Wickes - Eastbourne Anmeldelser 

No longer 'proud as a peacock'. Our Wickes kitchen fitted Feb 2025 has proved unfit for purpose and the warranty has proved completely worthless. So, our 24K kitchen problems: within 4 months the compact laminate worktop, sold as super tough, had chipped. The warranty team insisted it was 'impact damage', without inspection and no offer made to repair it. As far as we're concerned we did not chip it. Our worktop is NOT super tough.
The Carysil hot tap filter lid popped off, flooding the kitchen. Again, not covered, but it caused more problems (read below).
The Wickes flooring, sold to us as waterproof (we double-checked this due to leaks with a previous kitchen), is NOT due to the Carysil filter leak. We now have to pay £700 to claim on our insurance as the flooring is ruined, as is the sub-floor (the fridges now lean towards each other as the floor is damaged).
The third, and only problem covered under warranty is the section of under-cupboard lights that stopped working. Even that didn't go smoothly, as the warranty team sent the wrong lighting strip , which the electrician had to cobble together.
Our (in our opinion) sub-standard kitchen has lost its shine - it only took 4 - 7 months before it fell apart. Wickes warranty team took months over our claim and rejected most of our concerns as our fault. THEY WERE NOT 🤬😟

Using Wickes provided a start-to-end solution, from design and supply through to fitting, including all aspects of project management. Rob Hicks at Wickes in Eastbourne was incredibly helpful in helping choose the design and advising on different products, while the fitting was completed by a local family-run business (Clemilson Honorato), guaranteed by Wickes. Clemi's wife,, Lynsay, made all necessary arrangements and was extremely quick to respond to any request, while Clem and his son, Michael, completed all the work to a fantastic standard. They were also the nicest and friendliest people you could ever wish to meet. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I am absolutely thrilled with my new kitchen.

Coco was such a lovely consultant- she really gave us good ideas for the bathroom. She also lead us to the more economical option at times, which kept the bathroom affordable. I felt that she was personally committed to us having a bathroom that we would enjoy.

We had to wait for installation as the first contractor was not available, but it was worth the wait. Robert Pym was so knowledgeable and so professional that we felt from the start that we could trust him, and his team were all excellent too. His quote included everything that might have to be repaired, which meant that the final bill was less than expected.
All in all, we are very pleased - from planning to completion, and are already discussing the kitchen with Coco- and Robert is booked!

What can i say coco was brilliant from the start from when we had are kitchen designed by her to the bathroom, nothing was to much trouble I'll give 10/10.

Rob Hicks, design consultant at Wickes, did an excellent design of the kitchen, explaining the possibilities clearly and showing me the range of available styles and materials. He facilitated the use of a somewhat unusual type of stone worktop (Rosa Beta, a type of granite which is actually an attractive pinkish quartz monzonite from Sardinia) that integrates very nicely in the kitchen design. This addition proved a little fiddly to organize, but with Rob's assistance and a helpful customer service operator at Wickes it worked out very well. I thoroughly recommend Wickes and their installer, Heartwood Carpentry Ltd.

The delivery was on time and the final product looks lovely. Our installer, Clemilson, associated to the Eastbourne store, did a great job. He is a very polite guy who communicated well and kept me updated each day.

We have a very small kitchen and had no idea how best to make the most of the space. Coco the Design Consultant at the Eastbourne branch came to our home and very quickly came up with a fantastic design that enabled us to have the appliances we wanted along with much needed extra cupboard space. Coco was extremely helpful and I can’t recommend her highly enough.

I was in your Eastbourne store today, where an announcement was made that Wickes was observing the 2 minutes silence for Armistice day. All the music went off, the forklift went quiet. 3 of your members of staff continued laughing and joking and showing no respect. Now,I am old enough to know you cannot make people do something they do not want to do, or do not agree with, BUT allowing your members of staff to show such disrespect is not acceptable in today's society. I was a very regular customer to Wickes, and saw on an almost monthly basis, Wickes stance on LGBQT+ rights and inclusivity. Perhaps through your roll out of this ideology you could include the fact that people can be open about their sexuality and beliefs because of the men and women who died for today's freedom.

Coco at the Eastbourne Wickes branch was extremely helpful with our kitchen purchase. Coco came and attended our property to get some accurate measurements and give some thoughts on possible ideas! Coco was really patient and provided many different options on the different possibilities we could have! Really friendly and positive experience. No pushy sales, just considerate thought applied! Recommended!

