Super terrible airport especialy for transits. If you just step out of the plane they force you to go again to Security check. Once Arrived at the Security hall the horror starts, totaly unorganized one big mess and that results in mega long cues, and a lot of passengers did not make it to their connection even though when you one hour before your connection departs you will not make it. It happened at this airport twice to me, and today almost again but because I was an ashole and skipped throug the cues with sorry, sorry I miss my flight I made it…. This is the worst airport in Europe and I will ask my company to never ever book a connection via Vienna!

Abgesehen davon, dass Abläufe schleppend gehen, finde ich es peinlich, arrogant und unwürdig, dass Reisende aus aller Welt eine Euromünze parat haben müssten, um ein Kofferwagerl nützen zu können. Man stelle sich vor, man müsste die Währung von Addis ababa, Dschibuti oä. als Münze schon haben.....so verpeilt ist leider Österreich.

Unendliche Wartezeit jedesmal auf‘s Gepäck. Obwohl nur 3 Flüge angekommen sind .
Das Management sollte sich schämen, sind aber halt Politgünstlinge und keine Macher.

Im Vergleich zu anderen Flughäfen in der EU kann man sich als Österreicher nur schämen. Rom, London 2 liter Wasser Flasche mitnehmen kein Problem. Wien: ein Mini Smoothie mitnehmen schon ein Problem. London, Rom: Personal, andere Fluggäste freundlich, Wien: fast jeder unfreundlich, Verkäufer grüssen nicht, jeder rennt hektisch umher. Usw usw.... Insgesamt kein Wohlfühlmodus.
Hat schon einen Grund warum die "lebenswerteste Stadt der Welt" zeitgleich als die unfreundlichste gilt...
Darüber hinaus das Ryanair ausschließlich nur Probleme mit Wien Schwechat hat, bzgl der Gebühren das sagt auch einiges aus....

For more than 45 minutes, an immigration officer kept adding and re‑adding my entries and exits in the Schengen area, determined to catch me overstaying the 90‑day limit within a 180‑day period. He simply would not let it go. I was left standing at his window while he tapped through dates on both his computer and his phone, without explanation. Only at the very end did he finally decide to tell me why he had been calculating all those dates. The situation felt hostile. He was sad he had not won.

Alles top! Sehr sauber und viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten!

Die Anreise zum Flughafen mit der Bahn ist echt klasse. Wir fliegen oft von Wien aus in den Urlaub auch München ist eine alternative aber der Bahnhof unterm Flughafen Schwechat ist schon super. Der Flughafen selbst ist sehr übersichtlich und das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Hatten bis jetzt nie Probleme und die Lounges sind auch top.

Einmal war der Anschlussflug über Wien knapp, da wurde das Gepäck erst nach mehreren Tagen weitergeschickt, dann fiel meine Maschine aus und erneut kam das Gepäck erst nach mehreren Tagen an. Zum Vergleich München, bei einem ähnlich knappen Anschlussflug kam das Gepäck mit, zum Vergleich Frankfurt, da kam es zwar nicht mit, aber gleich am nächsten Tag.
Dann finde ich kein warmes Essen im Sicherheitsbereich nach 20:30 Uhr, an sich schon merkwürdig. Wenn ich jemand fragen will, ob ich nach dem Verlassen des Sicherheitsbereichs wieder reinkomme, findet sich absolut niemand, der die Frage beantworten kann.
Dann etwas über 10 cm Schnee in der vorherigen Nacht, und noch am Abend hat meine Maschine knapp 4 Stunden Verspätung.
Der Flughafen missbraucht sein lokales Monopol und spart am Personal zum vielfachen Schaden Dritter. Der Standort Wien verliert an Attraktivität.

Wondering how an Austrian airport (Vienna) has to shut down due to a 20 cm snowfall..... If it was southern Spain, totally understable. Austria - not. Outright unacceptable.

Worst airport experience ever in 56 years of air travel.
There was some snow overnight (about 5-10cm max). We had no trouble getting on a tram at 4.30am and then a train at 5am. And there were taxis and cars driving with no issue. But this small snowfall brought Vienna airport to its knees (in a city where winter snow is usual). Our flight was supposed to depart at 7.15am. It was cancelled, as were hundreds of other flights as the airport shut entirely. We got rebooked onto the 5.10pm flight which eventually left at almost 10pm. Dumped back into London past midnight and thankfully caught the last tube home. How do other airports in snowy locations manage? Oslo? Moscow? Montreal? These airports don’t stop for 10cm of snow. I suggest it’s Vienna airports’ owners refusing to put the investment required into the airport for snow, preferring to pay their private equity shareholders huge dividends instead. Vienna was lovely, but I wouldn’t bother returning in any months between November to March because a bit of snow and you risk getting stranded ( there were two BA flights after the 5.10pm and both got cancelled entirely so those 400 passengers either had to sleep on the floor in the airport with kids and baggage or try a find a hotel room with thousands of other stranded passengers).
The Austrian state owns a chunk of the airport. I suggest it exerts more control over the way it’s managed.

The airport has collapsed for the second time this year due to snowfall. For an Alpine country that prides itself on 'winter-ready' infrastructure, this is an operational disgrace. The management has left thousands stranded with at least a 12-hour service failure. Rebooked 13 hours late onto a flight that is already suffering from rolling delays. Unprofessional, fragile, and a total reputational failure.

Zuerst wurde unser Direktflug nach Madrid um 12:20 annulliert. Dann umgebucht auf AUA Flug über München um 17:30. Dieser wird in dieser Minute gecancelt! Danke! Wenn ich das vorab weiß setzen wir uns ins Auto, fahren nach München und erwischen den Anschluss! Ich weiß, heute war ein Schnee Chaos, trotzdem muss man Reisende zeitnah informieren!

Orrible experience at Vienna airport, everyone is rude.
There was one of us also needing (and booked) of help assistance, but this man without taking his luggage took him like a box.

Although many of the gates have been completely empty the aircraft from Innsbruck parked infront of F13 followed by a lengthy trip with an airport bus. This happens all the times. They are completely unable to send at least two buses for one Embraer. Then it looks like rush hour in London or Paris. The management is completely unresposive and not able to organize ordinary arrival or departure. It was communicated many times but it is very bad and unresponsive. One of the worst European airports.

Das Wasser auf der Toilette kommt so warm aus der Leitung, dass man es nicht trinken kann. Dafür verkaufen sie dir eine kleine 0,5 l FLASCHE cola um sage und schreibe 3,60— Das ist Abzocke. Die Gier die hier herrscht wird bald in sinkenden Passagierzahlen und weniger Flügen resultieren. Wie viel kann man hier falsch machen. Die Zukunft liegt im Flughafrn Bratislava.

One of the worst airports in Europe and I am not talking here about location or how it looks and so on I am talking about how ugly are "most" of AAS employees ... especially one employee his name is Dominic, full of hate, discrimination and rudeness...

we had an emergency Landing we were overwhelmed we received ZERO empathy and lots of attitude and bad treatment... YOU FAIL

Senator Lounge Wien: Viel zu voll, laut und eng, Angebot (Speisen, Getränke, Platz, Privatsphäre etc.) hebt sich nicht ab von Business Lounge (im Gegenteil), Toiletten außerhalb, Mobiliar kalt, wenig einladend und ungemütlich, kein Wohlfühlfaktor vorhanden. Wenn AMEX Platininhaber dort auch alle aufgenommen werden (müsste eingeschränkt werden), reichen Kapazitäten für wirkliche SENs nicht aus.

Rude staff. Nowhere to sit. Had to wait to board for an hour sitting on the dirty floor.
