Excellent service from a staff member called Hannah Collins in the kitchen department. She responded quickly to a request i had placed in store when no one was available to assist at the time. She drew up a 3D rendering and supplied a quote within a couple of hours after our discussion on the phone, something i was not expecting for a couple of days. She's a credit to the store and the company! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had to write this review, as I can honestly say the customer service that I received from Getriin Johansen, went above and beyond. Her friendly demeanour and knowledge of Wickes product, alongside her ability to assist in both design and ideas to support my final kitchen fit out was fantastic. Her willingness to find the additional supplies such as tiles and flooring supported my thoughts on design and my initial idea blossomed into the most amazing kitchen finish, that excelled my expectations due to her expertise. Thank you Getriin! You Rock!

Hannah Collins at Wickes Northampton has been absolutely brilliant, from start to finish with the project of our new bathroom . She was extremely helpful, she will listen and do exactly what you ask . She totally deserves her 5 stars , well if could give more I would ☺️

THIRD PARTY DELIVERY COMPANY, THIRD RATE SERVICE. I Had a delivery scheduled for Tuesday 2nd December 2025. The driver arrived but refused to bring the delivery to the door and left it blocking my neighbours and my rear access to our property, it's causing an obstruction because its propped up right on the edge of the public pathway. It was 3 mdf boards and I cannot move them as I'm disabled. I contacted wickes on chat and they said they would escalate to the local store and I would get a call to resolve the issue by 4pm that day. NO CALL WAS RECEIVED. I contacted wickes on chat on Wed morning and was told I would get a call ASAP. I received the call and collection was arranged for Thurs morning. The driver never turned up but logged it as a failed collection despite the fact the goods are easily accessible to him to pick up and in any case I was here all day. I contacted wickes on chat and asked for the local store to contact me ASAP and I received a call and I was told there is nothing we can do, we can't pick it up until tomorrow (fri) it's a third party delivery company and it's out of our control. WHAT A LOAD OF B******S, wickes stop hiding behind the excuse it's a third party delivery company and you have no control, they are contracted BY YOU to fulfill YOUR customer delivery needs and if they are not performing this task to yours and your customers satisfaction, you have a right to redress.

Northampton Branch of Wickes had a 20% reduction day. I was given 10% by mistake. The next day I was back buying more and served by Abif. It was a lot of work to give me the extra discount. But she was great. Thank you Abif. You attitude is excellent

We were to the Northampton store to buy laminate. Sarah helped us to choose the best laminate and underlay. Really happy with our purchase and service.

The driver refused to unload our kitchen as he said he couldn’t due to the school. He told head office there was a holiday club on. Which wasn’t the case there were 3 members of staff working & it was fine to unload.
It took ages to speak to someone then delivery was rearranged for 6 days later. No help or support, I had to keep chasing. My design specialist was great really helpful but customer services & relations terrible. £150 compensation which I’m still waiting for I personally think it’s a joke cost my partner two days wages as self employed, lots of trades people had to be cancelled & rearranged, lots of take aways so a lot more than £150 spent.

Unfortunately my appointment never happened as the person who was due to arrive at my house didn’t forward his appointment to his fellow colleagues.
I was not told until I called half a hour later to find out that he was retired from the business the day before. This didn’t help me in anyway as I was planning to get quotes for a kitchen refit.

Jemma, helped me arrange delivery of my wood. She was kind, courteous and helpful. She made things go smoothly.

Visited Northampton store today, Abi F was very helpful, ordered the taps for us, arranged delivery for next day. Lovely polite and friendly young lady….a credit to Wickes!

Telephoned ahead to check availability of paint colour and was put aside for me. Also got some Stanley blades and was pleased to see there was an age check an reminder at the checkout. Altogether a helpful pleasant visit.

Stopped by Wickes shortly before it's closing time to get something I had forgotten earlier in the day and asked a guy called Rob if he could help show me where it was. Despite him being clearly busy trying to get things done he was more than happy to stop what he was doing to take me over to the aisle and show me exactly where to find what I needed. He then asked if I needed to be shown where anything else was or needed any other assistance before he continued with his work. Excellent service from him even though he was clearly very busy.

I am always very glad to see the same levels of service everytime I have come into this Wickes store, and is why I will always continue to come back here for my needs!

Geoffrey was brilliant as we don't have a lot of space to work with but he managed to sort something - would definitely use this service again

I could not find the 5 ltr version of Wickes bathroom or kitchen paints only the 2.5 litres which I was about to reluctantly purchase. At the till I asked Abi why you do not have any 5 ltr tins and she advised that they are on a different aisle for some unknown reason.

Luckily she directed me to where they were.

Also, when there is a long queue of customers at the till why does no one else come along to support the single member of staff (Abi)?

Overall, great service by Abi but the overall experience as mentioned above makes this a four star review.

Fast friendly and helpful Service by Abi F at Northampton store

I went to wickes Northampton last week, and the queue was super long, after getting closer and figuring out what was taking so long there was a trio of customers shouting and being horrible to a young girl who I later found out to be abi F, nobody stepped into help her, even after she had radioed over to ask for assistance of a manager. When she served me despite the altercation she had just had, she was one of the loveliest people I have ever been served by! She was smiling, asking about my day, how I am, being super helpful and just got on with the absolute disrespect she had just been given. I completely understand you are bound to get disrespected when working in a retail job, but the fact nobody came to help her when she needed the assistance is appalling, Not even just from the managers end but also other colleagues. When the trio had gone a man called Andre or Andy whom I figured out was some sort of manager by his name badge had come over from the other till where he was serving nobody. So my question to you Wickes Northampton is why is it you let your so called managers allow grown men talk to a young girl the way they spoke to abi F!!! Abi F held her own so well and she should be proud of herself. I can bet she is a great colleague and Wickes Northampton is lucky to have her!! Well done and thank you for being so brilliant, and serving me the way you did!

Customer service is awful. Bought a bifold door online, had to take it out the packaging as it arrived in half, once out it was too narrow for our doorway. Spoke to customer service to confirm return to store and confirm it was out the packaging, they confirmed it was okay to return to store out of packaging as our local store would be made aware. Went to store they refused to take it, moaned it was out the packaging - how you can know a door will fit without removing packaging is beyond me. Then told it’s an online only item so can’t take back to store - how would we know that? Told us to take it home and speak to customer service to arrange collection - even though we had the chat showing return to store was fine. Contacted customer service on 2 occasions to arrange a collection and received zero response, received feedback emails but no response - absolute joke. We are now having to pay out more money for a carpenter to do extra work to our doorway so we can use the door. Will never purchase from wickes again.
