Shocking business organisation and customer service
Ordered plants on the 5th May with a 3-5 day delivery. 7 days later, on the 12th of May, got an email saying due to no stock the order won't be fulfilled.
First of all, that email should be sent out same day or next day of the order, not 7 days later. They were a birthday present, and by that time I got that email for no stock I didn't have any time left to make a new purchase.
I explained the situation and all they did was apologize (but in a weird passive aggressive stance?) and offered nothing to help the situation. Customer service had a few misspellings in their message.

I went to Woodies in Cavan to return a small tin of paint & to purchase two more tins of paint. The staff member didnt know how to do the transaction. After making the mistake of over charging me he got his colleague to deal with me. I found this person to be very impatient & not very customer friendly. When he eventually got it sorted I was looking at my receipt to make sure all was in order he pushed my purchases to one side & dismissed me telling me that he neede to serve the next customer in a very rude manner after taking at least twenty minutes ti sort my problem & Im not even sure that it was done correctly. Don't order online
Placed order on a monday hoping to have products by the weekend, no joy. The following Tuesday they have finally been dispatched, so much for 2-3 days delivery. (all items in stock and available in store), no excuse for it.
Useless company stay away
Ordered a liner. After 6 days of waiting I got onto them again. They then started a refund and said I would get it in 5 days along with refund. It's too late I don't want it now. The only reason they are refunding me is cause I spent 10 euro if I bought a lawnmower they wouldn't be so gracious. They are a useless company stay well clear. I'll never buy a thing off them again.
Do not order online
Do not order online… I am unable to get a simple delivery date, the contact number brings you to a lady who can only send an email on your behalf, she has no access to systems and can’t tell you anything about your online order. Fill in the form to query an online order .. you just get a ticket and no one who you can speak to about the tickets or its status .. terrible customer service and at this point I have no idea of when new flooring will arrive. Tried contacting the stores.. Nadda.. woodies it’s an absolute joke.. and not a funny one!!!

Placed an order online for delivery 7 days ago. Received a confirmation email but nothing since. Have emailed and phoned several times but hearing nothing back. Eventually got through to a manager in the Drogheda store. Spoke to her. She said she’d get my number to the online store and have them call me. Have heard nothing.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! Appalling to deal with. And the staff are just rude!
Carrickmines - Thomas
Just a shoutout to the management in Carrickmines Woodies store to mention a wonderful sales assistant you have on the tills called Thomas . he must be only about 19-20 a lovely polite young man, very helpful and remembered my son from a visit the previous week.
My son is Joe and he has Down Syndrome so he was so excited when Thomas remembered him and it made his day.

Absolutely awful online shop
Absolutely awful online shop. I ordered some bedding plants. I had to email them after a week as I hadn’t gotten a delivery date. They have now cancelled it after 10 days stating that none of the plants are in stock, not any of them. They did the same thing last year. Last time I shop there.

Looking to drop off old electric lawnmower and two separate employees asked me was I purchasing a new one before reluctantly saying they will take the old one. Obviously coming from the top down. I reminded them you pay the wee charge when you buy the item . A disgrace
Ordered a storage container for outdoor…
Ordered a storage container for outdoor cushions, no indication given as to when to expect the item. When the item eventually arrived it was broken in bits. Contacted customer services via email as it is impossible to find a phone number to call. Got a generic email back to say they would look into it. 4 emails from myself later with absolutely no response from Woodie’s. DPD showed up to collect the item (no communication that they were coming) and refused to take it as I had not sealed the item. I explained that there was no communication they didn’t care told me to seal it and they would come back. Still don’t know if I am getting a refund. Never order from this website kicking myself for not reading the reviews.

