We were so grateful to find The Travel Cafe Capetown when we were planning to travel to SAF. The team JD and Francois created listened to our wishes and came through for us in every area. From the guides, activities, accommodations and travel, we experienced the beauty of that part of the world. We were so well taken care of. We could not be more grateful for the experience they created for us and have recommended their company to many others already...until next time!!

If you are looking for a custom trip that is full of special hotels, restaurants and locations to visit, this is the tour company for you. Francois, JD and their whole team were very responsive to all our requests and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome. It was a seamless trip from beginning to end. The booklet and app itinerary were excellent, we always knew what we were doing and when. I enjoyed that the restaurants chosen were all local, all different and we were able to order what we wanted, not just a canned buffet. The variety of accommodations was impressive too. The price was certainly right for all we got. Thank you Travel Cafe for this remarkable experience. We will hopefully work with you again on another African adventure!

Notre voyage de 49 nuits à travers l’Afrique du Sud, la Namibie, le Botswana, les Chutes Victoria au Zimbabwe et le Mozambique, organisé par The Travel Café Cape Town, a été tout simplement exceptionnel. Chaque détail — transferts, vols, hébergements et activités — a été parfaitement coordonné. L’itinéraire offrait un équilibre idéal entre aventure et détente : safaris inoubliables dans les parcs nationaux de Timbavati en Afrique du Sud et d’Etosha en Namibie, paysages grandioses du Blyde River Canyon et de Sossusvlei, puis quelques jours paisibles dans le Delta de l’Okavango au Botswana et sur les plages d’Inhambane au Mozambique.

Chaque hébergement reflétait le charme local tout en offrant un excellent confort et un service attentionné. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les petites attentions, les guides passionnants, les rencontres authentiques et le suivi constant et bienveillant de l’équipe du Travel Café. Leur expertise locale et leur engagement pour un tourisme responsable ont fait de ce voyage une expérience familiale inoubliable. Nous recommandons vivement The Travel Café à tous les voyageurs en quête d’une aventure harmonieuse et sans souci à travers l’Afrique australe.

We had an amazing time in South Africa. The itinerary was well planned and the different accommodation well chosen. We really enjoyed our first game drive in an amazing reserve. It was our best experience so far! We could easily follow what was planned with an app, and Charlotte was always available in case we needed any additional information. The children really enjoyed this trip and are asking to come back!

Nous étions 4 copines à vouloir découvrir l’Afrique du Sud. Nous avons eu un très bon contact avec Travel Café, François était à l’écoute de nos souhaits et nous a préparé un voyage sur mesure.
Nous avons été enchantées par ce voyage qui correspondait à nos attentes .
Les guides et les chauffeurs francophones étaient au top. Leur gentillesse et leurs connaissances sont un très bon souvenir de ce voyage.
Les hôtels étaient très chaleureux et plein de charme. Nous avons découvert et apprécié une nourriture locale et variée.
L’organisation du voyage était parfaite, les temps de pauses et de visites étaient bien pensés.
Nous avons particulièrement apprécié toutes les petites attentions : cadeaux, apéritifs surprises….
François, nous te remercions chaleureusement d’avoir suivi notre voyage et d’avoir pris de nos nouvelles quotidiennement. Tu as été très réactif pour chacune de nos demandes et nous t’en remercions.
L’utilisation des nouvelles technologies, dont Travel key, facilite la préparation et le suivi du voyage.
En un mot nous avons adoré notre voyage avec Travel Café et nous pouvons le recommander les yeux fermés.

The travel cafe' created an incredible experience for a large group of us! They began with 80 of us in our first 8 days in cape town for a wedding. We were brilliantly cared for with every transportation arranged from all the places we were staying and whisked away to 4 vineyards (wine farms as they are called in S. Africa), to the beautiful Cape Horn, Table Mountain, food tours, a Lion's Head hiking excursion as well as helping us book a chef for our airbnb where 10 of us were staying. There was never one tiny glitch in this enormous endeavor.
For the next 4 days, 30 of us were flown to Lalibella for an extremely boutique and extravagant safari experience. We went on 6 safaris, were invited to help change a tracker on a cheetah and give her a wellness check with the vet, and found out she was pregnant while doing so! Ruan and Jaimee were amazing wildlife guides-extremely knowledgeable and every day was packed with magic, wildlife and wonder. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all prepared for us and the accomodations were gorgeous and top notch.
For the last week of our stay, 10 of us were flown to Victoria Falls and stayed at the Royal Livingstone hotel-we were greeted with music, hand made hibiscus tea and chair massages as we checked in!! And it only got better from there, believe it or not! We enjoyed a Boma dinner our first night with local entertainment and hand crafted items to peruse. The next days were filled with a tour of Victoria Falls, a helicopter ride over the falls with a crazy, exciting flight through the nearby gorge, a fantastic opportunity to hang over the actual falls (with guides holding our ankles) after a boat ride to Angel's pool and then a chef created lunch overlooking the falls on the island.
We attended a full day of another safari in Chobe and 1/2 the day was from a boat so we were able to get up close and personal with hippos and crocs (yikes!) and elephants with their babies. Truly amazing.
The very best of this last 5 days? A magical afternoon spent at the Elephant Cafe'. We were boated over to an elephant sanctuary where rescued elephants hung out. We were allowed to feed and be with them for quite some time with their handlers. It was life changing and magical. Again, the lunch itself was delicious, and this is a must do if you have the opportunity to participate.
Hanjia and JD set us up with the Golden Circle, which took us from Cape town to Lalibela game reserve to Victoria falls and then back to Cape Town. Every flight, every detail, every transportation, each customs situation were all handled flawlessly by the partners The Travel Cafe chose to care for us.
We've been to a lot of places in this world and this was, hands down, the best experience we have ever had.

