Absolute Scam & Exploitation! Stay Away from WES (World Education Services)!
I am writing this review to warn everyone against using World Education Services WES). If I could give them zero stars, I would. This organization is nothing short of a money-grabbing trap that takes your payment immediately and delivers ZERO service, endless lies, and zero accountability
Here is our painful experience:
○ Incompetence & False Claims: We submitted my husband's degree evaluation application on March 7th of this year. WES immediately deducted their full fees from our account. For months, every time we called to check the status, we received excuses and blatant lies claiming they "could not reach or communicate with his university," located in another country.
Forced Travel & Financial Loss: Tired of their inaction, my husband bought an expensive last-minute flight in June to travel directly to his home country to sort this out in person. When he met with university officials, they were shocked—they regularly deal with international credentials and confirmed there was no reason WES couldn't reach them!
Extra Fees & Unnecessary Shipping: The university packaged, sealed, and stamped all official documents into a formal sealed envelope as required. We had to pay an additional $50 for express shipping out of our own pocket -on top of the heavy fees WES already
took for doing nothing.
Unexplained Account Deactivation Extortion: A month ago, we were shocked to find out that WES arbitrarily closed/deactivated our active account! When I called, an agent explicitly admitted on the phone that it was THEIR MISTAKE and that the delay was entirely on WES's end. He promised the account would be reopened within an hour.
Shifting Goalposts & Rude Support: Instead of reopening the account, they are now demanding an ADDITIONAL fee to reactivate it! When I called today and called them out with proof, the agent rudely claimed they "never received the papers." When confronted with tracking proof, he changed his story to "we only got one document and now demand a wall diploma." I explained that in that country, the official degree transcript includes an explicit legal clause stating it serves as the final, complete, and legally binding equivalent to any wall diploma.
Phantom Supervisors & Refusal of Refund: Throughout this entire nightmare (from March until today), every single request to speak to a Supervisor or Manager was met with the same script: "They are unavailable." When I finally demanded a full refund for failure to provide services. extortion of extra fees and forcing us to incur heavy travel expenses, the agent dared to say: "Pay the fee to reopen your account first, and then we might consider a refund!"
WES takes your hard-earned money, stalls your future, lies about university communications, closes your account without cause, and demands more money to fix their own mistakes. They operate like thieves with non-existent customer support and zero management accountability,
Do NOT trust WES with your degree evaluation or your future! Look for alternative NACES-approved evaluation agencies instead.

Stay very far away from WES. They do not fulfill their promises as they claim. I regret doing business with them. In early June 2026, I paid for express services to get my evaluation report processed and sent to my recipient, but until this date, October 7th, they havent done so. I have only been getting excuses upon excuses, such as 'give us some time and we will deliver." They took my money and did nothing. Liars and deceivers!

My experience with WES was smooth and straightforward. The instructions were clear, and I was able to follow the required steps without much difficulty. I also appreciated being able to track the progress of my evaluation throughout the process.

The evaluation was completed within a reasonable timeframe, and the final report was easy to understand. Overall, WES provided a professional and reliable service, and I would recommend it to anyone who needs an educational credential evaluation for studying, working, or immigration purposes.

서류 업데이트가 안돼서 따지니까 안받았다고 하더니 갑자기 어 사실 받았네? 하고 status 업데이트함.
원래 필요한 서류로 기재도 안돼있던게 갑자기 필요하다고 해서 배송비 2배로 쓰게 만듬.
이메일로는 나 어카운트 업데이트됐다는데 사이트에서는 안보임.

해주는데 니네밖에 없다고 뻗대지마 스트레스받아 미치겠네 입학 마감까지 석달남았으니 시간 충분하겠다 했는데 이제 한달도 안 남고 아직도 document received조차 완료안됨. 캐나다포스트에서 배송완료 확인까지 받아도 뭐이런식이냐. 에지간해선 리뷰안쓰는데 악플개껴야겠어. 억울해서 이거라도 남겨야겠다. 돈이라도 작작 받든가.

the service was fast as soon as my credentials were sent

I applied for documents to documents which has 2 weeks processing time. But, its been two months to apply , still i am waiting for results
I called so many times for help. Nobody response well as i expect
No one have clue about it.

I used WES for a Brazilian bachelor's degree evaluation (course-by-course) for a graduate program application. The document requirements page in my account was specific to my country and institution, which made it clear exactly what I had to upload myself and what had to come sealed from my university.

Once my sealed transcript arrived from Brazil, the report was completed in under two weeks and sent directly to my school. The reference number system kept everything organized, and the status page was accurate throughout.

One tip for other applicants: read the document list carefully before paying for translations. It saved me from spending money on the wrong thing.
