Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. I use their web email tool to request assistance even though it takes 2 days for a response. But I never get a response, or when I do, it's often many more than 2 days. Recently, I received a notice from them stating I was very close to my 5 GB data limit. I was only on my billing day 3 of my 30 day billing cycle. I have never even come close to my limit, so I requested their help. No response. Still no response as of this writing. Furthermore, their billing includes something called a "recovery fee." Twice I've asked what this was all about, and I have yet to receive a response. (Sounds like a BBB complaint may be necessary). They advertise a rate of (in my case) $25 per month, but then they tack on a ghost fee, which is in addition to taxes. If the "recovery fee" is necessary it should be included in their advertised "fixed" fee. In my case, that would be $26.63 per month plus taxes. False advertising.
Puretalk responded to the above fairly quickly, so they are able to respond. However, they blame the GB limit on me. I know how to view my plan usage. It wasn't a localized setting on my phone. When I checked my usage on Puretalk's website, it showed I was at 95% USAGE. (BTW, this changed to my actual usage 2 days later). And I know how to adjust the data warning message on my phone.
Puretalk's response never addressed my concern about their advertising phone plan costs and the recovery fee. They only explained (without specifics) what the recovery fee was. That was not the issue.
BTW, they still have not responded to my web email.

The data limit notification you’re seeing is likely a localized setting on your Android device, rather than a restriction from PureTalk. To adjust or disable this:
Open Settings > Network & Internet.
Tap SIMs (or Data usage).
Select Data warning & limit.
To disable: Toggle "Set data warning" to Off.
To adjust: Tap "Data warning" and increase the GB threshold to a higher limit.
You can always view your actual PureTalk data usage in real-time by logging into your portal at puretalk.com/account/login and selecting the Plan tab.
The Recovery Fee helps us cover costs related to federal and state program compliance, taxes, and administrative fees. For a transparent breakdown of exactly what you're being charged:
Log in to your portal and go to the Billing tab.
Click the plus (+) icon next to any transaction for a detailed view.

I've been with PureTalk since 2024 and I've never had a problem. Customer Service is excellent, signal service is great, the price is awesome, The Reps are very helpful and understandable. I went from paying $65 a month and having 4G LTE, to paying $45 a month and having 5G or 5G+. I'd say it was a pretty good switch.

Poor customer service
I bought a new cell phone from them and after 30 days it stopped working. They referred me to the manufacturer for warranty service. The manufacturer told me the phone was out of the warranty period. Calling PureTalk back they told me that thew warranty issue was my problem and to honor my contract or pay the full amount for the phone. I bought a used phone from Backmarket.com that has worked fine since. It has been almost 2 years, and I am still paying for a phone I never had use of. I was told to bad so sad. Asked to speak with a supervisor and was told no. This is a picture of horrible customer service! I am a veteran and liked the idea of using a veteran owned company, so much for that.