I would like to thank the wonderful staff in woodies in the castlebar store. Especially Collette at the service desk. There all so polite and so helpful
I shop regularly in woodies in castlebar and I found all the staff so helpful and so willing to go the extra mile when assisting me and other customers with their purchases. I recently bought a fabulous water feature and they couldn't do enough to help assist from advising me, dealing with me and loading my new water feature into my car. Thank you from a very satified shopper
Great Customer Service in Mullingar Branch
I would like to thank Heather, who while working on the till in the Mullingar branch, went above and beyond to offer excellent customer service. She was friendly, kind, and thoughtful enough to put me on a waiting list for a glass-topped patio table without chairs, in case one became available during the season.
I had asked about the same item in another branch and received a simple “no,” so Heather’s initiative really stood out. As it turned out, a perfect table became available within a few days. When I returned to collect it, I met two other members of staff who were also friendly, helpful and provided great service.
This was an all-round positive experience — thanks to Heather and the Mullingar team for their outstanding customer care.
Ordered an Einhell 52cc petrol…
Ordered an Einhell 52cc petrol multi-tool for €250. Received a completely wrong item — an 18V cordless oscillating tool worth a fraction of the price. Two tins of Dulux paint at €86 each were packed upside down with no tape on the lids and arrived spilled and unusable. The paint box had burst open completely.
No customer service phone number. No live chat despite what their website claims. Submitted a ticket at 3pm yesterday, received one holding reply this morning promising a follow up, and have heard nothing since — it is now 3pm the following day.
Over €420 worth of goods either wrong or destroyed due to negligent packing. Still unresolved. Avoid ordering online from Woodies unless you enjoy being ignored.
Sad day for woodies
Oh dear, sad day for Woodies! I've been shopping in Woodies Carrickmines for many years. Always got helpful good advice. However, yesterday morning while shopping for garden supplies, one assistant, treated us as a nuisance when we made an enquiry was probably overworked, stressed, such was her attitude....sad! Absolute worst customer service
Absolute worst customer service. I regret ever dealing with woodies.
Finalized my kitchen May 2024, kitchen fitted November 2024. To start, all of my appliances were delayed being delivered as it said on their system they had been delivered in July which was incorrect.
I was informed on the fitting day there was a 6 week lead time on my sink. This was never mentioned throughout the planning. So I had to run around cork city looking for a sink in stock to take home with me or the fitters would have to go to another job and god only knows when they would be back.
And to mention I was 8 months pregnant dealing with all this extra stress.
The fitter attached handles to both corner cupboard door which meant you could open the door and then had the cheek to take off the handle and tell me to stand back and you couldn’t see the hole???? Ridiculous!
He had to order a new door and replace the one he drilled.
Next problem is the handles fitted are completely wrong, they weren’t the ones I chose for our kitchen.(new build)
I was informed it wouldn’t be until after Christmas. I had an employee come to my home and take videos pictures of all. Then for months and months back and forth it was like trying to get blood from a stone. Chris (head over kitchen for woodie Blackpool) has still yet to make contact with me. Iv dealt with team leader, floor staff and many many other staff members and not once did the manager pick up the phone and call me. It’s liked he blanked me. I was willing to make a deal as my original handles were 15cm and the ones they installed were only 10cm so it was a whole kitchen face replacement ,27doors to be exact.
They offered me €150 which was embarrassing for them, so I opted for all doors to replaced with handles I chose.
Fast forward after numerous calls emails and shop visits November 2025, a whole year later and woodies arranged for the new doors to be fitted.
And once again they messed it all up and I was missing doors.
Here we are in April 2026 and Iv two different handles on my kitchen doors. They informed me last November it would be January and back and forth and still no end in sight. 16 months this is going on. I really wish I never went near them in the start and hope anyone reading this stays well clear of them!!!!
I’m currently taking legal action!!!
Don't waste your time ordering with woodies
Terrible experience I ordered 4 7kg bags of wooden logs to be delivered to my elderly mother, they tried to scam me by sending kindling when I got in touch with customer service Vanessa lied and said they have no more stock even though to this day they have them available online for click and collect and delivery Not a good look for your company to have liars as customer service
