Not the TigerDirect I used to order from

Several years ago I used to purchase from TigerDirect frequently. On February 13, I placed an order for a 32 inch monitor that was a good price (about $50 less than the last price that I'd seen it for). The payment was processed through Amazon Pay. No email confirming the order arrived. I placed the order on the Saturday; the Monday was a holiday. I called them on Tuesday and was informed that there were 152 backorders and that the monitor would not be ordered because the manufacturer was no longer making them. The new price for the monitor was now about $700 above the MSRP. The customer service representative was the second one I spoke with. In the first call, after about 20 minutes there appeared to be an answer but there was just silence. The second customer service representative said that the order would be canceled. Two stars for the lack of transparency and lack of emails. The customer service representative did not offer anything for the inconvenience, which they don't have to. It just shows that this company is no longer the company that I thought they were.

Horrible company

Horrible company. Stay away! I ordered a refurbished computer from Tiger Direct which was defective when it arrived. Instead of facilitating a refund, Tiger Direct told me that I had to deal with a third party supplier, with which I had never had any dealings, and wasn't even located in the United States. The company, AST, finally gave me a return authorization code, but did not pay for the return of their defective product. The product was returned, ironically to Tiger Direct, even though they disclaimed any responsibility for the product. The computer was received by Tiger Direct more than 15 days ago and there is no sign of a refund from either Tiger Direct or AST. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH TIGER DIRECT OR AST EVER AGAIN!!!!

They shipped me an order I canceled and still charged me!

Ordered from them asking them to price match. They said they will not do this so I asked them to cancel my order.. they refuse to cancel it then the following day they shipped it!! This is a scam and a ripoff

I'm giving Tiger Direct 1 Star because…

I'm giving Tiger Direct 1 Star because I can't give it 0 stars. I ordered a desktop computer on 12/27/2020 with 2 monitors and Microsoft Office 360. I received the 2 monitors on 12/30/2020 and was notified my computer delivery had been delayed, but should have it by 01/13/2021. On 01/14/2021 I received MS 360. I called Customer service and they said the order was delayed but is scheduled for deliver on 01/27/2021. On 01/27/2021 I received an email informing me that my computer is out of stock and they are not able to fill my order, but the computer I ordered was still being sold on the website and listed as In Stock. So now I have 2 monitors and MS 360 but no computer to complete my work. This company is terrible. I called customer service again but they offered absolutely no help at all

Still waiting for refund

Ordered a computer. Wasn't working properly and sent it back. Still awaiting a refund. This entire process started on November 30, 2020. Received computer on December 4,2020. After almost 2 months no refund. Next step is to contact a lawyer.

Terrible customer service, do not buy from them

Terrible customer service. Ordered an Item 10/05/2020. Item was back ordered and estimated shipping date was “mid November”. November came and went. Called customer service in December and was told new estimate was “mid January”. On 1/22/2021 receive email that order was cancelled . Called customer service and was told they had contacted me that item was available but I hadn’t responded so the order was cancelled . This was a lie. I asked what day the email was sent and to what email. I was told “the 15th or 16”. So you don’t even know what day you say you emailed me?! Of course I checked inbox and spam folder and there’s nothing from those dates. Customer service rep says there is nothing he can do. Garbage company with garbage customer service. Will never order from them again.

Tiger direct lies to its customers and is a FRAUD! DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

I used to buy computer kits from tiger direct all the time years ago. Apparently the company has changed since then and is ripping off its customers and LIEING to them. I placed an order on 01/06/2021. Currently to this day I’ve never received any tracking information, no eta on shipping or delivery, no information about delivery whatsoever. When I login to check on my order, all it says is “to drop shipper” and that status hasn’t changed for WEEKS and no updates have been given to me even though I’ve contacted support 5 times now. Their customer service is some of the worst in the industry and will repeatedly lie to you and not do their job. I’ve been promised information on my order I’ve never received from 3 separate “customer agents” so far. Not one has ever delivered on their promise or ever followed up with me. Someone needs to shut these a-holes down. If theirs a class action lawsuit id love to be a part of it. Companies like this are pathetic and need charges brought on them in court. DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM TIGER DIRECT.

I ordered a MSI 3080 (that the website…

I ordered a MSI 3080 (that the website said was in stock) in October. Pending changed to delayed which changed to backordered. I got a a letter stating they would cancell the order after 60 days unless they heard from me. I called them and let them know I would wait on backorder. 3 months after I placed my order they cancelled it in an email with no warning. No customer service help when I called an no information. It they have the cancel and order that's fine, but 1. Don't make your customers wait 3 months to tell them they won't get it. 2. Don't continue to sell items after they are backordered. 3. An explanation would be nice.

Forgot to mention that I contacted customer service asking if there was any updates in December. I was told they would ask a supervisor. I never heard back.

