Excellent service from start to finish
Had our work surfaces replaced excellent service from Larrissa giving us a quote through to the surveyor and fitting with Cameron who worked like a Trojan In terrible weather even made us some chopping boards with the off cuts from the sink definitely recommend
1st Class Product
The overall finish and look is excellent, the fitters were very careful and professional.
I would recommend taking the new sink option as it highlights the finish.
The build quality is stunning.
I would have given a 5 instead of a 4 if the customer service had matched the product and fitting.
Alas the line 2 option for existing customers goes unanswered and cuts off, you have to cheat and press 1 for new sales to get through.
I asked that the rubbish be taken away as per their website statement but the double sided A3 document which I was asked to sign immediately( it would take 2 days to read it through completely) had an ink circle put round the No box which I didn't notice and the pink copy which they leave you doesnt show their ink marks, that meant they could leave the rubbish for me to clear.
Absolutely 10 out of 10
Absolutely 10 out of 10, the whole process from start to finish was excellent. The fitter, Peter who installed the worktops, sink and hob carried out the work with extreme professionalism, I would describe him as been a perfectionist, I can’t rate this company highly enough.
AVOID
AVOID - Appalling archaic company policy and service -
I telephoned today to arrange a quote visit. To begin with the receptionist was extremely pleasant and booked a suitable appointment.
All good….. until at the end I was asked “ if there was anyone else in the household who is a decision maker of had financial responsibility for this appointment?”
I answered I had a husband but he would not be available and I made comment I could not see the relevance to the appointment.
The reply I was given was OUTRAGEOUS AND ARCHAIC. I was TOLD as my husband was not going to be there the appointment COULD NOT go ahead as they like to know everyone is happy with the product.
My answer was I was managing our renovations- my husband was VERY happy with my choices ( I know this is correct as we have been together 28 years and he has never questioned any decorating or home decisions!) and I was making the payment if we went ahead and had autonomy to do this!!
I also stated at this point my husband was away. The answer was the same!
I asked to be passed to a manager & received the same answer with an additional reason it is company policy. The manager told me the sales rep ( Steve) would be driving from Torquay ( a 35-40 min drive - hardly a long way if the company choose to have reps covering an area) and would not want a wasted journey as he is self employed and if all the decision makers weren’t available.
I actually couldn’t believe what I was hearing.
The manager asked when my husband was back & they could offer evenings, Sats etc … THAT was NOT the point. The point is, I do not need my husband for a quote appointment or this company telling me I can’t make a decision without him 🤯 WHAT decade are we in?
The conversation was so absurd i pointed out if my husband came home today and left me - I could call tomorrow and make an appointment for my kitchen worktops….REALLY?!
The manager advised” they could not leave samples and many times one party has been there and then said they needed to refer to their husband”… my reply to this was of course some people do but to me that sounded like a completely HARD SELL and they wanted a decision on the day. The reply was that was not the case but I cannot see it is anything else.
The manager then told me “ if the timescales don’t work for you to wait until your husband is home for him to be there then maybe this isn’t the company for you”…
By this stage I was absolutely upset, angry and appalled by the conversation and would never consider having any dealings with them - even if my husband was available for a suevey appointment!
This company has some serious issues with its customer service and company policy - the product may be good- I will never know and suggest to other prospective clients be very wary of a company who think in this day this is the way to treat someone.
IT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
What a fantastic experience
What a fantastic experience. Quick to reply to our online enquiry, Larissa the
rep was very friendly, knowledgeable and more importantly not pushy or constantly trying to close. The worktops and fitter arrived as told and have to say Piotr the installer was brilliant and did an amazing job. Slight issue with one of the worktops but got a replacement two days later no quibbles and very apologetic. Cannot recommend enough.
Appalling Customer Service.
Appalling Customer Service.
If you want to feel like a valued customer after spending thousands of pounds avoid this company. There is zero communication between the sales people, installers and the customer support. I’m not sure why Rihan at head office gave me her direct line as she hasn’t answered her phone once (I’ve called it 5 times) or replied to my voicemails.
I was assured that the fitter who was returning to complete unfinished/faulty work would call me today to let me know when he would be arriving tomorrow as Rihan advised me of the wrong day he could return, so I’m left trying to rearrange things once again. The work on my small kitchenette began on 20th Sept and I’m writing this on 5th October with an incomplete Kitchen.
Awful service.
Great product but company has failings
Great product initially we were really excited.a sales woman came out to us (Andrea I think).explained everything showed us the Quartz tops available & explained how things work.we paid the deposit & she explained the surveyor would be in contact to arrange to survey the kitchen.again a really pleasant surveyor came out to us & gave us some great ideas ( at no extra cost) to really make the kitchen look fantastic.he took his time & explained the process thoroughly.
We got our date ( didn't wait long) & the company phoned us to ask for the remainder of the balance
So the big day arrived & the driver & goods arrived at 8 am in the morning & at the same time the fitter arrived.thank god the fitter did arrive at the same time as the driver from Swansea was a lone person.now these tops are extremely heavy & long as are the splashbacks etc.i would not of been able to have helped the driver in with the worktops as I was still recovering from a hernia operation.thankfully Nigel (the fitter)& his son were on hand to bring the goods in.
Nigel worked all day transforming our tired kitchen.he didn't leave until 18:47 pm that evening.we paid him as everything he had done was O.k.. but not perfect as he left he told us any problems just phone him.we had a couple of slight snags & true as his word he came back & fixed these slight snags as we thought but had to contact him again about damage to overhead fan & filter....he was very aggressive towards us but eventually admitted it could have been him.
