I’m a 61 year old four times colon cancer survivor, I have been on pain medications and high blood pressure medications for years starting in 2004 , my surgeon that did my colon dissection told me I would have to be on pain medication for the rest of my life because of all the surgeries I had in 2025 and asian pharmacist who work for Walgreen had began to refuse to give me my pain medication at first I thought he was an ass . I explained to him why I was on these different medication’s because of my colon surgeries and he persisted on telling me he knew Best than my doctors as it prolong I began to realize that this wasn’t normal. I started to feel targeted by my race. I contacted Walgreens numerous of times about this agent pharmacist he had me going to Walgreens out of my city to get my prescriptions fighting this monster of colon cancer every day stress now I have to fight a pharmacist at Walgreens for my pain medication. The pain medication helped me get out of bed and live a piece of a normal life distress, a brought on me makes me have a hard time to sleep thinking what’s gonna happen next month? They told me Walgreens changed their policies on pain medication, but when I go to Walgreens out of my city, they give me my medication right fast. I am beginning to think of seeking legal actions against Walgreens. I have called them numerous of times and informed them of this pharmacist. I feel discriminated against every time I go pick up any medications. He give me to run around my pain medication‘s my blood pressure medication and my anxiety medication. I know I don’t have long to live because this Cancer keeps coming back, but I would love to have a piece of mine knowing that I can have my meds that gives me a little comfort in living so I can get out of bed sit and talk to my loved ones so I’m asking Walgreens to stand up for a Cancer patient so the next one won’t have to go through this so if there’s any corporate members who read this, please contact me and let’s discuss how I can move forward and removing this stress that keeps me up at night thank you. I look forward in speaking with you.

I bought eye drops for $22.99, tried to pay with credit card on self checkout. I got an error message, Norma, the store manager swiped and tap my card several times, gave me one receipt. I got a fraud alert from my bank. I called the Walgreens store, I got no resolution. I disputed charges with bank.

On July 5, 2026, I visited Walgreens Store #2778 in Elmont, NY to send a Western Union money transfer. I chose to pay with my debit card. The cashier attempted to process the payment twice, but both attempts were reported as declined. Neither attempt generated an MTCN, and I was told the transactions had failed. The cashier instructed me to submit a new transaction at the kiosk and pay with cash, which I did successfully.

A few hours later, I discovered that my bank account had been debited twice for the two supposedly declined card attempts—$150 plus an $8 fee each time, totaling $316. Since both transactions were declined and no MTCN was issued, my account should never have been charged.

I immediately contacted Western Union, and I was told the matter would be investigated and that I would receive a follow-up. A month later, I have received no update and no refund.

I also contacted Walgreens. After being told to return to speak with a manager, then later being told a manager would call me, I never received any follow-up. My bank initially attempted to dispute the charges, but informed me that Walgreens stated the transactions were processed by Western Union. Walgreens, however, has pointed the responsibility back to Western Union.

As a result, Western Union has had my $316 for over a month despite the transactions being declined, and neither company has accepted responsibility or taken meaningful action to resolve the issue. I have exhausted reasonable efforts to resolve this directly and am now filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the New York State Department of Financial Services, and posting this review to warn other consumers.

Consumers should not have to spend weeks or months trying to recover money from transactions that were never successfully completed. I am simply requesting the prompt return of the $316 that was improperly debited from my account.

Walgreens has been in business since 1901. Now most people would think with all that experience they would know how to run a pharmacy. I assure you that's not the case. On their website they'll show a Rx is ready for pickup and you get there and it is not. Or one of their favorite alternatives is when you get there they say they already show it's been picked up. One review source have them at 1.1/5. Seems high to me. The worst part is they act like they're doing you a favor by filling your prescription. I take something like 30 pills a day but since it's Medicare Part D don't know how much they make on each one or what their margins are but I assure you I'm taking my business elsewhere appreciate it or not. They make the Keystone Cops look organized.

For some reason every one of our meds take overnight to fill. At this moment I sit up at 5am trying to manage excruciating pain and swallowing every antacid under the sun to prevent my stomach from eating itself. My stomach is producing an extreme amount of acid and unfortunately tho my med was called in Sunday evening before 5 I can’t pick it up till after their lunch today, Tuesday.
I’d like to say Just send it to another Walgreens more capable we tried that with my husbands meds before and we had to wait 4 days while it was ‘lost’ between the two pharmacies and ultimately made us just wait for our in town lazys to decide to fill it. Absolutely ridiculous

I used to use the pharmacy just because it was close although I quit going into the store a long time ago due to absurdly high prices and the annoying coupon system. The final straw was asking about insulin for my cat. They quoted $398. Publix quoted $60 something and charged $35. I'm out of there for good.

