Wickes - Newport Anmeldelser 

Paid to have a new bathroom fitted by Wickes. Absolutely nightmare from the very beginning, the shower screen was fitted with only allowing 12” gap to enter the shower area. The copper pipe to the radiator ran two foot along the skirting board before connecting to the radiator. Their workmanship was a terrible and they never finished the job. Would never recommend them to anyone.

I visited Wickes today looking for two products along with some recommendations and was assisted by a very polite and helpful young man named Jake who said he was fairly new, well Wickes this young mans recommendations saved me on time and cost and I have to say he was the most respectful and Polite youngster I’ve met in a long while.

Writing on behalf of a family member whom visited the store today to purchase a few items and Mandy assisted him with his purchases and payment. He would like to share a BIG thank you to Mandy she was very pleasant, patient, friendly and courteous. Being of the older generation with a hearing impairment his experience of being at Wickes was pleasant and comfortable.

My Mother in law Visited Newport Wickes Store to mix paint and purchase. On her behalf she asked me to give a special mention to the assistant who assisted her. He was very helpful and helped her to decide my choice of preference. I would like to give a special mention to Jake the assistant who was kind, friendly & very professional with his advice.

Huge thanks to Wickes Newport for support with some tins of paint for Riverside Rovers AFC to enable us to give our changing rooms at Shaftesbury Park a refresh ahead of the new season! Thanks to mandy she was looking after my delivery I was stressed about it, the driver didn't find the place I think but she called me few times to check if everything is ok and delivery received,great customer service very helpful and helping the new young staff aswell with her experience, thank you mandy

Waited in all day for my parcel to be delivered as it was due today. The company XDP didn't deliver as they were supposed too.
I contacted wickes to chase the delivery up due to XDP not having a contact number or email to make any contact, of course XDP didn't get back in touch with wickes either.

I wouldn't use XDP if it paid me, one of the worst courier companies running in the UK and it's put me off ever shopping with wickes again.

I’ve always liked going into wickes Newport. The staff are always helpful and if it’s busy they try and get you on your way as quick as possible, and As tradesman that really helps. The team are all lovely people 😊

Staff go above and beyond to help people can’t fault it

Ordered decking from wickes , had my builder collect the order and install . He did express to me that the boards were of a very bad quality . Me thinking he was being over dramatic. I've ordered them from a big reputable company . When I got home , he was right.
These are basically gravel boards with what I can not even say is grooves , just small router marks . The wood is so bad you can't walk on it. Splinter city, and the finish is rough wood not smooth . We are going to rip it up and replace when we can afford it , we can't let the kids on it because of the splinters . We did email wickes and did not even get a response . Been using wickes for ages . But won't be again

Spoke to wickes customer services, who made me jump through hoops , verifying this , sending pictures ect just to tell me because it's already installed their is nothing they can do , was that not apparent in my review that the decking had already been installed by my builder ? They knew what they were doing , making it look like to you guys reading that they are looking it . Aswell as wasting more of my time , they have proven that they are not customer friendly and really don't care about you or me . I would really avoid if u was you . The amount of money I have spent with them over the years , they won't be getting another penny off me !

Amazing staff. Really helpful with product information. Polite and friendly even when dealing with product complaints.

Very very dissatisfied with customer services, ordered my kitchen in January and still have missing parts, dimensions came wrong,being passed from one side to the other, with no one to take responsibility for.

Had an issue with an order I placed in store but it just wasn't arriving. As I wasn't able to wait any longer I went to the local shop and asked if I can cancel the online order and pick the items up instore instead. There were issues with it but lovely Chris (Deputy manager?) and Kieran in Newport's branch were absolute heros and helped me with it start to finish. They both were kind, patient and understood what the problem was straight away. It took a moment to sort due to computer saying no, but overall all was sorted on the same visit
