking in advance was easy, but they couldn't confirm which type of vehicle it would be (only that it would be Mercedes or Jaguar). They advised to call nearer the booking time, but even then didn't know. Checking the car out was great, the person on the desk took time out from their Christmas quiz and they were lovely. They didn't explain that there would be no-one there to hand the keys back to though and that we should post them, so had a bit of a kerfuffle at the end. Paid extra for what I thought was for someone to be there out of hours, but it wasn't. That's the only reason I took a star off. Will definitely use again, thank you x

We have rented from the York branch a number of times and were always very happy with the service, and the condition of the cars that we've gotten. Highly recommended!
