We have found Aster very good, had a few issues & have mostly been dealt with very well, we have 2 issues that can't be resolved

We were very disappointed with the Defects Team.
Their Communication was very poor towards their Home Owners & No Follow Up to Check if the Defects had been Rectified.
We felt that their Care towards their Home Owner Customers was none existent, they Certainly don’t live up to the expectations that they portray in their advertisements about Supporting their Community.

Moved into the property 7 months ago. Communication has been extremely slow if not non existent. Maintenance outside of the property is still due to be sorted. Higher management are extremely rude and have no time for you. They also expect you to spend your evenings trying to contact them despite being at work all day.

Everything I needed help or explanation of how anything worked, the aster team were there to help me out and explain everything to me. They were very helpful and made the whole process smooth.

Although my house is lovely and in the perfect location, 7 months in I am still waiting for new kitchen worktops, I’ve had my brick work need pointing, kitchen cupboard doors fall of the hinges weeks into moving in, side to the bath not even cut to length, bricks not fitted correctly by the front door and constant arguments with aster over it being damage. Having spoke directly to persimmons they advised me that the only reason they class it as damage is the fact aster didn’t pick it up before the exchange of keys. Therefore wasn’t noticed as a snag! Finally we are getting somewhere but that is after threatening to get independent people in and billing aster and also having to get Rebecca Pow involved

Well from the word go documents haven’t been done correctly. I almost missed out on the house because someone didn’t put the details across right. The solicitor that was recommended was useless. Constantly asking if you needed other information and was told “no you have everything” to find out weeks later the sale is held up because your waiting for me to send you more information, ridiculous. Being told one thing and then another. Being giving information months later about my house and Aster rules after the sale has gone through and I’v already moved in. Giving me only 7 days for me to send my defects to you yet doing next to nothing to rectify issues over a year later. Still waiting for things to actually get looked at. Making appointments for workmen’s to turn up that never do. Or find out that workmen’s have been and I wasn’t home (I wasn’t informed I had an appointment or cancellation) on a number of occasions. I’m self employed so to take time off and have no shows is not acceptable. When workmen’s have turned up they have made some jobs worse and I’v had to take further time off for someone to come again to rectify. The lack of communication, help, and explanation is awful. I will never recommend Aster or buy with Aster again. Not to forget I also had no one introduced me to my home, show me how things work. And to blame it on lockdown when half the time was wasn’t in a lockdown. Never calling back when they say they will. I still have a roof that makes excessive noise, exterior doors that let in water (still have bare concrete floors because of this otherwise my flooring would get damaged and cost a fortune to replace) fence that is about to fall down, a shed that is rotten and leaks, brand new kitchen appliances that are rusty, I could go on. My contract stated when I leave I have to leave floor coverings, yet non was supplied to me!
Needless to say I am not a happy customer

The sales process was very smooth and efficient at the early stages but it slowed down thereafter and I had to chase the sales team all the time about updates and information.

Not a great experience. Took a while to get any answers and had to chase several times. We are still awaiting news on our grass being cut and the items that have been completed we still get asked if they have been completed yet.

Aster have been absolutely awful from the start. I have had nothing but problems. And the sales representative I started my purchase with was rude and arrogant.

My boyfriends gas has not worked for roughly 2 months now, we have both separately rang up Aster countless times to arrange someone to come and repair it, it has repeatedly been pushed back by Aster. An emergency repair was scheduled today by my boyfriend, who is currently at work expecting this to be fixed so he can, after 2 months, have a hot shower in his own home, not too much to ask wouldn’t you say? I was here when Aster turned up, in pretty high spirits thinking this will be resolved and my boyfriend can come home to a warm flat to relax in (basic human necessities I think we can all agree). Upon arrival the man quickly points out we are due a gas service check, & that the gas meter is capped (things Aster have already been made aware of) & therefore ‘he doesn’t have time’ to resolve both of these things today & has rescheduled once again another repair for Monday. Let me get this straight, you don’t have time to carry out a job that you’re being paid to carry out? You were called out on behalf of the company to fix this particular issue, you are driving an Aster van, wearing an Aster shirt, representing the company, but ‘don’t have time’ to provide any legitimate service for the company you are ‘working’ for. What are you doing all day then? Turning up on people’s doorsteps to stand there with your Aster badge on and look pretty? If you want to talk about not having enough time…myself and my boyfriend don't have enough time to continuously chase you guys up to fix something you have been made aware of for a long while now, for you to insist on pushing back further. It would be interesting to see how that man would feel if he didn’t have access to a warm shower, the ability to wash his own clothes or dishes in his own home for over 2 months. Not to mention it’s now November, pretty damn cold outside. I don’t expect any worthwhile response from Aster in writing this, just making anyone that is curious aware that these people are just about as useful as a concrete parachute.
