Appelboom Anmeldelser

Packages are packed well, inside everything is wrapped nicely and gives a beautiful gift opening experience.
Shipping is quick.

Website showed exactly what was in stock, ordering process seamless, and dispatch prompt.

Great communication, prompt service.

A very knowledgeable and reliable retailer. Fast delivery and excellent customer service. Always a pleasure! :)

Shopping at Appelboom was a great experience. They have an excellent selection and very reasonable prices. What impressed me most was the friendly and efficient support: the owner himself helped me resolve an issue when I had accidentally ordered an item that wasn't in stock and couldn't wait for the 2-3 weeks it would have taken for them to receive it. My order arrived safely, well packed and protected against damage. I am very happy with my purchases.

Everything was great from the fountain pen, to shipping and customer service. Absolutely outstanding

It was very quick and smooth. I am particular happy about this purchase as I previously had trouble making payment with Appelboom with a urushi pen from Scribo. Unlike last time, all went smooth and very happy.

I ordered a Yard-O-Led Grand Martelé from Appelboom and the whole experience was excellent. Communication was friendly, clear and genuinely pleasant throughout. The pen arrived perfectly packaged, safe and in pristine condition, exactly as you would hope for a fine writing instrument. This wasn’t my first order with Appelboom and it certainly won’t be the last. Highly recommended.

I like Conklin fountain pens but sometimes, in my experience the nibs and therefore the quality of writing has let them down. However I ordered a Conklin fusion pen from appelboom and asked for the nib to be tuned before delivery to the UK. It arrived very quickly and well packaged with a fine nib that writes excellently. My previous orders from Appelboom have also been a good experience and i would be more than happy to order other Conklin pens again with a request ( small fee to pay. ) to have the nib tuned.

Verpaking. Netjes, beschermt, zo veel beter dan de standaard grijze doos of envelope :). En verzonden met PostNL, die nog meest betrouwbare bezorger blijk te zijn.

A few things made my experience great. One, the selection (of fountain pens- which is why I went to this site) is amazing! They have pens that I can't find elsewhere. Two, the prices, even with paying overseas duties, was extremely competitive and many times, significantly less than online retailers here in the US. Three, the delivery was lightning fast! Considering my items were coming from Amsterdam to Ohio in just 3 days- Appelboom is setting a standard that retailers in the US should adopt. Joost was very prompt in answering my questions regarding inventory, selections, and shipping...so 5 stars are well deserved! Thank you!

Good morning,

I received the pen. It’s excellent and absolutely beautiful.
Apart from the initial delay, everything went smoothly.
If import taxes here in Brazil weren’t so high, I would certainly buy more pens.

Warm regards!

Mooie online winkelbeleving! Fijne website, zeer prompte communicatie en met liefde en aandacht ingepakt. Aanrader!

Have been ordering from Appelboom for about 2 months now and a total of about 5 rollerballs and fountainpens in all. Shipments to Canada have been fast and free and easy to track. All arrived within 5 days of ordering.
Placed one order that was not available and Appelboom promptly agreed to my request for another pen instead and then refunded the difference, unasked. That is the essence of integrity and the standard of professionalism in business. Most communication has been answered within half a day which is just unreal, given the time difference of 9 hrs between us!
Appelboom carries a huge range of pens and has an extensive web site that makes selection easy. I love dealing with them. It also helps that their pricing is very competitive, especially for a repeat customer and their web site quotes in Cdn. dollars for me so this is most helpful. The owner, Joost Appelboom, also runs a great youtube site and I feel that I know him personally now - ! LOL! He has yet to offer me a job though!
I highly recommend Appelboom for the range of product, for competitive pricing, for prompt and professional service. Will deal with them anytime because they have demonstrated their integrity and honesty towards a customer.

Prompt, good communication,
AND you wrapped the pen as a gift.
Very thoughtful snd generous.
A delight.

Excellent selection and service. Very attentive to an issue I am having with delivery. Not Appleboom’s issue, courier delivered to an incorrect address. Joost and the team are working on a solution for me. Being so responsive really is a testament to their service!

The transaction was seamless. The website is very easy to navigate. The price was very good, compared to buying in my own country (UK). And i was pleasantly surprised that the price at checkout was actually the final price, including the uk import tax. No additional monetary surprises from uk customs. The pen(s). Ive bought 2 now (separate transactions) from Appleboom, both arrived in 2 days from the Netherlands. Care was put into the packaging. Pen(s) were protected. Overall I cannot fault Appleboom for anything. I would, and probably will, happily buy from them again.

Great selection. Engraving looks fantastic. Quick turnaround & shipping to Canada. My fav spot to purchase my Lamy Safari pens!
