I only wish there were negative stars but I had to give it 1 star. Purchased a kitchen at start of February 2025 removed my old kitchen in the 4 week time frame before fitting as requested long story short my kitchen was completed on the 16th of December worst experience of our lives took all the excitement out of our new 26k kitchen all I say is stay away don't touch don't even consider these bunch of absolute morons kitchen designer Rory got fired as a result of all his mess ups with us but still had to wait for new designer to be employed bought the kitchen in Blackpool Cork city and while we were up in a heap even tuners cross kitchen designers refused to get involved even though they all worked for the 1 company a complete shit show of an organisation I have dates receipts and videos to prove my reviews and anyone with questions on how incompetent woodies kitchens are do not hesitate to contact me I would love nothing more than to post my details with this review but I would probably be the one to get in trouble not woodies again my advise spend a little bit more it will be well worth it. Anyone else with the same experience please post on woodies reviews and maybe we get together and really drive this on for people not to be conned by this absolute moronic organisation.

False advertising with lots of items! on their website they state they have the items for click and collect and when you arrive to pick up, they cannot produce the items. So many wasted journeys and not much apologies. Staff tell me that system incorrect since last August and nothing been done to rectify it. So it's a case of 'no regard for customers' who like myself have given them years of business (interior design business) and never again will I step foot in any of their branches. Shame on you Woodies and it might do you good to take some advice from some of the other many stores around who provide excellent and HONEST service for their customers!!!! Triona Timmins

I bought a cylinder of gas in January at woodies in kilkenny city. The cylinder is faulty as it has no flow of gas. Ive double checked the regulator with another cylinder and it works. When i attempted to return the gas cylinder i was told they could do nothing as i had no proof of purchase. As i paid cash I could not prove the purchase. even tho I have been a loyal customer for many years. The customer service could identify me as a past and loyal customer but the manager would not accept this. I had to leave with a faulty gas cylinder with zero customer satisfaction. I will also be bring this up with callor gas as I believe this is a dangerous product.

We recently bought a kitchen from Woodie's in Castlebar and it is perfect. Abaigeal is absolutely gifted at what she does. Her ideas, her planning and her attention to detail are second to none. From day one she made the whole process so easy. She knew exactly what would suit the space and helped us with our options. The date she gave us for delivery is the date it arrived on. I would also like to compliment Michael who fitted our kitchen. He worked quickly and efficiently and his skill and workmanship is outstanding. He did all he could to help us and like Abaigeal made the whole process so easy. We would highly recommend both Abaigeal and Michael. They are great assets to Woodie's. Thanks to Woodie's too, the kitchen is of great quality, strong and durable. The Woodie's team contacted us many times to confirm delivery etc and Abaigeal has kept in contact ensuring all is in order. Thanks Abaigeal and Micheal.

Don't buy a lawnmower in woodies.
Same experience as other reviews. I couldn't get the parts to fix woodies prowlawnhitachi lawnmower because they stopped stocking them.
At least that lawnmower lasted 4 years and always started over that period.
They don't stock replacement parts for long enough considering a lawnmower can last much longer than 4 yrs

I replaced it with the newer model prolawn hitachi lawnmower. It's inferior in every way, less power, cheap bucket design with plastic catches that won't last long.
Less than 12 months old
It's been repaired twice by 3rd party in the last year
Lawnmowers are simple design and tge engine should be bulletproof.

At least the old model always started

Went to woodies naas road and the staff member Geraldine was extremely helpful was a pleasure to deal with her and her assistant Nathan was very helpful too , Geraldine solved our problem very quickly.

Went shopping (Glasnevin Woodies) for some seed plants with my 3 year old twin children as they were excited about planting at their new house now the weather is finally starting to improve.
Half way through shopping my daughter asked me to use the toilet, I spoke to the nearest staff member and I was told there was no customer toilets (surely if the customer toilets aren't working that the staff toilets could be made available?)
Had to leave full trolley and bring them to a nearby service station, didn't go back.

My visit to Woodies, Sandyford today was extremely disappointing and far below the standard I’ve always experienced in this store. I approached the Customer Service desk to ask a question, but the female staff member walked away from me mid‑interaction to process a payment for someone who had been standing behind me. I was not acknowledged, prioritised, or spoken to, and when she eventually did address me, her tone was rude and hostile. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional.

What struck me most was that the behaviour of multiple staff members appeared purposeful and completely out of order, giving the impression that they were being instructed to engage with customers in this intrusive way. Staff were leaving their tills to intercept customers and scan items before customers even reached them, creating pressure rather than providing assistance. It felt aggressive rather than helpful, and entirely inconsistent with the calm, respectful service this store used to be known for.

