Tried to sell my 996 through these guys. The auction didn’t reach anywhere near the reserve price let alone the hammer price they speculated.

Various excuses were given such as IMS needs done, the wheels are dirty (?!?!!?), the buyers are very discerning, blah blah blah. Obviously they don’t mention this until after you’ve paid your £240 for the professional photos and write up….

I listed on CarandClassic shortly afterwards, and it sold without any issues.

TradeClassics do talk a good game however a lot of their cars go unsold. Ultimately they just don’t have the buyer network

Thanks for you response, however it is fair to say that a number of the cars on auction at Trade Classics don't hit their reserve value and therefore go unsold.

Furthermore I don't think there is a physical cost to a listing on eBay and Pistonheads, thus I question the validity of your comment regarding the loss made.

Lydia, Adam, Glyn and Kulraj have been so helpful with every step and made selling the car so easy, especially when I have no idea about selling cars and didn’t really know where to start.

They were honest, transparent, non-pushy and went above and beyond to help get a car which had been in storage for 2 years back on the road and looking beautiful. I can't thank them enough.

The buyer collected the car on Sunday and hopefully will get lots of enjoyment from it.

Chad and the team were brilliant and persevered to sell my car to a credible and trustworthy buyer. Thank you! Also made a profit! Better than buy any car etc and less hassle :)

I would just like to thank Kulraj and all the staff at "Trade Classics" for helping me find the car I have been waiting for. The standard of photography and video in the auction description was second to none. Such was the faith I had in the company that with Kulrajs help and the help of Harjit the seller, I was confident to bid on the car and fly from Ireland to collect it and then drive it 300 miles to the ferry in Cairnryan to bring it back home. The car looked amazing and was actually better in the flesh. A seamless transaction from start to finish. I would highly recommend doing business with them in the complete confidence that the car was presented properly with no stone unturned in the description. I look forward to doing business again with them in future. 5⭐ plus.

It was refreshing to deal with a company that were knowledgeable about cars so making discussions regarding values more open and honest. The process of selling from start to finish was handled very professionally and I was kept informed throughout at every stage of the process. the write up states
"Overall, the standard of paintwork on this car looks excellent", when the car was delivered the paint had hundreds off pin specks all over the car now few month later its bubbling up and coming away looks in many places like a rash, needs complete respray.
The tyres look in good condition the tyres where green you can actually see this in the picture video its like mould living on the tyre cannot clean back to black
"the chrome looks excellent" full of scratches like its been dragged on the floor
all of the above should of been spotted by the accessor who videos the car especially the paintwork which requires a full respray (£3000 up )

Very impressed with all aspects of the service. It is easy to think that you can achieve a sale of a high-value used vehicle by marketing it online yourself on one of the available portals. That would be to underestimate the distinct ways in which Trade Classics/Modern Performance can help. In my case I am certain their listing process added value by maximizing the final achieved price, and making the whole process as smooth and seamless as possible. The final handover process, and payment of funds by the buyer, was straightforward and stress-free as a result.

I felt it was time to let pride & joy go, after all it had been sitting in my garage for over 5 years, but I didn't want to go through the hassle of the sales process. It was then that I came across Trade Classics at first, I was slightly apprehensive but after a long conversation with Adam on the phone this seemed the best way to go, the whole process appeared hassle free and indeed it turned out to be exactly that. Glyn the Photographer/engineer was a really nice chap and did a really nice job and was extremely knowledgeable he put my mind completely at ease. Adam was right in the ballpark with his valuation & advice. the car looked great in the photos which I've kept for prosperity I am more than pleased with my decision in using Trade Classics and would happily use them again in the future to either sell or purchase another classic car .

I was new to car auctions. However I wanted a quick sale of my 911. Kulraj & team were very helpful. Always promptly & satisfactorily dealing with my queries and concerns. The car sold within 3 weeks of starting the process. The adverts with pictures, video and description are very thorough. Ensure though your car is cleaned prior to the photography to show it in its best light. The photography process is a couple of hours. I recommend Trade Classics but encourage one to read all the fine print so one is familiar with all aspects of the process.

We sold our car via this company and can thoroughly recommend them. From start to finish we found the team honest, helpful and professional. A realistic reserve price was set but not achieved. On completion of the auction they contacted previous bidders and managed to achieve our reserve through negotiation.
