First time I have ever used Trade Classics and I can’t recommend them highly enough. Adam was so friendly and helpful, guiding me through the process and giving me much needed advice along the way as I sold my father’s classic car. The professional photography was so impressive, as was the carefully detailed write up. The car sold within a week and what I imagined to be a daunting process turned out to be completely painless, thanks to the team at Trade Classics.

Fantastic service and support, easy to use website and bidding tool. The description was perfect and very accurate, so I didn't have to view the car in person. The whole buying process was expertly managed and I would definitely buy a car through Trade Classics again.

My car did not sell straight away but Trade Classics gave its details to other people and eventually found a buyer.

I'm very sceptical of buying from auctions as the vast majority don't give much information but a contact suggested I look at Trade Classics - what a difference

We sold our car on trade classics and they were superb. From the initial contact through to photographing and the auction itself, all staff were helpful, knowledgeable and really supportive. They were not pushy or intrusive, but really understanding, honest and understanding, doing their best to get a great price for your car. As first time sellers we looked at a number of sites and would really recommend trade classics. A reserve was suggested, then a photographer was dispatched who was amazing. The level of detail was terrific, it was quite fun too. The auction went live and we were amazed by the interest. The advert looked brilliant, and was linked to a lot of searches, even on YouTube. We answered questions online from interested buyers and the car met the top end reserve price. Collection was arranged by the buyer, with a bank transfer being the last action. In all a quick process and all the time the lovely staff at Trade classics help you through the process. You can sell your car with confidence through this really trustworthy and reliable firm.

From first enquiry to final auction fantastic communication, Adam was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Such a difficult review to write as the premise is excellent but the outcome somewhat flawed. Part of this, I think, is down to the market, part is down to the way Trade Classics work.

First, the way Trade Classics work. They don't show a reserve price or whether you're even getting close to the price. So bidding goes along well and, when the auction closes and you think you've won, you get a note saying the reserve has not been met.

This has happened to me on more than one occasion and now I simply watch auctions out of interest, rather than partake. What's the point?

Second, the market. Prices for second hand cars are now falling as the market corrects after the inflation bubble during the pandemic. Not only that, the economy is poor.

But the reserve that some sellers select for their cars is unrealistic and too high. As a result, auction lots go unsold with unhappy sellers and even more unhappy bidders. What's the point of taking part?

I hope that Trade Classics will:
- Encourage sellers to be realistic with their reserves
- Publish the reserve value so that bidders will know whether or not to waste their time

I hope that sellers will be more realistic when listing their cars. Maybe try the following:
- Get a realistic trade price for your car (to buy, not trade-in)
- Research how much your car sells for via a dealer
- Pitch your reserve somewhere between those two prices. To increase chances of a sale, favour the lower end.
Note that if you list your car with a reserve that is just over trade price, you'll likely get more bidders and quite possibly a much better price as a result.
Bidders won't want to be bothered with cars whose reserve is set too high.

I found the photographs and videos of the vehicle to be informative and accurate and allowed me to bid with confidence. I am very happy with my purchase and and would use service again.

Sale of Ferrari 430 through Trade Classics

I advertised my car on Pistonheads and received a call from Trade Classics. This led to my selling the car on an online auction through Trade Classics.
I set the reserve and acheived it and the money was in my account before the car was collected by the nice gentleman that had bought it.
The service from Trade Classics was excellent and I will use them again when I sell my Range Rover.

Some months ago, I decided to sell my classic Mini Cooper Sport 500. I searched around for the best place to sell it and found Trade Classics. After speaking to them on the phone the wheels were set in motion. From meeting the vehicle consigner to the close of the auction the whole experience was fun and painless. I would recommend them to anyone, great company.

Needed to sell a unique classic and Trade Classics really stepped up to help and got it sold.

Photography side was really good and the advert itself was very detailed. There was a slight issue with mileage details and time to upload adverts in other platforms Vs the short length of time the car was in auction. Communication back and forth around this was prompt and the car did sell, although slightly lower than I wanted, Trade Classics did all they could to try and increase the final total.

Overall they were easy to did with a present well, I would recommend them and they only get a 1 star off for the hiccups with my individual advert, though things did get sorted.

I bid and won my car, a most enjoyable experience, most impressive was the professional way that this company deals with the whole process from beginning to end, I dealt with Kulraj, who I think is the founder, he was great to work with. Since winning my car I watch Trade Classics almost daily, looking for my next classic.

Tony called me and sold me the dream. No costs we will sell the car. As soon as I said yes he’s trying to get me to pay £300 for a photographer to come out.

This is how all classic cars should be bought and sold !. Sold my lovely Bmw 325i with trade classics- the whole experience was seamless and stress free. I cannot recommend them enough. The professional photographer did a fantastic job accurately documenting the vehicle.
The Bmw achieved the price that I wanted. Such a refreshing experience compared to selling my previous cars privately when I was having lots of time wasters and dreamers coming to see the car and offer silly offers. Trade classics obviously attracts discerning buyers who appreciate quality cars.. will definitely be using them in the future. Dan Nicholls
