I recently visited Wicks in St Albans with my wife to price up a few items for our next DIY project. We asked a member of staff, Roger, for assistance and advice on where to find things. He was incredibly helpful and friendly, offering great guidance. We also couldn't help but notice how clean and well-organised the store was.

We had the pleasure of doing business with Anthony, who was extremely understanding and knowledgeable to our requirements. We came in with no clear idea, but Anthony soon gave us what we think is now our dream kitchen! He gave superb suggestions on how to make the most of our space, but above all he was very patient and accommodating, and gave us all the time we needed before making our decision. We felt very happy with the service and would recommend anyone else shopping at Wickes St Albans, to look for Anthony G.

We are so pleased to have chosen Wickes for our new bathroom and lucky that we had Tony Crowley design it. Tony listened to our requirements and designed a fabulous bathroom that meets all our needs. Tony made the process stress free and his communication throughout was second to none. The installer appointed by Wickes was so meticulous and ensured the room was fitted as planned and to a perfect standard. It has exceeded all our expectations. Thanks again.

I have used Wickes a few times now and always been very happy with the end result. I have just had a great new bathroom installed with Azhar doing a great job as the design consultant. (Thank you Azhar!)
A few minor hiccups along the way such as a cistern being missed off the order, a panel arriving chipped and the hippo waste bag collection being delayed but no major problems and the installers, Azhar and customer service team have all been very helpful and sorted any issues.
Wickes also give 10% off store items when you are getting your kitchen/bathroom installed with them but give no code or card so it felt a little awkward asking the staff at the till to put through the discount with no proof each time. There also isn't a way to get the discount online if you want to get items delivered such as tiles or flooring. Very grateful to get the discount but the process could be slightly improved.
Overall very happy and always have been with the service from Wickes. They are reliable, good quality and good customer service!

Went to St Albans Wickes for a kitchen quote and Rea anna was just brilliant. She was so lovely, really listened to everything I wanted and had endless patience, I kept changing my mind about the worktop colours and flooring. Nothing was too much trouble. We’d had such a bad experience before trying to buy a kitchen ourselves with no fitting service. Contractors constantly letting us down with quotes and dates. Rea anna was the complete opposite. She is suoer friendly, took all the stress away, sorted the kitchen design and the installation in one go, and it’s honestly made such a difference. Buying a kitchen is a big deal for me, and after this experience I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Great company, great team, and Rea anna really made sure the whole process feels easy.

Rae was amazing she was so helpful with input on what would look amazing and the colours she picked were amazing she really listened and tweaked things on her design to what I like and she is lovely and her customer service is amazing would recommend to anyone wanting a reverb fresh look her customers service is on point

Azhar (Azee) took ownership of a supply issue for a damaged kitchen door which was only just out of warranty that is no longer stocked in the current range.
He kept me informed and updated and contacted the manufacturer to see if they had a replacement. Amazingly ,they did and it was delivered promptly.
Azee went above and beyond expectations and we are so grateful for his experience, tenacity and Customer focus. He is a star!

I had my new kitchen designed by Anthony Garnett at the St Albans store. He was so helpful and knowledgeable throughout the whole process. He recommended Paul McCarthy to fit my kitchen , Paul was amazing and was part of our family for 3 weeks! Nothing was too much trouble and he left the kitchen clean and tidy every evening. . Both Anthony and Paul explained everything and listened to my requirements. I love my new kitchen so much ., thanks Anthony and Paul …..a great team .

I am writing to file a formal and comprehensive complaint regarding my recent purchase and attempted installation of a bathroom.
This experience has been, without exaggeration, the single most horrendous customer service ordeal of my life. The complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism from Wickes has resulted in significant financial loss and immense personal stress.
The timeline of events and the series of failures are as follows:
* Unilateral Change of Installation Date: After purchasing the bathroom, I was provided with an installation date. Without any communication from Wickes, I later discovered by chance that this date had been moved. This created a direct conflict with a pre-arranged summer holiday, which I was then forced to reschedule at my own significant expense.
* Incomplete and Delayed Delivery: The delivery date for the bathroom was also moved, and when it finally arrived, the delivery was incomplete. Several crucial items were, and still are, missing. Despite multiple calls, no one has been able to provide a confirmed date for the delivery of these outstanding parts.
* Last-Minute Fitter Cancellation and Shocking Lack of Communication: Just 10 days before the scheduled installation, I received a call from an unknown "fitter." This individual, a replacement for my assigned fitter, informed me that Wickes was experiencing "major issues with fitters" and that he would be unable to start the job until the following year. Once again, this critical information was not communicated by Wickes directly. Instead, it was outsourced to a third-party contractor, leaving me to deal with the fallout.
* Inadequate Internal Communication and Accountability: Following these events, I have spent countless hours on the phone with various Wickes managers, customer service advisors, and experience managers. It is clear there is a complete breakdown in internal communication, as the left hand does not appear to know what the right is doing. Each conversation has been met with a total lack of effective action or a clear path forward.
As a result of these gross failures, I am now left with a partially delivered bathroom occupying my lounge, no confirmed installation date, and a profound sense of frustration. The final insult was being asked whether I wished to "go ahead or cancel" the project, a question that demonstrates a complete disregard for the financial and emotional investment I have already made.
This entire experience reflects a shocking lack of care, attention, and professional structure within your organization. The fact that a customer must chase down crucial information and bear the financial consequences of your operational failures is unacceptable.
I expect a prompt and detailed response outlining the immediate steps Wickes will take to rectify this situation. I will be sending a copy of this complaint to both the CEO and Customer Services Director to ensure the full scope of this horrendous experience is understood at the highest levels of your organization.

On my second kitchen with Wickes, had problems with first kitchen brought this summer. Damaged items, wrong item, damaged item resent out, poor in store service, had to pay for kitchen before I could find out the delivery date. St Albans instore said let us measure up and we’ll get it done properly, came out measured up.

Stuff arrived,
She cocked up the measurements 800 wall unit doesn’t cover boiler, and door won’t close. No supply for an extractor she’s sold me, damaged doors and end panel and plinths. As she messed up the 600 dishwasher doesn’t fit as she didn’t bother to take into account piperwork, and kitchen was empty when she came round so no excuses that she could see the paperwork, I’ve had to sort out with customer services to have correct one sent out then the vindictive person cancelled my new dishwasher delivery.

Do not use Wickes, their stuff is poor quality and when I had to put feet on, the bit you have to attach for the feet went through the carcus better to go to b and q, their off shelf is a bit more expensive but far better quality

And to top it off the designer has cancelled the replacement dishwasher which was supposed to be delivered to day and told customer services that I said I didn’t want it. She screws up the design and I end up without a dishwasher, the wrong dishwasher was to be picked up on Saturday when they deliver the rest of the damaged items