The Travel Cafe made planning our trip completely stress-free. From the detailed itinerary to the thoughtful touch of having food waiting for us upon arrival in Cape Town, every aspect was handled with precision and care. The attention to detail and professionalism were truly A+. Now I understand why my friend so enthusiastically recommended The Travel Cafe! JD and his team went above and beyond, ensuring that every part of our vacation was seamless and enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Super séjour en Afrique du sud au mois de novembre avec The Travel Café Cape Town, Nous avons pu organiser notre voyage avec François qui est toujours resté disponible et nous a concocté un voyage selon nos souhaits.
Avant de partir nous avons reçu le programme de notre voyage sur une application dédiée qui s’est avérée très utile une fois sur place. Nous avions ainsi notre programme et le rappel des consignes pour chaque jour.

Sur la durée de ce voyage de 14 jours tout a été respecté : le programme, les horaires, les visites réservées et payées, les réservations des vols intérieurs, la présence des guides sur tous nos déplacements…..
Nous avons pu profiter de chaque moment grâce à une organisation au top, la grande disponibilité d’une équipe de professionnels, la gentillesse et la serviabilité de nos guides et de nos hôtes, l’hôtel au cap puis ensuite les lodges étaient bien situés, très propres et confortables, tous les repas variés et copieux.
Grâce au Travel Café Cape Town, notre rêve est devenu une réalité, je recommande cette agence sans aucune réserve à tous ceux qui veulent découvrir l’Afrique du sud et profiter d’un voyage de rêve.

Points forts: Cap de Bonne Espérance pingouins otaries et toute la péninsule. Boo-Cap. catamaran. les différents safaris et croisières et tout ce qui a été proposé... We loved everything and most highly recommend The Travel Cafe😄! Hanjia put together an amazing itinerary tailored to our interests, made all the arrangements and stopped by our hotel on day one to make sure everything was as we had planned. It felt like she was with us at every step in our journey. Day trips from Cape Town for whale watching, wine tasting and exploring the Cape were great. Our stays at both Thabamati Luxury Tented Camp and Kings Camp were both outstanding for game drives and gourmet dining. We saw more and different animals than we had hoped. The Kings Warren Hide at King’s Camp was fantastic for photography and close observation of animals from elephants and hippos to dragonflies and turtles! Travel Cafe has got it locked in! We will certainly recommend Travel Cafe to any of our friends or relatives considering an Africa trip.

Everything was perfect, from the first appointment untill we landed back in South Africa. We got a personalised booklet, an app that had everything on it and a very special pink bottle and beautiful bag!

Nous avons apprécié toutes les adresses proposées. Tout était abordable. Pour certains, jamais en France, nous aurions osé pousser la porte de ces restaurants.
Nous avons tellement adoré ce voyage. Tout était intuitif. Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances. Juste incroyable! Ça ne se raconte pas ça se vit! Inqualifiable.

I would recommend the boutique travel agency Travelcafé. We went for a self driving circular tour in early September 2024 starting from Cape town. The travel was a great mix of what we were exactly looking for and also attention to the pace in the travel, in terms of distances or load in the program, so one would not feel overrushed and could experience and relax one self, a discreet team in the background present in case of need before, during and after. We were not crying the last day of the travel before heading to the airport, as this last day was still dotted with plenty of marvelous sites/experiences along the Garden Wine Route. We have enjoyed every minute of the travel program and suggestions.

We had 10 of the most magical days touring Namibia courtesy of The Travel Cafe! It was quite simply an incredible experience; the tour route and accommodations were wonderful as was all the guidance and help we received from the brilliant team! Thank you so much for making our Namibia dream trip come true!

This trip was a dream come true! From the moment I saw the itinerary, I knew I had to go and take my sister with me. The planning and getting there was seamless, with the help of JD and The Travel Cafe Cape Town. We really appreciated the Zoom calls prior to our trip to get more details and have questions answered.
It was all amazing but the biggest surprise for me was how much I loved Cape Town. What a beautiful, clean, friendly, metropolitan city. There was so much to see and do, without spending hours on a bus. The small group is the way to go. Such a personalized, attentive feeling you get at every destination!
Timbivati was amazing but different than what I thought it was going to be like. Honestly I thought there would be more wildlife and not so hard to get a sighting. But it was kind of like going on a hunt! The landscape was breathtaking, at sunrise and sunset. Not having a whole bunch of other vehicles, competing for space and sightings was also great. Definitely a more private experience. We loved the stops to chat, eat, and drink midway through the drive. It was such a special, luxury camp, and the setting, food, ambiance and people were fantastic.
Truly a boutique five star experience, in the middle of the bush!
Victoria Falls, the Royal Livingstone Hotel and steam train dinner just capped off a perfect trip. Everyday we said, “oh it can’t get much better than this” but it always did. There were surprises around every corner.
Our trip was EPIC. We truly felt like family by the end and were happy to meet and spend time and experiences with Francois and your mom and dad. For Kathy and I, family is EVERYTHING so it was great to feel like we fit right in with yours ❤️. We loved having a personal, professional photographer too!!! So many great pictures to cherish and remind us how blessed we were to experience Africa, on an authentic adventure that will remain embedded in our hearts. Thank you.