Meanwhile we had a couple of things to ask the company about so I tried phoning & got " we are sorry but we are away from our desk at the moment please leave your name & phone number & we will get back to you",NO THEY DONT!So I tried texting them again no answer.eventually some 2 -3 weeks later Anita did contact us.
So to sum up sales person 5 star
Surveyor 5 star
FITTER 2 star reason being see below.
Company really should use their own fitters ones that could be trusted to complete the work in a competent manner.this would stop having to go through a 3rd party to get the job finished correctly.
Honestly there are loads of companies doing this product & as they have a tv advert we thought great.
Update.....2nd December.been trying to get hold of Nigel the fitter unfortunately found out from himself he has been in hospital.promised to come & sort out the problems we still have but not heard anything for about 6 weeks & not engaging in any messages etc.we have since found out through the company that the compound that you use to join any joints in worktops etc is not what Nigel the fitter used.so consequently it has cracked.to be fair on the company they explained that the jointing compound they use comes in big tubs & is sealed with ultra violet light ? This is not what Nigel done.
Look forward to Jan next year when hopefully everything will be ship shape.
So contacted company and they are coming out on the 22nd of Jan 2024 to fix the problems.
Will add anymore info after the 22nd Jan.
UPDATE 01/01/2024 Nigel the fitter never returned to put things right even though he promised.really hope the company keeps to their date of the 22nd of Jan 2024
UPDATE
so Dave & kieran just been out to fix the shoddy workmanship of the original fitter (nigel) really pleasant lads who explained everything & what was wrong & why the joint was so poor.a huge thankyou to them & have since up graded quick-tops to 3 stars.
Trying to be positive but its really hard
Trying to be positive but its really hard
Trying to be positive, but it's really hard with this company - we may have just been very unlucky with our job but it comes across as extremely unprofessional and really badly managed. And quite dangerous if I'm being completely honest.
On the plus side.
Sales process was ok - sales agent was genuinely helpful and came up with good ideas. It would be nice if they could have returned our calls when we started experiencing problems though.
On the ok side.
Survey was a bit difficult. The person moaned a lot about the job and what we had been sold and that they couldn't understand the notes so we were left trying to explain it all again in terms that probably didn't make much sense to them. She made us feel very uncomfortable. I'm not sure I'd want her in my house again tbh.. Things were left off the survey - and yes you are made to sign a document that you will not understand as it is all acronyms and terms that the company use. Not the best of representatives for your company or best experience.
On the negative side
Management at Quartzize - process seems very badly managed. Poor communication, terrible organisational skills, with a clear disregard for Health & Safety. If our experience is anything to go by serious accidents will happen with this company sooner or later if they haven't already. There is a "hodge podge" of freelance people working for them that don't seem to care about you and your safety as a customer, let alone about your job.
We were booked a fitter for the 21 August. No one shows up.
A delivery driver turns up with a lot of goods for the job on his own. No one to help him unload and he's not best pleased or happy. I think it's very unprofessional to not send the appropriate people to deliver and unload items. Having clients unload 2m and 3m lengths of sharp quartz work top is not what we expected and a potential Health and Safety nightmare. We were very fortunate our son didn't hurt himself doing the unloading job. These are very heavy quartz worktops. Quite how a company doesn't send three people to do this job I don't know. It is dangerous and not acceptable to ask or expect your customers to do this job for you.
After several calls we are told there has been a mistake and the fitter is now booked for 22nd.
The next day a fitter (#1) arrives and we discover several problems. 1) some of the order hasn't been delivered and the survey is wrong so he can't complete his work 2) some things that were delivered are wrong so he can't work with it ie door hinges (turns out this was his capability level not the parts, he just didn't have the required skills to complete the job) and he spends the next two days installing various elements of the job, but leaving quite bit still left to do, questionable installation approaches, a poor finish on some elements and a fair bit of mess. This fitter stayed till 7:30pm to finish what he could but left the job unfinished, He leaves an electrical socket exposed as he doesn't have the screws he needs to screw it in....but he spent large amounts of time on his phone talking about other jobs though :(
We're told by Quartzize that a new fitter (fitter #2) would arrive on the 24th and to be fair they did turn up on the 24th. They seemed more capable and professional than fitter #1 and were able to complete a couple of the small jobs fitter #1 was incapable of. But since the parts they needed hadn't been delivered they were unable to stay to complete the job.
We're then informed that the 3rd fitter would come on the 25 Aug. Waited till 10 am - still no one turns up. Phoned the office and after several attempts, get through - it turns out the fitter isn't coming either. They had the booking on their app appraently - but for some reason the job had been marked complete. The office thought they were coming from Wales. The fitter was in Luton... No one knows much really and it's sort of left to you as a customer to try and figure out what is going on.
So we're now three fitters into the job and the 4th fitter is now booked for Sunday.
We're 5 days into a job that was described as 2 days, 4 fitters (assuming the next lot turn up), a fitter that the other described as essentially incompetent, some badly installed bits of kitchen. We have fitters badmouthing the warehouse team, the surveyor and head office, fitters than aren't very professional and leave exposed electrical sockets ... And of course a half finished kitchen...
I'm sure the team at Quartzize will respond to this post before our job gets finished - probably with "it's your fault as a customer" type message ... and will also leave this review on Quick Countertops as well as that is the brand that we initially contacted.
Good luck if you use this company - hopefully it was just our job that was a complete and dangerous 'omni shambles'
