Our trip to Los Suenos Costa Rica was amazing! The whole family thought it was the best vacation we have ever taken. Costa Rica is a beautiful country with so much to see. The people are very friendly. Los Suenos is a beautiful resort with a lot of amenities: fishing, golfing, pools, restaurants. Anything you could ask for.

The only downside is the beach area. It's not really a great lounging/swimming beach area. The water is very calm, but the sand is volcanic and more like mud than sand. There was no path to the beach from the resort either. Outside of the resort there was better beach access.

We stayed in the DelMar condos which were very nice and spacious. We did not do any cooking ourselves, but the kitchen was stocked with necessities. We got the breakfast service which had them cooking us a nice breakfast every morning at our agreed upon time. The food was good and they had something new to go with the eggs, toast, and fruit every day.

The golf cart rental is a must. It's about 1 mile to walk to the beach club and marina area so not too far, but more that I would want to do on a regular basis on vacation. You can use the golf cart outside of the resort too to go to a grocery store or nearby restaurants.

The excursions were great. We fished, ziplined, and took an ATV tour. All were great. Just make sure you confirm pickup and departure times and locations.

We got an excellent service from Costa Rican Vacations and Tara. We would not have been able to arrange such a fantastic trip ourselves, staying on many different locations, booking all the activities and hotels etc. They were very good at taking our wishes into consideration when planning the route.
There was only one hick-up, when they miscommunicated that we would be picked up at our hotel for our diving day, when actually we should have driven the 1hr+ ourselves to meet the diving guys at 0730am. Plus the company arranging the diving was quite bad.

We worked with Sebastian Rojas at Costa Rican Vacations for a last minute change in our travel plans for our anniversary. We were amazed that he could help us plan our vacation in less than 24 hours departure. He listened to what we wanted to do and made great recommendations for where to go and stay along with excursions and transportation. It was the most enjoyable and relaxing vacation. They emailed us during the vacation to make sure all was going well and as planned. It was so nice to have that type of service. I look forward to working with them again in the future.

However, Costa Rica has become very expensive relative to its peers and runs the risk of losing potential travelers.

The itinerary was full proof, spot on! Not having to worry about arranging transportation, having everything booked in advance, breakfast included in rates of lodging, I can go on! Will certainly use Costa Rican Vacation again and have already recommended to all I know!

This was our first trip to Costa Rica and I had no idea where to go or how to arrange to get there. I was contacted by Anastasia of Costa Rican Vacations by phone and suddenly all of my confusion disappeared. I simply told her what we wanted to do in Costa Rica, and she found us hotels as well as transportation from the minute we arrived at Liberia Airport as well as for every activity we did and area we stayed in. It was flawless. We were contacted while on vacation to see how things were going and if we were having any problems. If I needed help, I knew it was simply an e-mail message or a phone call away. I definitely will travel with Costa Rican Vacations again.

CR has a lot of nature to see, so there is a lot of hiking that is available...you can hike and hike, and there will be still more to do. So think about how much hiking you want to do. Food: it’s fresh, real, and delicious! Keep in mind that 10% service charge is already included in your bill. Those that provide touring or transportation, always tip! Be sure to visit a coffee/sugar cane/cocoa farm to learn about how CRians produce, plus sample these goodies! The country is beautiful, and the people are humble and friendly! Be sure to take the time to visit the Caribbean side for a truly local experience!

First I wish to thank Amy who patiently helped us plan the excursion and Pilar, who was there for us during the trip, for their support and advice. Since this was our first trip to Costa Rica we chose to spoil ourselves by taking the expensive way, where the company booked everything for us. In general, the trip went very well: the drivers who took us from point A to point B were professional, punctual and friendly, the hotels were expensive but top quality, the tours recommended for us were fun and the guides were professional..Everything worked according to schedule.
We had a hiccup with one of our hotels, but, in the end, Costa Rican Vacations made things right for us.
If you have a chance, do visit Costa Rica. It is different from Banff, Florida, Zermatt or Chamonix.

We really enjoyed Costa Rica. Costa Rica Vacations transfers and tours were all great. The first night we stayed at the San Jose Hampton Inn, and were surprised to see a casino just across the parking lot. The drive from San Jose to Arenal was beautiful and VERY windy, so should only be done during daylight hours. We were booked two tours in the Arenal area and none for the Papagayo portion of our vacation. We should have split the tours between the two locations so we enjoy more time at the The Royal Corin. The food, service, accommodations, and pools there were all wonderful, although the main restaurant was better than the upstairs one. In Papagayo we stayed at El Mangroove, which we found disappointing. The food and service there were very inconsistent, however the cocktails were inventive and delicious. We thought the rooms were strange, and there is no view from any of the rooms.

Excellent & highly recommend it - great coordination on every leg and wonderful service from each person I contacted! Super helpful especially for a first time trip there. Loved our trip & this really helped*

Amazing Experience!

Aaron did a fantastic job customizing a trip that worked perfectly for our honeymoon. The hotels and excursions we went on were all fantastic. It was great having everything pre-scheduled so we literally didn't need to worry about booking anything once we arrived. I'd highly recommend using them to ensure an amazing vacation.

Our trip was wonderful. Our hotels were excellent and the staff were so friendly and attentive. All of our excursions were fun and very enjoyable. We would definitely travel with Costa Rican Vacations again!

We had great service and support from CRV from the moment we had our first phone call, through all the planning and also during our trip. We booked with Stina, who gave us a selection of options until we were happy with our final itinery. Over two weeks we were able to see the Cloud Forest (starting at the beautiful Villa Blanca), Arenal, Manuel Antonia and some surrounding areas.
All our transfers and most excursions were also booked through CRV. All staff were friendly, spoke excellent English and everything was clean.
Everything was pretty seamless and the only time we had any issues, these were addressed immediately with support from the team.
All in all it enabled us to have the honeymoon we wanted in a really special country.
