From the beginning with the Wickes design planner ,Ashar Fajurdeen, the installation of my new bathroom by Softwood BeechLtd. and the support by Shaun of customer installation support, this has been a smooth and positive experience.Great job by all involved!

I ordered a flat-pack kitchen in store on September 9th, and it was delivered on October 28th. When I placed the order, delivery was agreed for October 12th, but Wickes’ delivery team later confirmed October 14th. Before delivery, I specifically requested a van because parking restrictions prohibit large vehicles on the High Street.
At 15:18 on October 14th, I received a text notifying me that my delivery had failed. No four-hour delivery window or tracking facility had been provided. The earliest replacement date was October 27th, with an outstanding item due November 4th.
Despite my instructions, the kitchen arrived on October 27th in a lorry that could not be unloaded, it obstructed access to a parade of shops for 30 minutes while the delivery team consulted their managers. This was the second failed delivery.
The kitchen finally arrived at 06:20 on October 28th. The driver’s call woke me, and the team carried the units to the second floor and left them beside the front door, waking neighbours. I drove to the flat to let them in. I received a second call at 12.38 and drove back to the flat, expecting the missing item. Instead, an independent courier arrived carrying an identical set of units and appliances.
Deliveries should take place from 07:00, the 06:26 call was particularly distressing because of a family issue.
My experience with Wickes has been extremely disappointing. Failed deliveries and the seven-week wait have caused lost income. I received an apology on 28 October. The service fell far short of the polished, professional experience promised in Wickes’ advertising campaigns and demonstrated serious failures in organisation and management. The delivery team said delivery failures are common because of staff shortages and too few small vehicles to meet demand. Wickes offered £100 compensation. Absolutely shambolic! I wish I ordered a Howdens kitchen

We inherited a small ‘galley’ kitchen comprising wasted spaces, dis-functional units and unsightly, exposed piping so called at Wickes in St Albans for advice.
The talented Anthony Garnett, one of their Design Consultants then visited to measure up and talk through our requirements. He subsequently came up with a brilliant design which we discussed and adjusted together to ensure that every available millimetre was put to good use.
We spent the next few weeks choosing the flooring, work-surfaces, splashbacks and cupboards, frequently changing our minds while Anthony explained, advised and proved endlessly patient!
Deliveries were efficient and punctually completed by cheerful drivers who are a credit to the company.
Our fitter, Paul McCarthy, was an absolute star. He arrived early, worked late and even did weekends to ensure that the job was completed within our time-scale. He is a very skilled, methodical and precise craftsman. Cheerful and friendly, he consulted us at every major stage to ensure the end result would be to our liking.
We unreservedly recommend Anthony Garnett and Paul McCarthy and are absolutely delighted with our Wickes kitchen.

From start to finish our designer came to our home and made the hole experience feel like we were literally being guided through what would work best for our home and we were at no time being rushed. He took us through what each angle of space would look like. Fitters came and were amazing. I still have to pinch myself every time I enter the upstairs bathroom and the downstairs toilet and hand basin with cabinet. Designed by Azhar. And fitted by Softwood Beech Ltd. You were all amazing.

I was very pleased with the service I received from the St Albans branch in connection with a bathroom design provided by Azee and its subsequent installation. The design process was very helpful and the communication up to the date of installation was handled very well. I would recommend them and in fact am using them again for a second bathroom.

From the moment we first me Anthony Garnett, our Wickes design consultant, he listened to make sure he understood what we wanted for our new kitchen. He visited our house and advised us well. We are delighted with what he created. He introduced us to Paul McCarthy our installer, who is highly professional, well organised, neat, tidy and such a perfectionist in his work. We had our kitchen and bathroom replaced and our experience was overwhelmingly positive. Azhar Fajurdeen was our Senior Design Consultant he was friendly and very good with design advise and communication. He provided us with an excellent installer who was very professional with a high quality of workmanship. The Service Customer Experience Team kept in touch and responded quickly to any queries we had.

We have just completed the renovation of both our kitchen and bathroom with Wickes, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. A special thanks to our designer, Azhar, who was exceptional throughout the entire process. He was incredibly patient in listening to all our requirements and took the time to explain the features, pros, and costs of various materials in detail. What we appreciated most was his transparent and relaxed approach—there was absolutely no high-pressure selling at all. Even after the initial designs were complete, whenever we requested changes, Azhar was prompt, efficient, and eager to help. Additionally, the backend operations from Wickes were spot-on. Delivery and item exchanges were handled smoothly and without any hassle. Overall, we are thoroughly impressed and extremely satisfied with the end-to-end service. Highly recommended!
