Update again: Well, as of today, it has been three weeks since I sent back the defective lap top and still nothing...no laptop, no emails, not phone calls...nothing from Tiger Direct...
Update: It has now been more than two weeks since I returned the defective lap top to Tiger Direct and the replacement I was promised has still not shipped out. I guess Don Pacis was not as helpful as I thought...
Original Review: After placing several orders with Tiger Direct I ran into my first issue, a defective product. After nearly two weeks I was getting a little frustrated but I talked to Don Pacis, a Tiger Direct Account Executive this morning, and he was a great help. Shortly after our telephone conversation, I received an email with a return goods authorization and a shipping label. The defective product is now on it's way back, and the replacement order I requested is in the process of being fulfilled. Thanks to the quality customer service provided by Don, I will certainly be doing more business with Tiger Direct.

I bought a Hard-drive from TD and on their site I was looking at the SSD drives and some how I was flipped over to the Sata drive and I did not realize what had happened and i bought the drive. Then I tied to return it and after i spent a bunch of time on the phone they said they would email me the RA which I have never gotten. It is catch me if you can returns. No wonder they are struggling.
I ordered an Epson TS1000 check scanner. A week later it arrived. It did not work. I called to return the equipment and ordered a scanner from another vendor that promised 2-day delivery because we could not wait to deposit checks another week. The replacement from another vendor came in 2 days!
My call placed me immediately on hold. Five minutes later a person picked up and said she had to transfer me to a representative. That person then transferred me to Teresa in the Returns Department. She took my information, claimed that she created the Return File but said that I would be called by a person in Sales who would ask me questions about the return. A day later I received a message from Don. I returned the call and left a message.
In the next two days I tried to reach Don three times. He never returned my call. I called Teresa again. She said I would get a call from Sales shortly. Again 2 days later Teresa said that Sales would call. No call!
Today, December 23rd, 14 days after I initiated the effort to return the product, I called my credit card company to challenge the charge.
This is my honest experience;1st, only one Chat associate caused me to give this 5 stars; her name is Cristal Gersa! After a very frustrating experience, where the full load of the negative experience, falls entirely on perhaps a couple of persons after contacting 6 associates (just proves the old story,how much damage one rot potato can do in a full bag), regarding my delayed return status on a refurbished laptop, which worked Ok but didn't serve my business needs. I called on 12/12/19, about 4 days after device received, to request an RMA. An associate told me request was submitted and I would receive an email with instructions in 2 or 3 days. To me, sounded somewhat too long, most e-commerce quite large places do it instantly and give you the option to pay for it been charged upon return, etc. and mostly, no more than 24 hrs. This request took 4 business days and didn't get worse thanks to Cristal Gerson, walking the extra mile and solved the issue contacting the appropriate Dept. to make them aware of my situation another name deserving credit of getting me out of my concerns and anger is Daphne Dawn that was the person preparing the needed RMA docs. and due email. Anyhow, all got me into the holidays, risking on the time return, etc. There are associates in the Customer Service phone line that really need re-training and a test on awareness of the Golden Rule, one in particular on day 3 of my frustration, a male with a quite broken English, stopped me and gave me a phone number to call; I got an answering machine and never a response; just a pathetic joke and lack of sensibility for customers!!
After so much delay, I got an RMA finally arnd. 5pm (Florida time), on Thursday 12/18/19 but showed valid only until 12/25/19, just had one business day to ship, and hope it was the ship out date for the return, otherwise, the stress goes on!
In resume I was determined for a fight due to the deficient Returns process and the Business Customer Service, but again the core value of this service was sustained by 1 Associate that really cares about fellow humans, and not just telling everyone what most like to hear! Please give Cristal the most deserved award to save the image of a "Tiger" that was in danger of looking like an alley cat. And preventing a customer to out of frustration, go into worst reviews and the Federal Trade Commission for a complaint on worst business Customer Service found on the web. Anyhow a few guys saved the day, but Returns process and attention to what a customer is told, all need an upper echelon meeting and take action without delay. Thank you Cristal, please clone this person and her commitment, to make more like her, she deserves the best. I just know her by cyber-words and the results of her care and truthful commitment to her actions. Happy Holidays.

The US Postal took a while to get actual disc delivered (almost 2 weeks). Other wise rating would have been higher. Will buy again if need to in future.

downloading software programs from the Internet still hasn't gotten simple... cost me extra for "assistance" to straighten out several issues that popped up with the MS 10 O/S issues because I wanted MS Office on it... Wasn't overly impressed with the Kingston RAM I had purchased before this along with an MS 10 O/S several months prior to the computer I purchased last...

