Hannah a gem, understood my plight when Jaguar let me down with a hire car. I had several vehicles over the next 6 weeks from Autohorn, each immaculate and handed over so quickly and most efficient. I would have no worries using Autonhorn in the future.

Receiving my car rental was simple and without any confusion. I didn't know the exact location of their premises for pick-up in the beginning, as a local resident of York but having never paid attention or needed their services. Thankfully, staff were helpful and easy in giving directions to locate the company's building near the Train Station. I have used the company for car rental and for holiday purposes on two occasions now. On one occasion I had a suspicion and query about speed monitoring on the car I was using. Staff were available immediately to help and offer me their knowledge of the car I was using and their services to assure me their was no speed monitoring device fitted in the car. I wanted to extend the duration of my rental whilst out, and again this was made easy by just a quick phone call. The cars are kept clean and maintained to a great standard. This was reassuring and made my trip convenient and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to consider using Autohorn again in the future.

The car I hired was low mileage, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Autohorn were very flexible in allowing me to extend the hire period. Everything proceeded with the minimum of fuss and there were no problems at all.

As car rental companies go, Autohorn is a cut above the national/international chains. Helpful and flexible. I have rented a couple of times at York station, and the service and vehicle are excellent. The location is a lot better than the sole alternative in York. The only negative is the restricted opening hours, which I am sure could easily be solved by extending the arrangement they appear to have with the left luggage office, with which they share space and which is open for much longer hours. I would not expect to pay extra to benefit from this, as the opening hours would then be aligned with the competition.

I asked to change the car that had been allocated to me as I didn’t want a hybrid vehicle . It was no problem at all and a new (and I mean new , 9 miles on the clock ) vehicle was provided
Georgina was extremely helpful at all stages of the process . She wasn’t however present when I collected the car and I expected that someone would just run through the basics, however, I was given the keys and told where to find the car.I returned the car at the allotted time and again, no one checked the condition. It was however, a very straightforward process and all the staff I dealt with a very friendly and helpful I would use them again.

At 9pm on Monday morning, with somewhere to be at 12, Enterprise refused to let me rent the car I'd booked weeks before due to one of their absurd "identity checks", all the while their staff gave me no more than "computer says no"-level answers.

I was only able to avoid an absolute disaster because of Autohorn's flexibility and willingness to help at very short notice, all at a very reasonable cost. I will always be grateful to them.

Read the small print and ensure you take photos of the mileage on collection and return. They tried to say I had done over 1000 more miles than i actually had. They told me on collection the excess mileage would be calculated one way and then following the vehicle return calculated it another way. Then when I disputed this they just took the money from my account without authority. Very sharp practice and will certainly not be using them again. Also delivery and collection charges very expensive

there are some really alarming penalties in there. I Recently rented a car to cover 6 week period. The first car supplied smelled strongly of weed. They replaced after 2 weeks. At the end of the rental I found that I have gone over the agreed mileage, and I was happy to pay an excess. This turned out to to 80p per mile! With the £200 return delivery, I paid around £900 just to return the car. A really expensive mistake, my own fault I know, but there certainly are hidden costs.

We hired the car after arriving by train. The location was convenient, although signs and directions in the station would be helpful to assist in finding the office. The collection of the car was smooth and simple. Drop off was also easy. I would recommend taking photos of the car at collection and drop off as no one comes out to check the car. They did take 19 working days to cancel our pre-authorised amount rather than 7 to 10 days as promised.(after I reminded them). The staff were friendly and helpful.

Similar to the reviewer just before me, my wife and I took a train to York and then needed a car to get out to the moors. We had such an easy experience with Autohorn, the car worked great, and they even let us keep the car parked in the lot for a few hours the first day while we went and had lunch. Great service, no hassle, fair prices. Strong recommendation.

We booked a car so we could see the area around York. We had a kerfuffle finding the office due to Queen Street construction, but once there, staff were helpful and got us on the road adventuring. The car was excellent and drop off a breeze. Would recommend.

This company couldn't have been more helpful! Sent someone out to Clifton Moor on a Saturday to enable us to check out the car. Car in pristine condition with only 4 miles on the clock. Lady explained all the controls to us. No rush, and very competitive rates. Am hiring a car from them again this weekend.

We traveled by train to York, needed a car to go next leg. The Team here are super efficient, cars good quality, clean and their location is at the station, pricing reasonable. It was a great experience and will use again and can recommend.