Coco helped me design a new kitchen and bathroom went into great detail coming up with some great ideas along the way! Would definitely use again would go as far to say “I’m in love with the coco”

We were helped in store by a staff member called Catt. Helpful, cheerful, polite and knew a lot about your products. Something she didn’t know she found someone who did and continued to help us get all the items we needed delivered. Great asset to your team 👍🏻

I went with Wickes to do my kitchen refurbishment. From the first point of contact, Robert Hicks, Design Consultant, has been very polite, professional and knowledgeable. I never felt that I am being pressed to make a sale. Robert was patient with me, prompt to reply to my queries and really helpful when I needed to change my order last minute. His experience and expertise made me feel at ease throughout the whole design process. Once I placed the order, within a few days I was contacted by the allocated kitchen installer Clemilson Honorato. We met a few days later, including his lovely wife Lynsay (who was there to help plan and coordinate all the required works - true gem!). We have gone through the kitchen design, I described what I wanted, I was able to ask questions, Lynsay then walked me through the process and what I can expect moving forward. We agreed a start date and soon after I was contacted by Bethany, Customer Experience Coordinator, to agree a kitchen delivery date and coordinate it with the delivery of the worktops from the 3rd party. Bethany was professional and helpful, and was checking in with me throughout the process - thank you.
The kitchen refurb started on time and went as planned - all the tradesmen were lined up, and all of them did an amazing job. You can tell they've been working with Clemi for a long time and have a good working relationship. Everyone was willing to answer my questions and explain what they'll be working on for the day. Particular thank you to Robert and his crew (our electricians), Pukka plastering, but above all to Clemi and his son Michael. Thank you both! Clemi's workmanship and skill really shone through (particularly the worktop joints!), he's been so kind, helpful and approachable throughout. At the end of the day, the work area was always tidy and clean (as much as it's possible during a refurb!). Obrigada! I would recommend Clemi and his team to everyone!
It's also worth mentioning that during the two weeks of refurb I was contacted and visited by Wickes representatives who were checking in whether everything is up to scratch and whether I have any concerns. Safe to say, I felt at ease throughout the process, and feel incredibly grateful to everyone for such a smooth experience. I will definitely be a returning customer of Wickes. And now I have a beautiful new kitchen to enjoy.

I am really happy with my new kitchen. Initially I went to see Coco at the Eastbourne Wicks. She visited my kitchen to assess it promptly after contacting her. She had lots of good ideas for my kitchen design but also listened to what I wanted. She obviously was very competent at her job and was helpful throughout the whole process. My kitchen fitters were Clem and his son Mike. The kitchen was started about 3 weeks after my initial contact with Wicks. They were pleasant to have in my house, came on time and were respectful and tidy. I am pleased with the way my kitchen was fitted and would recommend using them. I did have an issue with my oven, that was delivered damaged. This was replaced by Wicks without any arguement! I did have to wait a couple of weeks for this new oven to arrive, but once it arrived Clem arranged for it to be fitted the next day. Although, there was this problem I had no concerns that things would not be sorted out and that Clem would return to complete the work.

I got a new kitchen . Coco is a lovely lady and very helpful. She designed the kitchen and organised everything so it was a pretty seamless job. She organised Clem and Mike to fit the kitchen and they worked hard and did a good job. They cleaned up at the end of each day so I had little extra to do. Both Clem and Mike were quiet but friendly and I didn't notice them when working. I would certainly recommend Coco to design your kitchen and Clem and Mike to fit it, including the floor.

We had a new kitchen fitted this year by Clemilson Honorato and son.
They were excellent right from the start. I was pleased with the attention to detail and superb finish. Clemilson was always on time, worked efficiently and cleanly and involved me in decisions about colour and finish. I was kept informed at all times when extra work was needed (plumbing) and the costs were clear.
I am extremely happy with my beautiful new kitchen and would highly recommend Clemilson. Thank you.

Design of bathroom was great, installation was poor, rushed and installer did not read the design details. Tiler and plumber did not pay attention to detail. Bathroom looks OK but it had a low bar to get over and we ended up spending more money to put things right ourselves.
Written to Customer Care Services with our concerns and double payments and they could not be bothered to respond so clearly did not care. Would NOT recomend, had to give 1 star but its not really worth it. Forget the peacock go somewhere else.

We had a complete bathroom re-fit. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. Everyone involved was so helpful and professional. Coco the designer came up with a plan that gave us everything we wanted and more. The staff at the shop in Eastbourne were always responsive when we had questions and the installation team from Hammond Interiors Hastings were a joy. Always turned up on time, worked hard and cleared up perfectly.
Thoroughly recommend them all.
