I was very upset. We came from Sandbach because our vet clinic was closed because it was Sunday. The doctor couldn't examine my dog ​​because he wouldn't let us. The visit lasted 10-15 minutes. We were prescribed medication, but we didn't need one of them because our vet doctor said it wasn't necessary. The visit cost 399 pounds. They just bought an antibiotic. And today we were at our vet clinic, where they pulled the eardrum out of his ear. Before that, they gave him medication to make him sleep, took blood for analysis, prescribed medication for him to take home. They did a good job, and it cost 420 pounds. It was understandable to me. And what did we pay 399 for? Because it was Sunday? Thank you for your time.

The issue is cost - £435 to have care for a cat with an eye infection- including HUGE mark up of drugs that cost £1.90 but charging me £25!!! 💸At least you are open about this in your invoice 😂honestly don’t understand how you can be allowed to run this service in this way.

I left feeling relieved my pet had receive the best care.

No one ever wants to go to the out of hours emergency vet but when you do this is how it should be. The set up of the reception is excellent, the staff where incredible and the Vet was honest and empathatic. If only more vets operated like this.

Great and friendly service explaining everything

Very easy to get an emergency appointment on a Sunday. Helpful reception staff. Seen by a lovely vet who explained everything very clearly and was great with my injured cockapoo. Given a summary of discharge treatment by a veterinary nurse who was great too. A very smooth process. Excellent service.

My dog was near death and she worked wonders. She was completely transparent with costs and helped me with my insurance. I'd give more stars if I could.

Excellent service from our initial phone call, to seeing the vets as an emergency on a Sunday. Our dog has anxiety issues and the staff and vet were brilliant with him and managed to remove a stick from his throat without sedation. Giving him care and a massage to calm him. Would highly recommend

The staff, especially Rosie, were amazing. They gave an understandable prognosis, and were very kind and compassionate

An emergency vet that preforms in an emergency. Phoned and appointment straight away. Drove straight there. No waiting seen straight away. Life saving care given to Darcy. Can’t fault it. Lots of phone calls to keep me updated. The Bupa of emergency vets. Thank you and Darcy says Thank you

The receptionist was very lovely and calm, and the vet was very friendly and reassuring too. As everyone was so calm I didn't realise HOW serious my cats condition was, but for that I am glad as I wouldn't have slept at all. The next morning our normal vets updated us on how serious it was but that he had responded very well over night. The vet also sent me updates throughout the night which I really appreciated. It was very expensive as all emergency clinics are, but the treatment my cat received was great and the staff were very kind and calm.

Vet was lovely. Charges are absolutely crazy. We were there 5 minutes or less and charge was over £400. I was asked if I would be putting the charge through insurance and was told there would be an extra £35 admin fee if so. Our appt was last Tuesday and vetnow has still not sent info to my insurance company. My regular vet sends replies to the insurance same day and makes no extra charge.

Very good and caring but quite expensive

The staff were very friendly and extremely reassuring. The vet we saw explained everything to us and was super gentle when trying to examine our dog. We will definately use them again

You could not pay me to take my pet here, the stuff iv heard online and word of mouth about this vet is actually terrifying, my cat caught a tiny baby blue tit bird and I managed to get the bird of him I called this vet as it was an emergency and no other place was answering my call the person I got on the phone was the opposite of compassionate and said they will put the bird down or telling me to put it outside where it wouldn’t have a chance I was upset on the phone, and the person on the other end was so cold and the opposite of compassionate, I also thought very rude she also told me sspca would tell me the same after further research sspca should help the poor soul and hopefully give him antibiotics and try help him not chuck him out like rubbish or put it down if not necessary how do these people that clearly don’t have a heart get these jobs that involves animals they need to have a word with the staff and really have people taking these calls more empathetic at the very least, anyway the baby bird is safe in a dark quiet room in a blanket confined in a safe space and will call sspca at 8am hopefully will have more luck with them

​I am only writing this review now because it has taken me this long to find the strength to revisit the painful memory of how we were treated.

​In October 2024, I brought my dog to Vets Now at 3:00 a.m. She had been crying and restless all night. I knew deep down that something was seriously wrong with her, and the insurance vet I spoke with during back-to-back consultations overnight agreed entirely. They also knew something was wrong with her, which is why they explicitly advised me to go to an emergency vet to get her medication.

​Instead of receiving help or compassion, I was met with an emergency vet who dismissively claimed my dog’s issues were just "behavioural" and told me I was being "excessively emotional". The consultation ended with the vet literally storming out of the room. She prescribed absolutely nothing to help my suffering dog, yet I was still charged £300 for the privilege of being insulted.

​Tragically, I lost my dog a couple of months later to Histiocytic sarcoma (cancer). She had good days and bad days after that night, but she never recovered.

​To be dismissed so cruelly when looking for emergency help is unforgivable. Both I and the insurance vet knew she was in distress, yet Vets Now treated me with utter contempt during one of the most stressful nights of my life. I want to make that clear to anyone considering bringing their pet here.