TigerDirect - Worst Customer Service Ever

I placed an order in early Dec for 2 laptops, I only received one. Long story short, I called numerous times, and was told they had to do an 'investigation' because they weren't sure what happened. Each time I called, their customer service reps were not only rude but weren't able to provide any info. One guy that I spoke with had a rooster crowing in the background! I also sent emails that went unanswered. Finally, a whole month after I placed the order I was told that the item was out of stock, no apologies and no remedy for the situation. Their website states they don't charge you until your items have shipped but they charged me for both laptops and now I am chasing down the refund. I will never order through them again!

Horrible Customer Service

I have bought from them for years but now they are not answering phones or responding to emails. I don't know what happened but don't buy anything unless you need a cable that may or may not be delivered.

If I could give a negative star I would The absolute worst experience with a vendor ever. Order a large network replacement order to have one Mac Mini M1 backordered. Called on Monday and was told the item was showing to be in stock that day and it would ship by Tuesday. Called today as I had no tracking number to have them tell me the unit was backordered after being hung up on by 4 different people, then calling back and getting one of the same people then to be hung up as soon as I say, hey it's me again. Finally get a "Christopher" on the phone (his direct number (408) 975-8526 to be argued with about talking with a supervisor about another tech giving me false information. Suffice it to say I will never be purchasing from TigerDirect again (and will vehemently request all of my clients do the same). DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS... THEY ARE NOT FOR THE CUSTOMER. The only reason I was told the backorder was in stock was because I told him I had another vendor that had two left and I would need to cancel the order if there was no pending delivery date. These guys are sheisty as hell... STAY AWAY. FAR AWAY. Unfortunate as PC / MAC Mall use to be a good place to get your tech gear.

Website inaccurate and misleading.

Ordered a Screen as a Christmas gift for my son. Showed in stock. Received no notifications it was not on its way. When I checked on it it shows backordered with no updated date. Checked their website and today 12/29 they still shows "in stock usually ships same day" but was told on the phone end of January?

Defective items and other issues.

I used to order from this place several years ago and was sent a defective motherboard and wrong color on a case I had ordered. I won't be using this site, I'll stick with Newegg.com

Never again Dealing with these people

Worst customer service ever! I used TigerDirect in the past with no issues.I recently ordered 2-Seagate IronWolf NAS drives. Shipment to me via Fedex still shows stuck in California or lost. This has been almost a week with no delivery. The Agent I purchased from refuses to refund my money paid in.

Once was good now they're terrible

Years ago I bought 10 computers from TigerDirect and they were wonderful.

Recently, I bought a refurbished laptop. Yes I understand what refurbished means and the condition to expect and read everything about the laptop before buying it.

When it came the first thing I found out was the latch was broken and you can't close it.

Then, according to the laptop it either has the wrong power supply or the wrong type of power cord that came with it. Therefore it won't hold a charge for more than 30 minutes

I already have a PC that has to be plugged in and don't need a laptop that also has to be plugged in. Kind of defeats the purpose.

The sound volume was also extremely low even with it turned all the way up and turning enhancements on.

So okay. I'll just buy some speakers and I got them with both the audio jack and USB so I can test them both ways.

So I did. No matter which way I plug them in the laptop can't recognize them. Device manager gives an error message and will not open.

Tried their live chat which I don't think is actually live. The first time it said it would have someone call me but they didn't.

The second time I got exactly the same message. And after a couple of days somebody did actually call me. But all they said was they have to have somebody call me back.

I tried calling them and it says press 2 for customer service. I pressed 2 and it just hung up the phone. I tried that twice the same thing happened.

So the next time I called I tried the finance department hoping I'd get a live human being. But now I got a voicemail. So I left a voicemail 4 days ago and still no response.

I'd like a full refund but I'll update this and see what happens.

Update: Paypal resolution got me a full refund offer, but only if I have everything including any paperwork that came with it and only if I pay to ship it to them. The laptop only costs 224.00 with tax and all. To ship it back costs around 24.00.

So, basically a partial refund if I go through all the trouble to do it. Then they gave me a 1 week deadline to do this and submit a tracking number to them. It took them 2 weeks to ship it to me, but I suppose they know I have a better shipping department than they do.

I'm going to keep it, buy a new power cord, fix the device manager problem and take it in for repairs to fix the stereo jack and usb port. There's another 100-150 bucks, so I'll have paid $375 for the laptop. I'll live with that.

But tiger direct will never get another penny from me. Their customer service sucks and so does the quality of their merchandise, especially with refurbished.

It's a shame because the PCs I bought from them years ago were refurbished and a couple of them lasted 10 years. Their customer service was great at that time as well. They've seriously deteriorated since then.

I called them about memory for my pc build, and they confirmed in stock item, 7 days later and 3 phone calls the item was never shipped, and finally said they don't have it, waisted my time i will never buy from them again.

Lap top doesn’t work trying for three days and all phone numbers are either busy or get a message that they are busy and try calling another time. Got to leave a message once and Two days later no response.
