The buying experience is much better than retail. These guys have a huge knowledge base and experience with almost every world percussion brand on the market and have used many first hand. When you call them you are talking to real drummers who use this gear every day, not some overseas call center taking orders. The item I ordered was out of stock and time sensitive and these guys were willing to bend over backwards to do whatever they could to make it right. I was originally expecting them to be biased toward their own private labeled brand, but it is definitely not the case. The customer service is top notch and they are great with taking calls, staying on top of orders, and following up on things. I would highly recommend these guys if you are in the market for anything world percussion related.

I ordered this didge to compare with my home made sticks,bamboo and pvc. I like the sound and pitch, easy to play,nice looking. Bore needed cleaning,may modify mouthpiece a bit. Over all nice instrument

I've used Remo drums in the classroom for 30 years. This helped me decide what would be a lasting present for a six year old going on 16 years old! Willem's mind is going a mile a minute and he knows what he prefers. His teacher used a djembe and Willem will love this Birthday early Christmas surprise!

Hard to say what's best about these guys: Prices, Selection ,Great customer service, AND they keep improving their own name-brand drums. Bought one of their fiberglass djembes a few years back and ended up giving iit to a cousin. Last week I finally re-decided to buy the same drum again for myself - same name, same good price, but the head sounds even better than before!

X8 has organized its many products well so they are easy to find. In the past I had some trouble with checkout (and particularly with Google Chrome), but these problems seem to have been solved. I still, however, find the checkout page a little busy, and the "Contact" floating button at the bottom is annoying.

I forgot my password and requested a new one. I believe it is a mistake to allow me to type in my email address; passwords should only be sent to the email of record. Allowing this permits a hacker who knows or guesses a user id to enter his/her email and get a new password sent to his email, not to the account holder's. This is a security flaw that should be corrected.

Bought a couple of Djembe's and they are excellent quality. The service was great!!!

I really can't wait to receive my didgeridoo and I think I paid a great price for it. What sucked was dealing with the UPS website. They asked for an electronic signature before they could ship my product. I made an account, couldn't really navigate the site well or understand why they needed that. I never did any electronic signing but it says I should expect my deliver on Monday...so I hope it is on it's way..

I ordered a Djembe drum. I was able to find what I wanted very quickly. It is a user friendly website with easy navigation. Has video samples of different experts playing the drums. Received the drum in good shape.Took a little longer than I thought for the delivery.. It is in great shape.. Saw some YouTube videos of lessons and started playing now..

thanks to kristin of x8 drums, i am the happy owner and enjoyer of my very own kalimba! the sounds of a kalimba are beautiful and mesmerizing. anyone can produce some lovely tones on one - i find playing it very therapeutic. true, it's challenging to tune a kalimba the first time; but it only needs to be tuned once, and if you can't do it yourself, you can most likely find someone to help you.
i had a little trouble getting the kalimba i wanted at first, but the x8 drums team was very responsive. i sent an email and got immediate assistance - kristin was very helpful and even sent me a lovely followup snail mail note. thank you, kristin!

I do not like having to scroll all the way up to the top edge of the home page to get to what I want when shopping!! (E.E.) Try hand percussion and then try and see if you can go all the way down to 'Tambourines'. I have to scroll the page all the up just to try and reach it? I liked the large pictures of the items, rather the slightly magnified version. Everything looks brighter, modern, and easier to use except my complaint. Good job x8, keep the good deals up, and your ability to have at least the items in stock, beats the competition,(E.E. lonestar Percussion). Thank for your time and efforts, Martin Belieff.
