Appelboom Anmeldelser

I ordered a Pelikan M1000 Renaissance Brown on Tuesday this week, including a nib tune and smooth, and it was delivered to me, in London, on Friday morning. Beautifully packaged, an excellent service.

Did I get what I wanted?
Yes. An Opus 88 with a custom nib and the nib (a broad Architect) is amazing: Smooth and good line variation, in case I want to sketch with it - the nibsmith's work is to be recommended.

The pen was lovingly packaged with ribbons and what not - totally appropriate for the fountain pen enthusiast and come on - every customer WANTS to be pampered with a bit of visual knick-knacks.

The total waiting time was a bit over a month;
- the pen was not in stock
- the nibsmith came down with an ailment

In other words: Life happened, which most of us are accustomed to. In the meantime, client service with the boss himself was excellent, so I always knew about the when and whats of my future pen.

In the end, I am a happy customer with a lovely new fountain pen.

Amazing package and customer service!
Thank you for the lovely extra touches with my order. I bought the Leonardo Momento Magico in EF (with custom nib tuning and smoothing) + additional ink. It took only 3 days from Netherlands to Australia, when it was ready to ship. So impressed when the I opend the box - beautifully and so neatly wrapped with lovely paper and the golden Appelbloom logo. All was perfectly intact and well packaged. The bonus was two Stroopwafel mini sweets which we enjoyed so much! It was a lovely added touch from the Netherlands, considering the distance this package went. Thank you so much Joost for answering all my questions about the package, so helpfully! I will definitely be buying from Appelbloom again and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality and care.

Great experience. I had an email exchange with Mr. Joost before placing my order, he was very helpful. Once I placed my order I received it in a few days with international shipping. The pen I received is beautiful. This will be my store for any future pen purchases.

My third different pen purchase in the last couple of months. I would’ve hesitated buying an Italian pen if not for the nib tune and smooth service. The Leonardo Officina Dodici arrived carefully packaged and the nib perfectly tuned. Even though Appelboom is across the pond, it feels like a local store.

Absolutely wonderful experience.
I asked for my nib to be tuned, they did exactly as I asked.
Great price, great communication, easy ship to USA via DHL.
VERY highly recommend.

As ever, a brilliant experience. Joost is helpful, knowledgeable and a pleasure to engage with. What a great company. My pen was well packaged, arrived promptly and the tune-up to the nib is a delight. Thanks so much!

Appelboom Pennenspeciaalzaak provided a timely delivery, with the pens carefully packed in a chic Appelboom box and decorative paper. From order to delivery, the contact with Appelboom Pennenspeciaalzaak has been timely and accurate. The pens were sent in the exact specification I asked for (engravings, nib sizes). Highly recommended company!

I would like to highlight the excellent service that Appelboom offers. All my purchases have been hassle-free, with fast delivery. I highly recommend Appelboom for your stationery purchases.

Great collection of fountain pens from around the world. One stop shop for a fountain pen enthusiast. Competitive pricing. Great customer support. Have enjoyed shopping for last 4 years. Keep up the tempo. Big Shout-out for Joost and his team.

Great service and communication, awesome place for buying. Always very satisfied!

The pen I ordered came beautifully wrapped and right on time. It was so helpful to be able to track the delivery, and a real pleasure to open the package and see the pen, which is exquisite. Plus, there were two stroopwafels tucked in with it!

Ordered my first Benu Pen, a Talisman Lily of the Incas. It wrote perfectly right from the box. Very pleased with my pen and Appelboom's service. Thank you.

The OH #08 arrived yesterday. A unique and gorgeous fountain pen. Beautifully designed and machined to perfection, with a discernible heft, durability, and overall premium quality. I inked it today and its Fine 18K gold nib is a smooth, not too wet / not too dry writer. The #08 is now a member of my ‘Holy Grail’ pens, as well as my top 3 fountain pen writers.

As for Appelbloom, this was my first order. Premium service, good prices, and prompt delivery - in short, a superb shopping experience. ***** 100% recommended.

Undoubtedly one of the best online shopping experiences I've ever had. The prices are excellent, and customer service is super responsive. I am based in the United States, and this shop is located in Amsterdam - It took TWO DAYS to get my items. This is unbelievable!

Two things I'd also like to mention is the attention to detail, and the "little" things. Everything was packaged perfectly, and the company even included a few bite-sized stroopwafels - I know, just a few little snacks is no big deal to most people, but it was a really nice touch and a tasty little treat.

Thanks again for everything, and I look forward to buying from your shop again in the future.

I have been saving for a grail pen for a while and when ready I was going to order one from APPELBOOM. The pen I ordered was not in stock and any time I had question about my order I was answered in a short time even in the middle of the night it seems! Great product and great customer service, will bring me back to this store even if it’s overseas! And the Nib specialist set up the pen and it is simply the best experience to write with! So if you have a chance to order a pen or something from APPELBOOM do it without apprehension this is a great store and great people work there!!
