After having my appointment to sign off my contact lenses, I was eagerly awaiting delivery of my lenses. The lenses arrived on a Saturday and imagine my disappointment when I realised they were my old prescription. I contacted the branch to tell them this and was informed that this was the prescription that had been signed off. I asked why when I had a new prescription would the old prescription be signed off?
I was passed onto the female optician who informed me she could do nothing and I needed to wait until the other optician returned on Tuesday.
I expressed that this was just not good enough and they had left me down as I now had no contact lenses.
The female optician told me that I had never had the prescription lenses that I was saying I should have. Insinuating a clustomer is a liar is never a good move, especially when you are the one that ordered the trial lenses in the first place. When I pointed this out, she seemed embarrassed and rightly so she should. I was told I would have some trial lenses sent to me free of charge and that I needed to go into branch on Tuesday with the lenses which had wrongly been sent.
I returned the lenses to branch on the Tuesday and asked for my direct debit to be cancelled as I had now ordered lenses off line. The lenses I ordered on line from another company took just 3 days to arrive, where as the free trial lenses from Tesco took nearly a week.
I will not be using Tesco Opticians again as they are not only dearer and much slower but they do not seem to be able to organise a tea party in a tea factory!

My husband and I have been going to Tesco Opticians at Sprowston, Norwich for some years now. The opticians are thorough and knowledgeable and inspire confidence. The reception/ancillary staff are wonderfully welcoming and kind. I've always chosen the very reasonably-priced frames and my last ones were only £20. This included a full eye test and the lenses according to my prescription. They were ready the next day! I can't imagine any other opticians offering such an excellent, reliable service at such a low cost. I'd like to thank all concerned - brilliant!

Absolutely terrible service delivery times way too long.
i spent nearly £400 on lenses alone and was told I could not have a new case because the frames were mine. I subsequently found that i could have bought the exact same lenses for over £100 less from another high street opticians and over £150 less from a private optician.

I will never ever use this optician again

After tears of great spectacles from Tesco , I had a problem with them this year . I could not use either pair , as the focus was really bad enough to make me dizzy every time I wore them . I returned them to Tesco over ten times , each time they took them away for a few minutes and bent them to a different angle . All to no avail ! I even had my sight retested at another organisation . They stated that Tesco had got the measurements wrong ! I eventually got Tesco to get another pair made up . Although this was a complaint , and I have not been able to use my spectacles for over seven months , they did not treat the matter as urgent , and when I telephoned them today , they stated that I STILL have to wait until the twentieth of July ! Not good enough Tesco !

Brought my glasses from Tesco and had transition lens which I have had in the past with no issues from other opticians. Tesco say they put anti scratch on the lens for free but not even had the glasses for two month and the lens have scratched. I went into the store as I have not dropped the glass and only cleaned with the glass cloth. the optician took the glass to look at and said no scratch he then cleaned the glasses and I need to point the scratch out to him. he then said there must have been grit on the cloth and this can happen nothing he would do when I questioned the anti scratch he said £90 to replace and that glasses do scratch even with anti scratch on them. poor response to question only interest in getting more money and not help customers with question on a product they supply.

if I could give them zero stars I would be warned do not buy glasses from Tesco in Dumfries I ordered lens from this store on the 9/6/2017 after a long delay and many phone calls was told the lens would be free of charge guess what was told yesterday 1/7/2017 that my lens were damaged when they were fitting them into frame so asked me what I wanted to do wait another week for glasses without a guarantee that they would be ready or to cancel will never be back to Tesco for anything though Tesco did say they are looking into it again

Tesco, Corstorphine, Edinburgh. The girls were great, I was made to feel at ease. Very prompt and efficient indeed. I was informed by phone that glasses were ready in only 2 days. What more could I ask. Keep up the good work.