This has always been one of my favourite Woodies locations because the regular staff have consistently been helpful, courteous, and professional. Today was the complete opposite. None of the staff on duty demonstrated the level of service I’ve come to expect, and the experience left me feeling ignored, undervalued, and uncomfortable as a customer.

I hope Woodies reviews both its staffing and its customer service practices, because the approach I experienced today was unacceptable and has made me seriously reconsider returning.

Feedback from an over 60's customer.
Just back from a shopping trip to Woodies Store.
Purchased 6 bags of garden compost and farmyard manure and had to man-handle these onto the trolley.
Why are these HEAVY goods not kept close to exits?
Next it came to washing my hands after handling wet, filthy bags and using the toilet. I was told by a staff member that "ALL CUSTOMER TOILETS are SEALED, but I can walk up the industrial estate to a private cafe and use their toilet facilities".
This isn't the first time Ive been in a woodies where the toilets "have been sealed". I'm sure Woodies maanagement / Grafton Group PLC will be able to give a perfectly plausible explanation for sealing off their toilets to paying customers but it's totally unacceptable. Lost customer here. I'll buy elsewhere from a company that will assist with heavy loads and have toilets open. We have choices. Shame on Woodies / Grafton Group PLC for closing their toilets across the country. Even having a Just A minute (JaM) card is pointless.

Drove to the woodies in Bray, to get a few party 🥳 balloons 🎈 at 5.35pm girl standing at the party section pick 3 balloons and when we went to pay till closed, asked the girl that was on customer service was it closed and she told us that yes its opens tomorrow again at 9am while the girl that was there prior 5mins ago busy chatting apparently they decide when they close the party section while when you go to carrickmine woodies they bend over backwards to help you. Will not be back in Woodies Bray anytime soon
Really disappointed in the Bray Woodies

I was in woodies in Wexford yesterday sat 14 feb, feeling down as it was Valentine’s Day… got served by a lovely man called James… he was so friendly, helpful and nice , he cheered up my whole day… thank u very much James … looks like u love your job in woodies ..

Just wanted to thank Aaron in Woodies Southern Cross in Bray today. Aaron was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me with my purchase. Very friendly, pleasant and professional. Thank you so much Aaron your customer service left me with a lasting impression, well done

Went in to buy..couple things..couldnt find..but lad there ..very helpful...got.on to earpiece straight away..brought me to location....likewise on till...very nice lad obliging..and very courtious.

Bought on line through tic tok some garden items, 93 euros, through there discount store, checked reviews and only so so, but as in no rush I proceeded, checked on line for one month only to be told they arrived, they didn’t, contacted woodies and was told there aware of fraudulent sites, on contacting my bank they confirmed the Merchant is real but won’t refund, so Woodies been aware still use them, buyers be aware and stay away from Woodies online.John D, Cork

We are just after having a kitchen installed. Our experience from day one has been excellent. Abaigeal in the Castlebar Store was our Consultant.
She was so knowledgeable and great at giving advice. Her time frame was on target. She is an asset to have on your team.
Fintan installed the kitchen. He to was excellent. He was so efficient and did a great job. We would have no problem recommending Abaigeal and her team at Woodies in Castlebar.

Just getting to write this review now it happen Christmas week in Woodies mullingar.. I just want to give a shout out to a guy called Paul who went above and beyond to help me find the item I was looking for.. as I don’t usually find the staff there any way friendly.. this guy was more than helpful a real nice guy.. I didn’t get what I was looking for in store got it on line..but thanks for trying ur very best Paul.

Terrible service if you ask a home delivery.
I have purchased 3 items, they we delivered 2 in separate occasions and in my neighbours house, even though we have someone at home waiting for the item.
The purchase happened 1/01 and suppose to have 5 days delivery.. it is 17th of January it is not resolved.

Customer care contacted 12/01 replied my contact but didn't sort out the problem.
The number that came with the email saying the item was going to be delivered soon doesn't respond,
Head office does pick the call,
The local stores can not deal with the problem..
Waste of time, too much hassle, if you can avoid the home delivery..

Purchased a bookcase fair enough it got damaged in transit after many calls and emails they agreed to send a new one which they did but its not what i ordered. I've emailed twice and got no response..really poor service

Bought 3 items for click and collect, paid for them,but on arrival, found they had re sold items,bloody joke woodies,won't be shopping with you again

5 Star Customer Service by Adam at Woodies DIY, Airside, Swords

I called into Woodies, Airside Swords. Adam was the Sales Advisor who was absolutely excellent in his customer service, knowledge and friendly manner. Adam was extremely busy but looked after me so well. Other customers were asking loads of questions and Adam knew each product in detail very well. Adam is an excellent ambassador for Woodies DIY and I hope this positive feedback is relayed back to Adam.