CyberMonday =‘s cyber rip off! I’d been watching for nice laptops for my granddaughter. I wanted to get something that would last her a hot minute, have plenty of space on it and not spend a fortune! Now I wish I’d just gone to Wally World, bought one, insured it and washed my hands of it. Instead, I purchased what seemed to be an awesome deal. A REFURBISHED HP. I paid an extra $40 to have it shipped UPS. It arrived as promised and wow but wow was it a beauty! That is until you get some power to the battery and attempt to use it when it’s not plugged in. The battery went from 100% to 64% in 1/2 an hour. That’s not the best part. In less than 2 minutes, the battery went from 64% to 2% and then an immediate shut down. LESS THAN ONE HOUR of battery backup on an essentially new laptop. Nope! No way! And, did I mention that it was also for my granddaughter’s birthday??? Another reason for UPS delivery.
So I called TigerDirect and spoke with what sounded like a foreigner named Jay. Jay sounded like a woman but heck, I could barely understand him anyway. I get that not everyone has my southern accent but dang, this is America .. please speak CLEAR AND CONCISE ENGLISH! So I tell Jay what’s going on and Jay tells me “oh, I’m sorry but TD can’t help you! You must call Advanced Safelight and tell them because this company is who completes all refurbished work for TigerDirect. After I speak with them, they will assign a case number, at which time I then have to call TigerDirect back! TD will then file a claim to reimburse my money. I tell “Jay” that I don’t want my $ back; I want a working laptop replacement! I wasn’t intending to buy garbage but got it! I’ve bought from TD many, many times before and never have I had the issues that I am having!!
So I call Advanced Safelight and get a recording /answering service that also didn’t work. It tells you “ If you know your parties extension you may dial it now.” I dial the extension and the voicemail continues forward as though I never doubt it. So then I dial 1 for Customer Service and get a recording that they are experiencing a high volume of calls and I can either contact them by email and expect a 24 to 48 hour response or I can leave a message and they will get back to me whenever. When they provide the email, it is said so fast and scrambled that there is no way to even contact them that way.
VERY, VERY UNHAPPY WITH TIGERDIRECT and their refurbishing company. Currently I’m left with a half-butt laptop, no answers and a very unhappy granddaughter! Just beyond ridiculous! What happened to TD’s awesome products and custmer service????? Unless they get on this ASAP, I’m done with TD & any subsidiary companies they are associated with!
Product arrived as expected. Works fine, and satisfied with features of product. This computer is maseratti fast!

I've purchased refurbs from TG several times in the past, but let me tell you, this last purchase was a complete rip off. I would never order from this site ever again. Lets review the sham that they pulled on me.
1) The system didn't even come with the power adapter that comes with. I received a cheap, good for nothing Chinese adapter that's going to kill my system due to poor power. Maybe that's what their strategy is to get you to come back more often.
2) the keyboard that was included with the unit, was so cheap that it wobbled when I typed on it. I had to jam a piece of paper under the left corner of the KB to type freely. Let's just say that the keyboard got placed in the trash before windows completed setup
3) mouse... Same story. It was a sorry excuse for a mouse. I'm not expecting anything extravagant here, but you have clearly lost sight of customer retention and customer satisfaction, and have taken the greed route.
I've purchased over 700 lenovos from CDW for the business I work with. They are great machines, but DON'T even consider buying the refurbs from here. This transaction ended up costing me an additional $200 to purchase a new power supply and new KB and Mouse combo. Don't do it!
Goodbye and good riddance.
Dela Pena, Joemar was the person who assisted me. I could not have asked for a more professional and patient person to help me. He took a great deal of time with me narrowing down options to suit my needs and did not pressure me to buy something I am not comfortable with. Nor did he make me feel that he was deliberately upselling me. As a result, I will be ordering a computer and then some from your website. I will, also, recommend your site because of this man's great service.

The customer service is some of the most horrible i've seen, will never do my business with Tiger Direct in the future. It's not the customer's job to get RMA numbers from manufactures in order to do a return. No matter what the case is if the product is within the window to return than a return should be quick and painless. The customer shouldn't have to jump through so many hoops to get a refund. I work in the retail field and customer service is our top priority, so Tiger Direct should do the same. I will take my business somewhere else next time.