Very good service in gillingham. Very polite and reassuring. A thorough eye examination with no sales pressure. Highly recommended.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am emailing to complain about the opticians in Brooklands store, Weybridge. My husband and I both had appointments today for an eye test. My husbands was at 12:10 and mine was 12:30.
We left home with enough time to get there and park. As we arrived my husband noticed 3 missed calls on his mobile which were from 12:02, 8 minutes prior to his appointment. I also had missed calls at 12:10, 20 minutes prior to my appointment.
We went to the optician department where we were told that the staff there had been trying to get in touch with the optician who had been due to start work at 11 and she hadn't arrived.
My complaint is that it was left until 8 minutes before my husbands appointment to contact him, when if we had been contacted earlier we wouldn't have had a wasted journey. It simply is not good enough and once again emphasises that as far as your company is concerned the customer is not valued or important.
My other complaint is the attitude of the member of staff we saw, there was no apology. I appreciate it wasn't her fault but she is representing Tesco and should have appeared to be interested in the customer. When she asked if we wanted to rebook and we said no she simply shrugged, once again indicating that she didn't care. Her attitude and behaviour emphasised my earlier point, Tesco does not value or care about their customers.
We will not be returning to Tesco optician, I would rather pay more than go somewhere where they don't care.

Ordered Glasses week last Friday arriving on Saturday no show, call and told now next Friday wish i had gone to Specsavers Tesco

Visited Tecso Options Yeovil on 16/6/17. The assistant who helped me was exceptionally helpful and pleasant BUT her manager was rude, aggressive and clearly had no client facing skills whatsoever - indeed I felt obliged to point this out to her and even then she did not conceded her attitude was wrong. She couldn't have been less helpful.

WARNING do not buy your glasses from here .....extremely slow service, rude people especially Rob , waited 5 weeks for my glasses NEVER AGAIN

I have always reveived amazing service from my local tesco optician. The staff are always si friendly and helpful. The quality of the frames is great and they offer excellent value for money. There are no hidden costs unlike other opticians. The price you see on the frames is what you pay for the frames and basic lenses. Never had a problem.
They always have very fashionable lenses and offer free eye tests to everyone

I purchased a pair of glasses last September at the Surrey Quays branch. After only 6 months of use, one of the arms of the frame fell off. I took the frames back to the store and complained about the bad quality. The staff at the store refused to have the frames repaired and instead, accused me of breaking the arm off. They subsequently took another pair of glasses and broke the arm of that pair in front of me. I am disgusted at the behaviour of the customer service at this store.

Only after we complained multiple times, they finally agreed to send off the glasses to the manufacturer. However, we were not guaranteed to having the frames replaced nor repaired.

Within the last month I've had 2 eye test appointments cancelled by my local Tesco (Park Road Liverpool) As I work during the week, I booked an appointment for a Saturday and was contacted by Tesco Opticians a few days before the appointment. I was told that the appointment was cancelled because they 'struggle to get opticians at weekends??' If this is the case, why am I still able to book weekend slots for this store online? I rebooked anyway for today (Bank Holiday Monday) and received a call 45 mins before the appointment telling me that the optician has rang in sick. Terrible service, I won't be back

Unfortunately could not leave no stars. The optician I had the misfortune to meet ( after a long wait ) was curt and obnoxious. I got the impression that it was an inconvenience that I wanted an eye test from him. I will not be attending the Salisbury branch again. Actually any branch again. It may be free but I still expect a certain level of service.

As I was greeted slovenly by "Are you alright", I should have assumed straight away that the experience was not going to be the same as I was used to with 'High Street' opticians.
After he got over the shock of the fact that I was in fact a bone fide customer and not something that had blown in of the street (this is the impression I got), I was invited to take a seat on 'the bench'.
I was left on the bench without any contact for a period of 12 minutes. As I felt that my custom was obviously not required and it was quite possible that I would be ignored for a further 12 minutes, I left.

Avoid these sharks. It's the only way that they will learn!

No fuss, no waiting around, made an appointment and on the day I just went in, got seen straight away, had a relatively quick test and was presented with a prescription and large choice of frames immediately, it just so happened they had a pair I liked and I took them up on their 2 for 1 offer, job done, as it should be, very welcoming staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere, all round excellent.

Took a while to get my glasses right.
