Wolseley Fareham - superb customer service, they went ‘above and beyond’ to find a deleted item for me, even contacting other companies and exploring alternative solutions. They deserve your custom - you won’t be disappointed.

Showing stock on website even now ordered over £1500
Item 3 days later told not stock and don’t know when there will be. Asked for a future goodwill gesture but told nope. I am a tradesman so they have lost a customer but they don’t care. Avoid this company.

Ordered a large K3 Radiator, at checkout was given a delivery date. Day before I received a call confirming delivery time. The delivery driver was very pleasant and dropped radiator off in our preferred location. From end to end this was a perfect transaction..... Just got to workout how to lift this beast on the wall now!

Ordered and paid for a timer shown as in stock in there Kilmarnock branch which is 15 miles away due to none of the local branches having any in stock, arrived only to be told that they did not have any even though they showed stock online and charged me for it. When I asked if it could be delivered to my local brach 1 mile away I was told no I would have to go back to Kilmarnock. So i decided to ask for a refund which I was told would be put through but may take 48 hours to process. Companies like this do not deserve to stay in business and I certainly won't be dealing with them again, why are they allowed to take money for kit they do not have. This is the second time this has happened to me in the last 7 days with another company

It took 2 weeks for them to realise they don't carry a certain item. The only reason they even realised is because I called them after the delivery day. I am still waiting on a £1881 refund.

Online ordering worked perfectly. Taking my money worked perfectly. Sending the order confirmation email worked perfectly.

The next day? My order was cancelled because they apparently had no stock in the first place.

So they can process payments instantly, but can't keep track of inventory. To top it off, I now have to wait 7–10 days to get my own money back.

An impressive display of how not to run an online store

Putchased an aircon unit from Wolseley Feeder Road Bristol. Excellent seamless dealings with Wolseley feeder road. Shout out to the warehouse staff Ryan for being very knowledgeable about the pump house air con unit and also to the warehouse manager Keith. Both a massive asset to your company.

Expansion vessels....with "warranties"......we changed ours in 2023 for one of wolsesley products, which failed quite quickly, 19 months (well within warranty 5 years) for which we had to pay a plumber to change it, and wolsesley changed the unit, but alas, no paperwork was exchanged. The replacement (no paperwork generated by the branch here in stowmarket) failed again in June 2026 (well within warranty) ironically, still within warranty of the original in 2023, which, yes we had to pay to have it changed again and pay the purchase price of the vessel due to wolsesly again due to their paperwork missing, and at the request of wolesey, pictures taken of the failed unit (suspect an initial fob off, referred to directors sort of fob off), and some delay of nearly 7 weeks, now been fobbed off....thus, if you dont want a new expansion vessel changed (well, 3 in 3 years) shop elsewhere.
I sincerely hope this one doesnt fail in the interests of wolsesly.....incidentally, the product codes havenow changed....perhaps they needed a redesign

So update for you, after the reply (let us look into this for you) and "a resolution can be found", nearly 2 weeks later and guess what.....absolutely nothing.....what a surprise

I used the Derby store to buy a bathroom tap. It is a vey long time since I found staff so helpful providing me a selection of options and exchanging when I bought the wrong product. At no point was anything too much trouble and the went out of their way to help me. Will for sure use this store again. Thank you

I’m an elderly lady using an iPad trying to order a bath front 🤷🏼‍♀️ eventually I phoned the help line and got Tyla - what a star so patient and helpful, turned out my finger problem but she went the extra mile.

This company operates like in the stone age. Products are not in stock, but they show in stock. The wait at the counter is usually 10-15 min per customer, so if you have two customers before you, expect to be there for half an hour minimum. Also, if you buy something from plumb centre, cannot return it to pipe centre because of policy, still Wollseley, but it could be called a completely different brand. The people who work there seem to be nice, most of them, that’s why I gave them 2 stars, but honestly steer clear of this business, it will make you lose time if you are a tradesman. The online competition is miles better unfortunately. They will dissapear if they don’t change their act.

Visited the Shrewsbury store yesterday and was so impressed by Dave who served me.

What I thought would be a simple buy off the shelf pop up basin waste was actually not the case as it was quite old and the clicker insert was not a size that they stocked.

Dave really went above and beyond in trying various options to help me.

It is very unusual today to find a company that actually cares about customer service, knowledgeable, friendly and doesn’t treat a female shopper like someone who’s gone into the wrong store! (Yes this does still happen).

I will definitely be using them as my go to from now on.

I have been using Plumb Center Chichester for a year or so, the staff there are very helpful, they always supply the correct parts and give me immediate quotes when I ask for them

Awful, awful company!
My item is now weeks overdue but they have no order tracking feature and their customer services are non-existent. Their chatbot just times out, their messaging service interprets "Update on my order" as "You're having issues with your log-in details", their email button doesn't work and their phone line is not open at the times it claims to be. There is literally no way of getting in touch with them to chase up late orders!

An account holder is not allowed any paper invoices or statements either to be sent in post or email. The shop will also not give any receipts of items bought. Customer service very unhelpful to vulnerable customers definitely would recommend to buy your good elsewhere.

We needed to source an industrial heater for our client.
Callum from their Rutherglen branch was excellent in his assistance to source and provide the best price possible Delivery dates were met too.
Would have no hesitation in recommending this branch.

Wolseley seem to think I don't exist as when a tradesman tried to use my account they found Wolseley
said the branch involved could not trace my account which has been used before from time to time, Wolseley accepted payment so I m not a figment of my imagination.

Avoid this company to work for i have never worked for such a terrible company

6 weeks I witnessed the manager selling her home Bakes.

Till system very old and out dated.

I had a forklift licence but wasn't allowed to operate there.

But I'm driving forklifts at a new company who accepted the licence atleast I dont have to drag boilers down steps from the mezz andbcarry heavy items down the steps.

Very clicky enviornment customers sound.

Nanager knows her parts very well but has no patience when it comes to training.

Another staff member screaming / shouting / talking loudly whilst im trying to advise a customer on a telephone sale this task is impossible.

No communication between manager and supervisor.

This is easily the worst thing I’ve ever used to control my heating. I have two boilers in my house, so I bought two of these thermostats, the make is “center” and both of them have the exact same hardware defect.
The AAA battery compartment is useless. The batteries don’t make a solid connection with the metal terminals, so the moment you touch the unit or pick it up to adjust the temperature, it loses power and switches off. Every single time it resets, you are forced to re-enter the day, month, year, and time. I have to do this 4 or 5 times in a row just to get it to stay on long enough to change a setting.
It's completely unfit for purpose and a total waste of money."
