The ability to navigate around the site is excellent, and the security protocols are solid.

Several investments went into default (bankruptcy). Others have not performed and are years past projected return dates.

I would stay far away from investing with this company.

This company has made a series of major missteps on due diligence, which have resulted in losses to investor principal for multiple offerings. Their marketing is shiny and sleek, but behind the curtains it's an operation that preys on and markets to unsophisticated investors who don't know better. They fooled me, through which I learned painful lessons having lost my hard earned money.

Great home for diversifying into alternative investments

Absolutely terrible. Scants returns on so-called flagship Prism, no returns on Alternative REIT despite investing in real estate where there’s monthly cash flow.
Complete scam.

If you’re okay with burning your money to make bbq steaks, you’d at least get a good meal which is more than I can say about Yieldstreet

Yieldstreet website and interface is very good. However, their due diligence process for lending is so poor or non existent. Borrower can totally disappear, Yieldstreet has absolutely no way to get your money back.

I invested in their Supply Chain offering for 6 month term. It has been over 20 months and the borrower hasn't paid a single dollar principal back, forget the interest. The borrower filed for bankruptcy and Yieldstreet has no way to recover any money. Wonder what collateral and credit check YS did, Yieldstreet is not able to recover a single dollar.

I would strongly recommend staying away from Yieldstreet. Do not invest in this platform.

I would also agree with what I have seen on here about Yieldstreet claiming that a fund is performing when it is not. In the prism fund, it will pay the dividends but then loses NAV. To the best of my ability to tell, I invested $20k and made $1.5k in 3 years factoring both NAV and dividends. Sometimes that happens and that’s okay but you can’t say that this fund is performing as expected, which is supposed to be 8% net annually. That’s not acceptable nor honest. Be honest and own your full results not what you select to report. Fortunately, in this past year, I have been able to get about 75% out but it is a slow process. I am not impressed with the performance, liquidity and transparency though and will eventually take my money elsewhere. Illiquid investments are okay to invest in but they should be higher performing than their liquid counterparts and have impeccable transparency, and this is not the case. It feels more like gambling than investing.

Bait and switch is the strategy. Current investor. I invested the money in the Growth and REIT fund in Aug (only 4 months ago). The management by its own acknowledgement knew about prevailing market macro-economic conditions and even then promoted the fund with target 11-12% and when it came to paying dividends - we are told there will no dividends due to these conditions. This is simply unacceptable. Another REIT fund where I invested in late 2021 also promised quarterly dividends as income and it's more than 2 years and not a dime of dividends have been paid. This is horrendous and simply unacceptable.

Absolute garbage management. I have no idea how my REIT investment is losing money here when literally everything else I have invested everywhere else is pulling in solid returns, especially real estate. Their staff could lose money running the proverbial cathouse.

Edit June 2024: My multi-family housing investment is now almost certainly gone into thin air. I haven't been paid a dime in interest or dividends on any investment at any point, I'm completely unable to withdraw any money even at penalty, and I have lost about half of the significant principal I invested with them. This is literally a criminal enterprise, and I'll be happy when the SEC finally sends them to prison.

Opening account was easy to do. Everything is available online or via the app for opening an account and making an investment. Staff is knowledgeable and responsive. While I need not need to call, I received accurate and prompt feedback.

This recent experience with the Growth and Income REIT highlights the dangers of blindly trusting advertised "target rates." Investors deserve honest and transparent information, not misleading promises. Be wary of investment "target rates" that paint an unrealistic picture. My case in point: the Growth and Income REIT. They lured investors with promises of 11-12% returns, even though they were already well aware of the precarious economic climate. Despite facing known economic hardships like high interest rates and a slumped property market and acknowledging that they knew about this, they continued to promote 11-12% returns. When the time came to pay dividends, they conveniently blamed the economic challenges for their failure to deliver. This deliberate misinformation, even when they were aware of the negative environment, is a huge red flag. Lower returns are expected, but outright fabricating information betrays investor trust. When reality caught up, they blamed their empty promises on external factors, conveniently ignoring their own prior knowledge. This blatant disregard for transparency is inexcusable. My trust is broken, and will let others decide on their own when it comes to the level of trust for such investments. This lack of transparency raises serious concerns about their trustworthiness. No more investments for me here!

The website is well organized and easy to navigate. The timing tracked what was stated and periodic emails as milestones were reached was appreciated.

As you grow, it would be great to integrate with other sites for data sharing (such as Quicken, Morningstar, etc).

Yield Street is the worst online crowd sourcing investment platform period. I lost $$$ and they won’t even close the accounts so I can have a write off. The reason they do this is so they can claim average returns of 9%. If they included all the defaults it would be 2%. Run away from this company.

The company doesn't make explicitly clear before investing that it is EXTREMELY difficult to get your money back when you want it, and to do so one must jump through many hoops. Even then, the manager is not required to allow divestment & pay out until they've had your money for 5 years.

I like the options given by yield street. Like the historical performance and expect the same to continue.

I had some anxiety about sending tax documents over the internet but everything seems to have worked out. I am looking forward to learning more about what Yieldstreet has to offer.

Stay away. Absolutely. I had success with YS in from 2019-2021 and then unfortunately invested into a group of projects at the start of 22 which clearly explained that distributions will be quarterly. I have gotten zero returns 18 months later and they claim the investments are performing.

It's so shady it makes me sick to my stomach. I am a "diamond" investor with them so I have a contact and my questions are met with condescending diversion tactics. Deflecting the question and acting as if I don't understand.

The dishonesty in reporting information is more than troubling. There is no way they are not aware that they are misinforming investors and yet they keep doing it. Of course investments can lose money but when the investment firm flatly invalidates their own expectations as they defined them in their own investment memorandum it's impossible to trust them in anything.

I wish I had never gotten involved.

3+ investments went south. Website reporting is terrible and it's extremely difficult to get in contact with support. Clearly the diligence is suspect as well. Waiting on last investment in court for last 15+ months and not hopeful will return any of my principal.

Run, don't walk, away from this site. Had 2 investments, one of which went to 0$ after a few months and the other hasn't paid interest in over a year. I don't think these guys know anything about many of the deals that they offer.

i put in 5k and wanted to dissolve. so every 3-6 months i have to wait for them to give me some of my money back. I didn't make any money but they make it look like you did. don't use them....the worst.
