Disappointing experience overall, but excellent service from one staff member

I recently took my Audi in for a scheduled oil and filter service and unfortunately had a disappointing overall experience.

I arrived at around 9:30am and was waiting for an update. By approximately 2:30pm, having heard nothing, I called to check on progress. It took several attempts to get through, and when I did, I was advised that the relevant person was busy and that a message would be passed on. I did not receive a call back.

As it approached 4pm and I still hadn’t heard anything, I attended the dealership in person while on my way to another job. I was then informed that the vehicle had only just gone in for the service, which was frustrating given the earlier delay and lack of communication.

I waited further, and at around 5:15pm I was updated again. Throughout this, Gemma on reception was polite, professional and apologetic for the delay and confusion. I want to be clear that I have no issue with her at all — she handled the situation well despite what appeared to be wider issues with communication or workload.

After leaving due to time pressures, I later noticed a small dent/scratch on the driver’s door area that had not been present before the vehicle was handed in. I have since contacted customer services to ask that this is investigated and resolved.

At this stage, I am awaiting a response and hope this can be resolved promptly without the need for further escalation.

Overall, the three stars are for Gemma’s professionalism alone. The rest of the experience, particularly around communication and timing, fell below expectations.

Really good service staff at OPC Wolverhampton, a little confusion at the work I required completed and Porsches own intransigence at how the work should be completed to maintain the warranty was a bit OTT,

Great work from Craig and the wider team. Definitely worth the little extra buying Jaguar approached used cars. Highly recommended.

Two failed appointments where they forgot I'd booked a courtesy car, followed by a wasted journey as I found out the two faults weren't covered under warranty.

Willingness to get involved with an app fault.

Crap company. Never fix things on time and when they do fix the car it usually fails soon after.

First time failed on the forecourt when leaving.

Second time the brand new fuel hose came off and spilled diesel all over the M1. Highways agency now seeking payment for the cleanup.

Avoid this dealer.

Rang several Mercedes dealers and quite honestly Shihad from MB LAKESIDE was the only one keen for my business and his knowledge on product was bang on.
My local dealer the opposite so that’s why I spent my money with him and them and will do so again.Car as presented was lovely and very happy all round with the service.

Engine blew up 5 miles after being fixed by Audi. After that only lies and broken promises. Would not recommend even to my enemies.

Never again you need to call me to hear my experience

After the initial welcome as it was my birthday and hoping to collect my new car the experience went down hill. I was asked to sign off documents when I had not seen the cat, after being at the dealership for over an hour! It took a further 30 minutes for the car to be made available for inspection and then there were issues with how it had been prepared with dust on the inner doors and dirty/leaves under the bonnet.
After this was sorted the car then had a fault before I had driven off the forecourt and I had to leave the dealership in a loan car.
Poor on behalf of Stratstone and poor by JLR product.

Buying a car the should feel as precision-tuned as the car itself, and I’m thrilled to say my experience was exactly that.