They didnt give me the correct quantity and actually hung up on me,called back to speak to someone else and they were rude as well and flat out lied to me.Both were extremely unprofessional and treated me like crap.Location was in Kahului,HI

I am highly disappointed by the incredibly rude phone service at your Colorado Springs N. Academy and Carefree pharmacy.
The representative was impatient, spoke over me, and hung up on me when I complained I couldn't hear her.
I was spoken to with an aggressive tone and treated like an inconvenience.
This completely unacceptable customer service makes me want to transfer my prescriptions elsewhere.
Please train your staff to handle customer calls with basic respect and professionalism.

Whenever I go to my Walgreens there is always a wait. I was told my prescription was ready and it was. The problem arises when they ALLOW people to present a prescription and tie up the driveway thru lane while they wait for the prescription to be filled. This is unacceptable. Why do they permit this? They Walgreens needs to let people know they cannot tie up a line it must be dropped off. I have been waiting for over 15 mins. If I can i will back up and go into the store!!!!!

It is frustrating to be told that your medications (after several days) are not ready and being told "they are on the truck." I went days without critical medications and when I finally went to pick them up being told one of them would not be ready until the following day. I was told they only got the approval that morning which was false according to my doctor's office - and to top it off it was actually in the bag! So they don't look at what they ring up? So the cashier lied about approval and didn't check to see what she was charging me ...how many different words are there for stupid!

Don't waste your money. I got a prescription through this service and all I wanted was a renewal. They declined the renewal but not before they charged me $40. Nothing about my condition has changed the medicine was working as expected with no side affects.... wasted money!

I go to Walgreens on Golden Triangle and Beach Street in Keller, Texas very often. The employees in the store are very nice, helpful and knowledge. I cannot say enough about the staff in the pharmacy. They are so helpful, kind, friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They go continuously go above and beyond to take care of their customers. They are the BEST! I have been in the pharmacy when customers are rude, nasty and condescending to the pharmacy staff. Not once did the staff treat the customer poorly. They were patient and resolved the issue. They go above and beyond.

Took over 20 minutes at the drive thru with 2 cars in front of me. The person who waited on me was working both inside and outside windows. I asked why she was working both windows and she said that the pharmacy was fully staffed and other employees were busy doing other stuff. Couldn't care less about my complaint, said she can help with questions about prescriptions but not customer service. Very bad manager and not the first time I waited like this, just finally upset enough to write a review.

While I’ve had decent experiences at Walgreens before, this last visit was a letdown. The store was messy, and I had trouble finding items. When I asked for help, the staff seemed uninterested. It felt like I was bothering them. I expected better.

They are pretty bad. My son has 5 regular medications and they can never get in sync with having me pick up all 5 at once. I realize different amounts contribute but they could try and not threaten to put one back when two others are pending. I don’t need 5 trips to the pharmacy.Also, they recently informed me of his two new meds. I saw them on the website where they had the wrong store.I tried to transfer them.They never showed up on the app. They then deleted them on the website.They acted like they were never there. They then said they would call his doctor and then call me back and never did. 22 days later we are still waiting for the prescriptions.

I tried to purchase diabetes testing supplies online but wasn't allowed to put in my Medicare number. I called their helpline and the person told me Medicare part b didn't cover it. I sent them a screenshot from Medicare showing it did. Then they told me I had to buy it and submit it for reimbursement or I could go to the store. I went to the store and they told me they don't submit anything to Medicare but I know that's not the truth because I called Medicare. I'll be going to CVS or the Publix pharmacy from now on.

I visited my local Walgreens expecting the same level of service I usually get, but it was a letdown. The shelves were poorly stocked, and I couldn't find half the items on my list. When I asked an employee for help, they seemed disinterested and just pointed me towards a different aisle without actually checking for any alternatives. It felt like I was bothering them. Plus, the checkout line was ridiculously slow, which only added to my frustration. I hope this was just an off day for them.

Walgreens is the best store around. I used them for my medical and buy goods from the store. Excellent workers and great customer service. Rita is superb

They never pick up their phones. If they’re mad at you, they seem to roll you through the same Robo voice, giving you the same stupid messages about the times they are open, etc. I am just trying to connect with you to get my medication. Their apps do not inform you enough. I’ve been told one thing and go in and it’s not ready. The lack of communication is the worst part of it. I don’t care about digital or apps. I want a human voice who talks who responds listens and is acts. I want my meds regularly. In the last time they filled my blood pressure meds they cut me 20 days short and I had to call in and tell them. I didn’t get to just do it in one call. I had to call back several times and I am a patient who needs help. I need help now. Give me the medication that the doctor prescribed for me now. Stop telling me that you are on meal break.

Walgreens on WarMemorial and prospect in Peoria, IL. 2 hours on the phone checking on prescription then another 1 waiting in the drive through. Once in the line I was unable to get out of drive thru. I’m switching to another pharmacy. Hire more staff or close some of your pharmacies.
