Vision express Tesco Highwoods refused to let me pick up my contact lenses,take them home and try them ( I suffer from massive anxiety around people).I made an appointment to just pick up the lenses but was forced to fit them in the store making my anxiety just basically explode so I left the store without an item I desperately need and now will have to go somewhere else and start the process again.

I would also like to point out that I was told vision express were the best as recommended by a friend ………..this isn’t the case.

Two pairs of glasses (one pair sunglasses) costing me over £200 I cannot use either because lenses are incorrect,focal,bi focal,vari focal it’s just trial and error with this company.

6 months to find the right prescription which they couldn’t so opted for contact lenses but again messed it up.

Visited Vision Express at Tesco Whitstable to discuss the new Nuance hearing glasses. The staff were pleasant and knowledgeable. They quickly arranged an eye test. Staff of note - Julie, who measured and fitted the glasses and the optician, Narmatha. All good.

The glasses. They will take some getting used to. Certainly, I can see the benefit as nothing is inside your ear. One small problem. They cannot be adjusted and are a little tight at the side of my head. However, I will give it all some time to get used to them (I have 100 days).

All in all, a good experience. Thank you.

Three times I’ve approached the staff at this shop and when you know enough is enough for me and enough is enough so let me explain.
I’m going into a little bit detail I bought bifocals from these guys nearly 300 quid. One of the lenses become detached on a Friday morning..

To ring in the store around nine times and each time the store was rejecting the calls so I decided to walk in after all I was offered a lifetime guarantee

So I walked to vision express in Tesco at Walkden and guess what? I was told There is nothing we can do for you until Monday.

How am I supposed to see? I said…..

“The optician said superglue the glass to the frame” a job for them would have taken just 15 minute to repair.

When I arrived the phone started to ring and guess what?

The guy was deleting the phone calls that were coming in so I’m guessing he was doing the same with me when I was ringing for help.

So I said to him “what do I do for glasses from
Now till Monday? he said “go downstairs in one of the booths they will repair it for you”

I said what? I bought my glasses from you a year ago for over £300 and now you’re telling me you’re not gonna repair it. You’ve been ignoring the phone calls all afternoon, but go downstairs to one of the booths they’ll repair it….

What absolutely disgusting service, prior to that I went into the same opticians to book a new appointment to have a retest and the price of new glasses again bifocals and they come up with the price of £475. What planet do these guys at this store live on?

The staff are beyond rude arrogance and they are not there to help you… THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU.

Because it’s a Friday and they wanna finish work couldn’t give a shit about you me or our eyesight, they just don’t care guys.

PLEASE take my word, stay stay away from VISION EXPRESS TESCO WALKDEN THEY ARE A DISGUSTING HORRIBLE SERVICE FOR US.
There are many more options that you can choose from, not these Skanks at this shop because they don’t care about you your eye sight or your times in need. They want your money.
They’ve prove that, the service is zero. Don’t make the same mistake as me.. I was simply let down when my eyesight was needed super poor service stay away guys

An absolutely disgraceful service , my partners appointment was cancelled and she was asked to call back to re arrange- we have been put on hold for 1 hour 15 minutes , they say they are short staffed , no excuse - it takes a few seconds to answer a phone - I bet even if they're short staffed they still manage to squeeze their tea breaks and lunch breaks in - no impressed at all - I would never use them

I dropped my glasses on Saturday. I went to Tesco South Road, Dundee to ask if they could be repaired. A lovely assistant said there was a part missing and probably couldn’t be repaired. She went above and beyond to to assist and I got my glasses repaired. Thank you to this wonderful woman.
Excellent service.

Another cancelled appointment at the last minute. Not another available appointment in site. Got the same treatment last year , apparently no opticians available for weeks. Eventually got my glasses, ordered grey frames and got brown. So sick I took them anyway. A complete second rate company , if you enjoy being messed around, this is the company for you.

I went to the day because I wanted some glasses Fairy focus Tinted Distance and reading glasses 470 pound I can get a pair of glasses from Asda 120 Tescos you are ripping people off mate Are for 1000 pounds for poxy glasses Keep them I go to Asda a 120 pounds

My appointment was booked a week before the date, they then rang me the Friday afternoon to say my appointment has been cancelled due to faulty tools,I’d booked a half day
Off work for this, the appointment was for the Monday
I’ve lost confidence of them keeping the next appointment

Staff are great

BUT

Quality of the glasses are trash! Every pair I've had have broken! Lenses are made of a cheap plastic that scratches easily.

I just paid £320 for my last pair a few months ago expecting a bit of quality, the lenses have badly scratched and the right arm as broken off!!

Changed from Specsavers and never looked back. Then took my 94 year old Gran in due to concerning sight problems and they were amazing towards her and the service provided. Professional in every way and the latest up to date equipment. Ive never had an issue yet. Can fully recommend. Lenses or Glasses.

V helpful staff, fast turn around & good prices

Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They bent over backwards to help and nothing was too much bother. The glasses are perfect and fit perfectly too
